A cute place in Coupeville! I came here with some friends for a late lunch and early dinner. I was surprised because the menu actually had a linner section which as actually exactly what we were doing. The food was good! The butternut soup was so yummy and the tacos were good too! There were a couple things about the restaurant that confused me. They had a foam on the underside of all the tables which was odd. I kept accidentally touching it with my leg and it scared me. There was also some flies that just kept hovering around one table but not even attacking the food. Overall it was a decent experience.

On our most recent trip to Whidbey, I wanted to try a new restaurant and found Gordon's. I liked that they had outdoor patio seating as I had my dog with me and really appreciated it being dog friendly. We were there on a Saturday at about 3pm and were really looking forward to eating mussels. Unfortunately, our server told us they were all out of mussels amongst other things which surprised me as we were in Coupeville and it was still relatively early in the day. We actually stopped by another popular restaurant nearby an hour later to get mussels and they still had plenty. We ended up trying the jambalaya and soup of the day (thai curry chowder). The jambalaya was a huge portion with a good amount of seafood. They were nice enough to split it onto two plate for us! And the thai curry chowder was really tasty (I believe it had green curry paste) and something I hadn't tried before. I loved all the potato chunks and seafood in it.

This place is misleading. The restaurant front is unassuming and plain looking but don't let that fool you. The food creations happening here are stellar. I've been on vacation for 3 weeks now eating at a lot of restaurants across 6 states, and we had the BEST meal at Gordon's. Wow! If you haven't been then you're missing out. We had the mussel chowder which was their special and the steelhead, crab & shrimp vol-au-vent. The chowder was so thick and creamy. The flavour profile had a seafood heavy taste and lots of chunks. Highly recommend. The vol-au-vent blew my mind. Everything was cooked perfectly. So moist and flavourful. And the sauce! OMG. Orgasmic. Seriously. Why this place doesn't have 5 stars is unfathomable. I know they change their menu every 3 months (it's March 16) so u have till mid April to try the vol-au-vent dish. Gordon, you are obviously following your passion and it shows.

Gordon is one the most consistently original and creative chefs I have experienced. I love his Blueberry Hill restaurant and was glad to finally get a change to try his fusion restaurant. We picked up takeout because we had just done a long bike ride and needed to get back to family. They were great about taking the order over the phone and called us when it was ready. When I walked in to pick up it was completely modern and open inside (Blueberry Hill is a bit more classic/old school) - I can't wait to go there in person next time.We had the pakora; which held up crispy even after a half hour in the car and had an awesome sauce. Also tried a tandoori chicken wing which was huge and had great flavor and the same sauce as the pakora sauce - it was the tiniest bit fry though. We also had the salmon banh mi - the salmon was perfectly cooked and delicious and the toppings were amazing - I'm not sure I would call it a banh mi specifically but it was a great sandwich. And then we also had the butter chicken which was generously portioned and had good flavors, but our sauce separated a bit - was probably our fault for ordering takeout though. Creative and fresh - would definitely go again!

Giving 5 stars, though not perfect. Interesting and diverse menu. The edamome were wonderful. Great seasoning - definitely messy, but finger licking good. The tandoori wings were very crispy and nice. However, very hard to add the chutney and eat them together, and all the flavor was in the chutney. The accompanying slaw was crunchy and tasty. The teriyaki burger had great flavors but totally fell apart. Ended up eating the second half with a knife and fork. It was a real mess. The soup of the day was clam chowder, and it was fantastic. The bahn mi wasn't a bahn mi. But it tasted good. The bun almost stood up to the sauces and filling, and the pork belly was cubed and cooked really well. The thin, crunchy fries were fabulous! I would definitely go back, but I would mostly try new things.

We enjoyed this sweet seaside town on Whihbey Island...a cozy place to sit and enjoy the flowers and views. Outdoor patio dining and inside dining room. Innovative menu to satisfy a variety of tastes. I personally munched happily on the mango honey chicken wings...served with a nice slaw and dipping sauce. The chicken was oh so tender, nicely seasoned and filling. The Chardonnay was from WA and very ample serving. Our group had the grilled sando of the day (salmon) with waffle fries, chicken tenders (great portion) and popcorn shrimp! So happy with the prompt service and our lunch here today! Thanks Amber!

Gordon's on Blueberry Hill has been a longtime favorite of ours so when we chanced upon Gordon's Fusion Cuisine, we knew we wouldn't be disappointed. The location is great with it's own parking. The interiors are simple but trendy with an open kitchen (unlike Blueberry Hill). We came in to order lunch but didn't want a salad or sandwich. We wanted something from their dinner menu which after asking was accommodated by the chef. We ordered the Double cut Bone-in Bacon, Bourbon Caramel-glazed Pork Chop with Cheesy Hominy Grits and Seasonal Vegetables and the PNW Dungeness Crab and Seafood Boil (since we ordered it to-go, we didn't get the bib, crab cracker and sheet pan with newspaper). Both dishes were delicious and we would ordered these again! One thing we do love about chef Gordon, he is very accommodating and consistent with his food. Maybe next time, we will be dining in.

I stopped by here for linner with some friends around 4:20pm on a Sunday! We were seated right away but I thought the food took a bit long to come out (25-30 minutes). The interior was spacious and there was outdoor seating as well! I ordered the Big G Fusion Burger ($20) which was an 8oz brisket with cheese, tomato, and lettuce on a pretzel bun! I was starving before I came here, but only ended up eating half of the burger -- it was huge!!! I got fries on the side and I love mayo as a sauce and definitely try this because their mayo seems made in house and was so creamy and good! My friends also enjoyed their tacos a lot and had leftovers. Overall this restaurant is definitely good value and provides generous portions! However the food took a while and we noticed a swarm of flies circling the table in front of us.

Inside the restaurant was filled with smoke, easy to overlook as you read an enticing menu. We ordered and were served within a short time. Once the waitress dropped off our food we were never waited on again until my husband waved her down for the check. I ordered a gluten free bun which was half inedible as it was rock hard. My hamburger was nearly raw and I was never given a refill or even offered. With the cost of this meal I truly believe we could reasonably ask for better service. Very disappointed. Won't be back.
