Gordos Tacos

Nice small restaurant in Scottsdale! They have a huge menu. They are busy with lots of dine in customers and take out orders. They are so nice and informed us that it may take some times to get the food.The enchiladas are tasty and hot. The horchata and fruit juices are delicious and tasted like homemade. We got the brownie-ish cheesecake is so surprisingly wonderful.

Their ground beef is terrible. And adding raw cabbage to make it appear as lettuce on top of enchiladas ( or many of the entrees) tastes disgusting. It totally changes the flavor of the tortilla and makes it bitter. As far as the service -It would be wise to not tell your patrons it's going to be 15-20 mins for a to go order when in reality it's 35-40 minutes. This is the reason we will no longer be going back there. Be honest and tell your customers the actual amount of time it's going to take. Both of us ate less than 5 bites of the 2 large entrees because the taste of the cabbage. Complete waste of $35.

I have been to Gordo's countless times, and it's safe to say that this is some of the best Mexican food in the valley.You walk in to this hole-in-the-wall place and are consumed by the aroma of their cooking. The lady that is almost always here who greets me is very sweet, and I have never had an order be incorrect.Their new menu that they installed a few weeks ago offers my new favorite item called The Phoeniquera Taco (not pictured) One downside is the high prices, but I still come back for their incredible food. When the restaurant is full it also takes a while for your food to come out, and if you are with a large group you will not all get your items at the same time.

Gordos has become my new street taco addiction. First Class friendly, welcoming service, that's quick & easy.You place your order, take a seat & when your food is ready it's delivered to your table. Gordos tacos are fresh, multiple variety of chicken, beef, pork or shrimp taco choices, good chicken enchiladas, delicious taquitos, fresh fluffy rice, whole seasoned pinto beans/refried beans, chips/salsa/guacamole & amazing juices, like watermelon & cucumber lime. True AUTHENTIC Mexican food. There is a small seating area inside, no outside seating, clean bathroom, plenty of parking in a small corner shopping center that has a delicious dessert shop & pie shop next to Gordos. Great food, tried the Cali burrito it was delicious. Love this spot the music inside makes you feel like you're in Mexico. Highly recommend this spot

The birth tacos are amazing, they are packed with authentic flavor (not just onion or garlic) you can tell it's made fresh with good ingredients and fresh cilantro. We also got the chicken tinga. The portions for both tacos were generous and full of meat for the price. The lady working at the front was very sweet and smiley, she made good recommendations and the food came out quick. Love how the place is decorated! We'll definitely be coming back when we visit Arizona again

Very tasty tacos! I loved the tortillas and how they were soft and crispy at same time.I thought the al pastor was their best taco. Carne Asada was very nice. I didn't love the steak taco, too much going on. The aioli was mayo heavy in flavor, which isn't my preference.The breakfast burrito was good. Nice blend of ingredients. Potatoes were a bit al dente but I did get it at like 2 in the afternoon. The churros were very good.Recommended taco spot if you're in the area.

Hole in the wall restaurant that serves really good tacos! No frill service but very friendly people. I would recommend their Quesa Birria tacos.

Anyone that rates this below 5 stars is NUTS. Great service, great ambiance, AMAZING food! 10/10 will be back!

The food here is exceptional! We come from Texas and we take our Mexican Food serious. This is some of the best I've had in the valley. We love everything on the menu, but their chips, salsa and guacamole are outstanding. They make their own chips. They don't bring them in from somewhere else like most restaurants here. Guacamole is made here fresh every day as well. My personal favorites are the Carne Asada and Al Pastor. Paulina is always here, and provides excellent service and attention to her customers. Since the food is made fresh, it takes a little bit of time. And it is worth every minute This has fast become my favorite go to most days of the week when I'm eating. Don't miss out!
