Goldilox Bagels

Goldilox gets 5 stars from me in all categories! Their bagels are delicious and have a great balance of soft inside and chew on the outside. They offer a good choice of flavors and always have a monthly special that's yummy as well! I often host brunches and Goldilox bagels are my go to when creating a brunch menu. The owners are wonderful people that go out of their way to support the community & give great customer service. We also haveI can't recommend them enough!

Online ordering and curbside pickup is super smooth.Coffee lacks flavor even with syrup, so I wouldn't get it again. But the bagels are good! I ordered jalapeño cheddar bagel with egg, cheese, and veggie CC. The bagel itself wasn't crispy, but rather dense and chewy (I don't mind that). Would order again!

Had a yummy custom bagel from Goldilox. I will say the bagels are pretty dense and chewy. Ordering online is a breeze, and pick-up is easy, too. Be sure to order ahead since they sometimes sell out!I went for the rosemary salt bagel with jalapeño cream cheese. The cream cheese was smooth and creamy, though I wished it had a bit more jalapeño kick

Saying in Medfort we lucky found Goldilox which was a quick walk from where we were staying. We knew it would be busy so we ordered online. I went with Just the right breakfast sandwich which is their version of the bacon, egg, and cheese bagel which I of course had to upgrade with adding cream cheese too. I got it on the specialty bagel that day which I believe was Tomato Basil, with bacon, eggs, American Cheese, and added Chive Cream Cheese. We placed the order and walked over. once arrived our food was almost ready. They don't really have seating since the place is so small. For sure a grab and go place. Since we were heading to Salem we just ate at the bridge down the street as we waited for our Uber. The bagel was great and very fresh. They also made sure it had plenty of that Chive Cream Cheese which I believe they are making in house. The reason for the 4 stars and not 5 was due to the bacon. There was very little of it on the sandwich and it was also that thin precooked microwave bacon. You gotta get something thicker especially when you are making breakfast sandwiches that size. You wouldn't even know it's there. If you are staying in Medfort though this is for sure the place to pick up breakfast.

If you're hungry during breakfast, this will fill you up. Is it a bagel? No distinct substantial crust or toasty just-baked flavor, but it IS dense, almost too dense. The lox sandwich (10.50) mostly had some sad tomatoes (out of season) as toppings, with minimal lox, and quite salty cream cheese.The online ordering system is smooth.

I gotta say, Goldilox bagels totally rocked my morning! The rosemary salt bagel with cinnamon sugar cream cheese spread and strawberry jam was like a flavor explosion in my mouth - seriously, it was AMAZING! And shoutout to their curbside service - lightning fast and super easy. I just texted that number on the sign by the curbside spot, and boom, they had my bagel ready and brought it out pronto.Only downside? I wish they were open more days, 'cause I'd be there every morning if I could!

Goldilox is pretty good but sadly, I still haven't come across anything that remotely approaches the NYC gold standard. Take a gander at my photo. See that tiny smidge of cream cheese in the eye of the bagel? That should be a giant honking globule, the kind you poke out with your finger and stuff in your mouth the first thing when you unwrap it. Boston, you are absolutely WEAK when it comes to bagels. There, I said it. That said, the bagel at Goldilox was solid, good amount of chew, though pretty doughy and a touch too sweet. The Ready to Lox bagel gives you tomato, onion, capers, lox, CC, bagel for around $10, which isn't bad. Best part of the bagel was the garden veggie cream cheese; I'm not a huge CC person but I'd eat that with a spoon on its own. They recommend pre-ordering which threw me off a little when I went there to order in person. Not to keep harping on the NYC comparisons but I do miss just walking inside a bagel place and picking out a bagel. The hours are Friday and weekend mornings only: I suppose they've figured out their most profitable times (and, hey, good on them for being able to work a reduced work week) but the hours are baffling for my own selfish reasons. Like, what if I want a bagel at 2pm on a Tuesday?? This just speaks to the total lack of competition for good bagels. Or it's a remnant from COVID times. One last note: It's tiny inside so definitely a grab and go space. Street parking available.

The major disappointment is that I didn't try Golidlox Bagels sooner!!!I eat a bagel every single day and it's important that they freeze well! Some bagels are AMAZING fresh and hot, but have a weird texture when frozen and popped in the toaster. I'm constantly on the hunt for dense, delicious bagels that fit the bill. Well - almost 5 years later, it's Goldilox.Their flavors / toppings are jam packed - the poppyseed has seeds on top and bottom, the everything is covered 100% throughout the bagel (and no fennel seeds yay!), the sesame is rolled in seeds. No skimping on toppings here!!! They're so great fresh, but PERFECT frozen + later toasted. I am so grateful that I found them!!! EVERYONE GO TO GOLDILOX!!!!

Such a great place to grab a bagel with cream cheese or hummus, or have an egg and cheese. Service is exceptional and they have a steady stream of customers for the time they are open. It's run exceptionally well, with a well tuned way of expediting orders. And, their coffee is good too. One of the best parts too is that they donate money to a local organization each week, which is such a phenomenal way to give back to their community. Cheers to a local spot with heart!

I've been searching for a great bagel in the Boston area and this just might be it! I got an everything bagel with veggie cream cheese and lox with an iced coffee, and tried the sesame bagel with Bear Butter. The bagels are to die for- perfectly soft and chewy with great cream cheese. The bear butter was enjoyable, but I wouldn't get it every time. Their iced coffee was also delicious, which is rare for a bagel place. I would order ahead as the store itself is very small, but the service was outstanding. Can't wait to go back!
