I've been here several times and am very pleased with the food and service. It's a very good Chinese restaurant. Plenty of parking

Great lunch menu under $9 pre tax+tip! Can't find this in Seattle at all. The lunch menu runs all week and it includes entree with fried rice and soup.

We are so glad that Golden House Chinese Cuisine is apart of our community. We love to order the crab rangoon, pork fried rice, orange chicken & egg rolls. They make the crab dumplings by hand and they're delicious. The family that runs this restaurant is so friendly and kind. They remember their regulars by name and are always welcoming. It gets busy with delivery orders but as long as you have that expectation it's definitely worth it. I think it's important to support family run businesses like Golden House Chinese. We picked up dinner the other night and there was a large table of a family of 10+ people. They were very loud, fighting with each other and beyond rude to the staff. One of the guests was upset that he had to pack up the leftovers and yelled "Why should I do that...I'm not a woman" and then proceeded to argue about paying the bill. I'm sorry that that happened and I'm sorry that I didn't intervene but hopefully writing this positive review will encourage kinder people to dine at Golden House and try some of their yummy dishes!

Friday evening and didn't feel like cooking. What's better than a good shrimp fried rice I thought to myself. I order 2shrimp fried rice and a chicken fried rice as well. Also I had egg rolls and orange chicken. The shrimp fried rice was ok but the sight of shrimp with the vein still in made me pretty full rather quickly! Also the shrimp are very small and possibly could've been cooked a tad longer. The egg rolls were pretty much spring rolls, only stuffed with cabbage. The orange chicken was surprisingly cold for an order I called in and had to wait 40mins to pick up. The price for my meal was $75 kind of expensive for what I got

Worst Chinese food that I ate in my life. The chowmein does not have any taste at all and the msin dish is breaded so thick. Yukkk! My aunt cooks better than that.

Golden House has been serving solid Americanized style Chinese food in Mukilteo for over 20 years and is easily the best such restaurant in the area. Owner Charlie and family have perfected the system of churning out quick and tasty versions of all the greatest hits: Mongolian Beef, Lemon Chicken, Mushu Pork--you get the idea. But GH also serves a few unexpected delights, like the House Special Crispy Cake Noodles, which is my go-to dish here (served with shrimp, pork, beef and bok choy). Recently, it has been too oily/saucy, but in the past, it has held its own against some of the versions I've had in Cantonese-style restaurants. I will note that GH seems to do most of its business through takeout. Part of that reason is likely due to the icky condition of the restaurant itself, which looks rundown, dingy, and not particularly clean. I would recommend avoiding the bathrooms altogether until the owners perform a thorough renovation. Unfortunately, the subpar ambience distracts from the dining experience overall, resulting in one less star. But still recommended for the food. 3.25 stars).

I love Golden House! Being a Muk native, we used to always come here for the pork fried rice and chow down after school. Not much has changed - this place is family owned and the food has stayed consistent since I've been coming here for over 15 years. The staff phone service is excellent and they always get my order right! The Crab Rangoon is phenomenal. The wrap is thin - which I haven't been able to find ANYWHERE. They are seriously amazing - with the thin paper and amount of filling is something I crave. I usually hop in the car and eat a few before I even leave the parking lot, lol. We've been regularly getting the Sautéed Cashew Chicken and it is currently my favorite dish paired with bbq pork fried rice, yummy wonton soup and of course the Rangoons. Phew. I just ate here the other day but now I'm craving!

I drive by this place fairly often and was finally able to try it out. Located on a busy stretch, this small white building is easy to miss. There is a good amount of parking in the back lot and the inside has a great old school Chinese restaurant vibe with the red leather like booths and dragon art. The service was a little slow but the place was jumping with take out and delivery orders, so it makes sense. When we first arrived, we were offered a pot of tea, which was delicious. We ordered the egg rolls, a small seafood soup, shrimp egg foo young and garlic prawns. The food was outstanding. Fat prawns and loads of veggies in the garlic prawn dish.I would have been happy with more garlic in the dish, but I also think there is never enough garlic in anything. The dish was flavourful without overpowering. Four large pieces of egg foo young packed with shrimp and veggies arrived on a platter covered in a delicious, thick gravy. I haven't had egg foo young this good since I moved here from Chicago. The egg rolls were crisp and fresh, but they were more like spring rolls than egg rolls, small and full of cabbage. My son loved the seafood soup, I found it to be a little meh. It wasn't bad, just not what I was expecting. Everything was steaming hot when it arrived. A very delicious meal at a reasonable price. The only negative is I could never tell if the dishes were dirty or worn. The teapot looked like it had seen better days, and the plates might have been dirty or maybe they were worn out. I couldn't tell, but it obviously wasn't so bad I didn't eat my food. I did wonder about it while I was waiting for our food, but once I saw how delicious the food looked, I guess I pushed my concerns aside. I suggest giving this place a try. Good prices, solid food and great portions.

Golden House has decent cantonese style Chinese. I usually do takeout. It can be very busy, especially at peak times. As far as eating in the restaurant is not very big. Maybe 10 tables. Guessing? I order the same few things for the most part. There Seems to be a bit of " creative charging" depending on the person at the register. My biggest complaint is the place is not clean. While I wait for my food I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like.

I stand by my review of this being a wonderful neighborhood Chinese restaurant. It's pretty much what the older folks and such like In that area. I resemble that remark only I pass through there desiring my Chinese food fix often in a hurry for work or racing to catch a ferry to Whidbey. Such a great owner that knows me and my order and good staff. But this staff is small and when the busy times hit it's VERY backed up for both dine in and take out. It's not unusual to be 30 plus minutes out for a take out order. I've learned my lesson not to call them to pick up at the last minute.I think the owner has to replace his chef during breaks or busy times? But I would generally always support him. Just wish it was more easy to call in an order when in a rush or get table service in the same situation.
