Golden Griddle Pancake House

Great soup and creative and old school style sandwiches. I truly enjoyed the San Francisco Delight sandwich!! The service is great and the manager/owner is extremely personable and has a great sense of humor. Also you can't beat the breakfast! The portions are more than adequate, so when you go there be HUNGRY!The ambiance is very electric and busy!

My husband and I have been going to Golden Griddle for over 15 years. It's a nice place to go for brunch before running weekend errands, which is generally when we go; right before shopping at the nearby Target or Sam's Club. As soon as you arrive, the waitresses offer coffee, water, or juice. It's a pretty big menu, but generally I get the omelette or skillet with a side of pancakes or a Belgian waffle. I wish I could make my waffles at home as good as the restaurants. :-) The ambiance is a mix crowd of locals, mostly from Evergreen Park, Oak Lawn, or Chicago. The owner is usually on site, and seems to generally watch over everything and says hello. The portion sizes are big, so be ready take some home and have a nice breakfast the next day!

I have never been to this restaurant and was in the city visiting and found this hidden but right out front gem.. I actually know one the owners and was so super happy to see her after over at least 10 years. It's on 95th street east of Kedzie in Evergreen Park. There is free parking in the lot and in front. The food was good.. I didn't really care for the taste of the syrup but my date said it was good to him. I had pancakes, eggs over medium and grits. He had a strawberry waffle which was really good, grits and eggs fried hard. He said that coffee was really good and fresh, didn't have the burnt taste. He had about 6 small cups with Irish Crème Creamer. I did taste it and it was actually good.. The Irish Crème creamer was like toffee to me. Our waitress was funny and very hospitable. They had a lot of customers sitting in and taking out. Also I could tell they have regulars. They had a group in the back celebrating a birthday. It's not modern but they provided cleanliness, even in the restroom, quality food and excellent service!! ENJOY!

Would have been ZERO STARS if there was such a category. I really have to say, I'm quite disappointed in this place. Normally my food is great. Yesterday's experience has left me deciding to never go here again. I placed an order, something was sour, it spoiled my whole appetite $30 paid with a tip and left the entire breakfast there. The owner who's normally up front greeting everyone was no where to be found. Well they've lost my business, never again. just called tried to speak to the owner, he told me not to call bothering him and hung up on me. Wow go figure the same guy who's told my husband & I all his issues and problems with his family, smh.

It's a dive and a decent amount of food for the price. Laid back atmosphere and the people who work here are really nice.

One of the best breakfast spots with that old diner feel. They a little cheap with the drink refills but otherwise they are good. I'll be back even more once that new dealership opens up across the street and I need an oil change.

This would've been five stars if it wasn't for the owner making the servers cry. The food is very good, and this place used to be one of our go to, but the owner makes the ambiance horrible with all the bad energy If it wasn't for him, not treating his people, write, this place would be a great place and I would love to come back at that time, but it definitely needs new management

The food and the service were excellent but he needs to replace the rug it is beyond filthy.

This was my first time going and I arrived at 1:45. They were clearly ready to go as I was finishing my coffee at 2:30 even though they close at 3. The waitress seemed to hurry us and was refilling things from our table as we ate. The chicken noodle soup was very good. The chicken breast needed seasoning and I couldn't put ketchup on my fries because it was a cheap, nasty brand. The lights were off and they were vacuuming while we finished. I probably won't be back. It looked pretty outdated too.

Breakfast was awesome skillet is a must try the meals were a little pricey but over all it was a pretty good quality of food!!
