The Gorditas here are soo good. We generally order to go, and they are ready within 15 minutes. There isn't a type that we haven't liked, but the go-tos are chicharrón and asada.

Gorditas is a gem! The quesadilla and steak gordita were flavorful and satisfying. My girlfriend loved the veggie options. The restaurant had lovely decorations for Valentine's Day and offers exceptional service! Will definitely be back.

Low key, casual gordita eatery. Their menu is just that and nothing else. Gorditas not like what you've eaten at that fast food chain, TB. Nor like some of the more "dense" versions sold at some local taquerias. Regionally, gorditas can differ in style but some taco shops don't put enough care in it's preparation nor frying. Many people enjoy them most when crispy. The gorditas here are soft & fine, sort of like a flour tortilla. I think this is because of how lean the dough shell is and for that, their menu prices are quite low. Due to that build, the prep time is low and an order can be serviced very quickly. What should wow is the way each protein is seasoned & prepared. As a meal I find them basic. Two to three gorditas can make a meal for an adult, one is good enough for small children. I wish they gave the option of adding additional ingredients to gorditas to make them more meal worthy. ie lettuce, diced tomatoes and onions or onions, cilantro and beans. I'm sure folks wouldn't mind an up-charge for this. If you've had a gordita at a taqueria and hated it, trust and try this. The spend is low, so it won't break the bank and you'll get to try something different that might jump onto your radar the next time you're wanting something different. Thumbing through photos online, the way some food items are prepared has changed. Still good but don't go basing thoughts solely on the photo presentation. Nice people running the shop, they are uber thankful for supporting local.

Gorditas Loli has me all Roli Poli. The Gorditas are delicious. They are made to order, so if it's crowded, it can take 20 minutes. The masa is not greasy, and the ingredients you choose are all fresh.I prefer crunchy/ more well done, but they cook them a little to short for my taste. CASH only, so bring your dolla bills.

This was my first time trying gorditas, and boy was I #blessed to have it here! The place is small and cozy, but really, you come in, choose your food (mostly Gordita options) eat and go. They make your Gordita fresh, so do anticipate a slight wait if you order more than 1. Don't worry, totally worth it! The 2 that I tried were my instant faves (so far)! Asientos (ground pork) and chicharron prensado en salsa roja (pork in red sauce) were soo good, my mouth waters kissy thinking about it. I know it sounds simple, especially the ground pork, but they place it on a bed of cheese etc. it really is more decadent than you can imagine. Each Gordita is $2.05 and they have ample vegetarian Gordita options as well. Quesadilla, burrito, and tacos are listed, but the bulk of their menu and what I urge you to order if you're here, are their specialty gorditas. Just a heads up, their burrito and tacos are miniature size! They're also cash only, but have an ATM in the back near the restrooms. They have horchata and other typical Mexican refreshments. Can't wait to try the rest!

Have to give credit to Dennis Lee and Chicago Magazine for introducing me to this gem. I like to seek out delicious Mexican food all throughout Chicago and surrounding suburbs, so I was expecting this place to be good but what I got was pure homemade greatness. Everything is made to order and made in-house, so be patient. The pork and beef are some of the best I've ever eaten. The red and green salsas are also delicious and made in house. It's now one of my new favorite places that will become a regular spot for me. Portions are small, so order 2-3 items, and try the different types of meat. They also have an ample vegetarian menu. Highly recommend this no frills, cash only, authentic little paradise.
