Gorilla Sushi is so delicious!!! We just had the craving for sushi and knew we wanted to come here! It was amazing and we got to dine in, which were happy about! Everything was outstanding, and the service staff is so nice! Can't wait to chow down on some more sushi soon the ambiance is really nice but it is a small place so be prepared!

I was in the area and heard the sushi here was good. The person who told me was wrong, it's not good... IT'S GREAT!!!I had the volcano roll, the Miami roll, and fried shumai...all three were delicious. I will come all the way over here again to get more delicious sushi at great prices!!

My friend recommended this place - she mentioned it was a chain with great prices for sushi. I have to agree - it's a great meal to get for takeout or delivery when you're in the mood to be at home and cozy (like us) - yummy but definitely won't break the bank.

I tried four sushi rolls for the first time from here, and I ordered through a delivery service. I was delivered my order pretty quickly and the quality was very well done! There are a lot of unique roll options and the classics are available as well. I will definitely be ordering from take out from here again!

Definitely the best sushi in Chicago by far. Got this takeout style and were able to order all our favorite classic rolls, which have been surprisingly difficult to find elsewhere. The flavors were there, as were the texture and the temperature (seriously, so many other places were serving the fish lukewarm) and the wasabi was the right color (which I understand is kind of stupid, but it was important for me). It wasn't too pricey and they prepared our order rather quickly. They were friendly when we picked it up. It wasn't "impressive" but it was definitely a very solid sushi place. Will be back to dine in for sure.

So, I'm back writing a new review. They finally have hours that match online to when they're actually open, and the staff is efficient and friendly. Once you're seated they take your order and service is pretty quick, even with the huge amounts of delivery orders and take out orders that they get. While there, Grub Hub and Uber Eats came in multiple times, but I still got waited on as I would if I were the only person in the restaurant. The food is delicious for the price you pay. Definitely my new go to sushi place. Ambiance is cozy and friendly. Definitely a good neighborhood place to frequent several times a month. Satisfies my sushi cravings for sure. If ordering under $15 you must pay cash, but otherwise, credit and debit are accepted. Amex is the only card that's not currently accepted, but Apple Pay is available, and I'm fine with that. My original review wasn't about ambiance or food quality, but about lack of consistency with business hours. That has now been remedied, so I'm able to give them a much deserved thumbs up!

I ordered for delivery through UberEats for lunch because they had a great deal - 3 traditional rolls with miso soup for less than $15!I tried the golden California, crunch spicy salmon, and the mini Godzilla. They tasted fresh and were delicious. The miso soup also had a lot of flavor.I really liked how they packed the food as well- it held up great during delivery. I do think that I will order from here again!

We tried the mexican, crazy, salmon sashimi, dinosaur, tigger, seaweed salad and fried chicken wings. All were tasty, really fresh and the wings were fried perfectly. The seaweed salad was just so-so. To-go was quick and easy, we'll definitely be back!
