Consistent, fast, affordable, delicious, healthy! Staff are always sweet and easy to interact with. I don't mind at all that they're take out only - go elsewhere if you're dying to dine in! If you're like me, you enjoy Gorilla because they offer an opportunity to get a delicious affordable meal, that you can grab on the way to a lake picnic or for a cozy night on your couch. Never change! (And anyone that says otherwise is silly). OH and the spicy miso soup is to die for.

I love this place so much!! It's my go to grab and go lunch order when I'm on that side of town!! I usually place an order, pick it up 20 mins later and then make my way to the lakefront for a "lunch with a view". Employees are always nice and happy to greet me. The food is always good. Can't beat $4 mini rolls.

Price is nice and sushi seems serviceable but what's with this place being delivery and pick up only (at least when I went)If you are trying to enjoy sushi by delivery or pick up you have already failed at eating sushi...Why even complain even though I am...lolNote to Gorilla...Open the dining room and serve sushi properly...Getting sushi to go is like ordering breakfast to go...It's food meant to be eaten as soon as possible.

Oh wow! Decent sushi at a fabulous price! I ordered 4 rolls via delivery on the app tonight and everything was delicious...could have been a touch warmer but I think that's a matter of opinion. I got: The crunchy spicy salmon roll - the crunch was minimal just flakes of the tempura in the rice, could be a bit more crunchy. The spicy is the sauce on the top and depending on how much is on that slice of the roll, determines the level. If there's a decent amount it can get spicy! The mini Godzilla roll - so good! My favorite roll and sadly so since there was only 4 pieces and was fairly skinny compared to the other rolls. Would love to see this roll offered in a larger portion.The golden California - 10/10 a great update to a classic. Can't go wrong here. And lastly the shrimp tempura. Another classic but it definitely lacked "tempura" to me. I'll definitely be back! The prices and portions make it easy to get a little adventurous with your order choices!

Ordered a rainbow roll and 4 pieces of salmon sushi. The salmon was brown and clearly hot high quality/fresh. The rainbow roll came with half the rolls topped with avocado instead of fish, clearly a money saving gimmick and another sign of bad quality.I would not recommend this place for sushi. Giving 2 stars because the food was affordable, although the price was not low enough to justify the lack of quality.

I'm deathly allergic to shellfish. I told them. They put shellfish in my carryout order. It would have killed me. They refused to deliver what I ordered or refund my money. Do Not trust this restaurant. You could die.

Meh. This is one of those "you get what you pay for" scenarios. I was craving sushi, so it scratched that itch, but nearly all 4 different rolls I ordered lacked flavor, starting with the rice. Good sushi rice uses a dash of vinegar and a pinch of sugar - this was so bland. Everything else felt like it needed salt to bring out any flavor. I used the outrageously sodium-packed soy sauce to do so, but then all you taste is soy sauce. There were other rolls I wanted to try, but now I wonder if I'm better off just spending a little more to get better quality. Or just making my own at home as I've done before which had far more flavor. Also, I've ridden or walked past this place for two or three years now, and because the rollup gate is always half down, you never know if they're open or not. I always just assumed they were closed because I never saw people in there. Apparently it's to-go only. Which is fine, but maybe have a BIG, neon "OPEN" sign or *something* for new customers who aren't already in the know. The half-down gate makes it look like you are about to close or just opened and aren't ready for business.
