Right next to Bambu is a nice little Chinese grocery that has a good array of dry goods. Don't get me wrong, I love, love, LOVE Uwajimaya, but sometimes it can be a little pricey to shop there. We like to come here, Dong Sing on Maynard and Jackson, Lam's on King and 12th, and Viet Wah on Jackson to save some money on groceries. Here are a few things that can be found here that are cheaper than they are at Uwajimaya:-Koda Farms Mochiko-Spam (I recently bought a $4-something can from Uwajimaya, only to find it here for $2.99!)-Chinese Good Luck Candy (the ones in the shiny red wrapper)--They also carry macaroni (which I rarely see at Uwaj), one type of American wine, two-or-three types of cheap beer, and beans sold by the pound. The fruit selection is meh, so I would go to Uwajimaya or Lam's for that. All in all, a decent place to pick up basic Asian (mostly Chinese) ingredients!

first time shopper here, bad experience. Good selection of items and prices are good. Bought five packs of snacks but found one is missing from bag after returning home. So I checked my receipt, the missing item was on the receipt. And they charged 3.99 for one thing that clear tagged at $2.99. Don't feel they are honest. Won't come back and no I will not recommend to my friends

Interesting! They have these stiff gems of brooms for only $2.50. They sweep so well for being old-skool tech. Didn't need any this time, but in case you want some...
