Good Omen Coffee Co

This was one of the hipper coffee shops I've visited in a while. We found good espresso combined with a comfortable, artfully-decorated space in a fantastic University Heights location. Parking is on the street in a popular neighborhood, so I expected to hunt for a space and walk a bit. Service was fast and friendly on the weekday we visited. There are cool local products and plants for sale. My son and I enjoyed browsing during the short wait for drinks. I ended up grabbing some handmade earrings from a local artist that my 10 year-old daughter absolutely loved. Overall, this a pretty strong stop on our San Diego 'tour of coffee'.

Staff was friendly. They have many different milk options and not just the standard three.They sell cute little plants and also have an artist corner where various people sell their crafts. I really loved the earrings! But the price was a little too much for me.They have lots of seating inside however almost all of it was taken when I went. Seems to be dog friendly as lots of dogs inside.Tried: I asked for both drinks to be half sweet. But it seems like they did not make them half sweet.Banana bread latte - This is a MUST. It was so good. One of the best banana bread lattes I've had. I would come back just for this.Honey cinnamon latte - This drink was not half sweet. It was really, really sweet. Like if they had made it double sweet. I should have asked them to remake it but they were very busy. I took it home and added two shots of espresso but it was still too sweet so I tossed it. Really disappointed.Parking: Tough. Circled around the block and through the back neighborhoods to find a spot and walked a few blocks to get there.Honestly this would have been a 4 star review if not for the undrinkable honey cinnamon latte.

Ok Coffee Ok Pastries Nothing extraordinary. I stopped in for a decaf latte and the foam/frothiness just wasnt up there with some of the other coffee houses in town. The latte TASTED like it was from one of those machines were you press a button and you get the latte. Maybe its the coffee? maybe the expresso machine? I dunnoThe place is filled with customers working/school/laptops. Totally cool if that's what you're doing. Kinda feels like you're at work if thats not what you are doing. The staff is ok. They didn't know where their pastries came from "somewhere in San Diego" she said. P.s. They sell plants inside the coffee shop. Some secculents that are displayed inside on a shelf and other house plants sitting on the floor, seems random and the plants uncared for. I wouldnt buy them.

Good selection of coffees and teas, and a great selection of food and pastries as well. Plenty of seating options indoors that are good for doing work. I also like that they have a little section selling plants and other small goods from local businesses.

This is a cool new coffee shop in University Heights on Park Blvd. I had a matcha latte with a touch of honey and their avocado toast with all the fixings. The avocado toast with all the bling was only $9, and the 12 oz matcha cost $5.The matcha latte, which I had hot, was certainly delicious and not overly sweet, but the touch of honey helped me to temper the bitterness. It was just grand. The avocado toast was really good, too, and came as two slices. I would have preferred a whole wheat toast, but sourdough will do with its good gut properties. The toast came handsomely layered with fresh avocado and thinly sliced tomatoes. The garnish of feta cheese and herb was just right. The you ladies at the counter were super friendly and had that down to earth personalities. They offer inside and outside seating. Street parking is what is available.

A good working cafe - lots of people with laptops, papers and books even on a Sunday afternoon. Lots of windows give it a bright and airy feel. The chai latte is tasty, and not overly sweet which can sometimes be the case. Mostly indoor seating with a few tables outside as well.

Good omen is in the spot that used to be Twiggs and I'm SO glad another local small business was able to take over. I stopped in on a Sunday early afternoon for a cup of coffee and tried their Banana Bread Latte (half sweet with oat milk). The latte was delicious and my barista made it perfectly with the right amount of sweetness. There is ample seating throughout and they even have a ton of beautiful plants for sale. They have pastries delivered daily from Split bakehouse, as well as donuts & bagels from Solomon Bagels. Will definitely be back to check them out again!

Great discovery visiting from Long Beach . Nicest place to get a coffee and a croissant. Really nice people and chilled atmosphere.

Very very cute and nice coffee spot in UH, which I never came here before. It is probably a new one. Their coffee is professional, it is flavorful. I had a decaf banana bread latte which is very yummy! The staff is friendly and patient. The space is clean and wide, very comfortable to work or study here. I'll definitely come back here to have coffees and work at here.

First time trying Good Omen Coffee as I met with some friends in the morning. I ended up getting a Banana Bread latte with oat milk and a breakfast sandwich. The inside was very spacious and was not too crowded. I was browsing the other food items and the vegan chocolate chip looked good but did not get it. The banana bread latte was pretty good as it was not too sweet. I would give it a solid 4/5. The breakfast sandwich tasted basic for me 2/5. I'll definitely return to try other coffee and food options.
