Golden Spoon La Mesa

If you live or drive past La Mesa, don't forget to stop by. The frozen yogurt here is sooo good! It is addicting. I tried the strawberry shortcake with mochi and popping boba, which they put in the middle. It's so good and has the right amount of sweetness. The service is amazing!! They are friendly and let you try some flavors. The place is quiet with seating inside and out. We opted for outdoor seating because of our doggo and also the nice breeze. 10/10 will come back to get more of the strawberry shortcake. The flavors do rotate, so get in before they change.

Not all Golden Spoon's are created equal and this particular location is not up to par. I ordered a mini with two flavors and instead of the employee putting them in the cup next to each other she put one on the bottom and the other on the top. I realized after she gave it to me that she did this because the ice cream was not firm enough to stand up on its own in the cup. It would have been nice if her to communicate to me that my choice was not quite ready to be served and given me the option to change flavors instead of just putting melted ice cream in the bottom of my cup and semi melted ice cream on top of it. The picture I've included shows my ice cream before I even had a chance to take a bite. I walked to my car and took the photo--melted. I've had great experiences at other Golden Spoons, but unfortunately this one wasn't good.

I decided to give this place another try yesterday since I was in the area and craving soft serve, and I had to update my review to say they won me over lol. Their chocolate is honestly really good! Chocolate is always reliable for me, so I'm glad I went for that instead of toasted marshmallow this time. I will say that their oreo cookies are definitely a knockoff brand, so getting a bite of them mostly on their own isn't the best, but when you mix your toppings into the ice cream it's pretty yummy! I enjoyed it so much yesterday actually that I came back today for the same thing in a bigger size. The ladies working the front have been very nice both times :) I love to sit outside under the shade in their tables out front. Ice cream and shade with some trendy music coming from inside makes for a relaxing summer experience. Glad I gave them another try.

I got the cappuccino flavor. You can add toppings but if you just want a little ice cream- get the mini. They are generous with their soft serve style frozen yogurt.

The hubby and I had no idea Golden Spoon was in our backyard until we drove by it one night. We were thrilled knowing it's a quick drive away to indulge in a cup of sweet delicious frozen yogurt. There was a line out the door when we arrived, so we knew this location had to be good. The employees could not have been any nicer, we're very cheerful and bubbly. My husband ordered a cup with strawberry shortcake on one side and banana cream pie on the other. Both were mellow flavors that reminded us of our childhood. I ordered a cup of raspberry and made my husband jealous because it was delicious, tangy, and tasted so good. The serving sizes are very generous and they have a wide selection of toppings to choose from. They have rotating flavors along with their standard classics. They also serve shakes, sundaes, and acai bowls.

My favorite froyo spot in La Mesa! Mini portion size is perfect for me, flavors are spot on (vanilla bean is the best) and service is always great. I just tried the cookies - OMG - so good!!! My husband and I like to go at least once a week.

I was very impressed with this place. I got the acai bowl and my husband and daughter got one of their frozen yogurts. My husband's was a specialty one and my daighters was the basic fruit flavor. We all loved it and my husband and daughter have since been back and brought me home an acai bowl.

After wanting to try this spot forever, I finally came by with my husband! We both got chocolate, he got cookies & cream and I got peanut butter too. Everything was delicious! Portions were very generous too! The girl who helped us was very nice also! Cant wait to come back with my kiddo.

My man loves this place. Some froyo spots leave you with a weird sugar hangover, but not this spot. They have a good options from sugar free to a wide flavor range. It's clean inside and everyone is helpful .
