Golden Bagel

This review is based off my experience with their bagels and schmear on a To go order. My coworker brought a whole bag of bagels for all of us and I grabbed I think it was an everything bagel. I toasted it and I paired with the chive schmear and butter....OMG ! That bagel was literally the best bagel I've ever had. I'm probably the harshest critic when it comes to bagels and schmear and it impressed me. I would rate 10/10. The whole office smelled so delicious too!I'm dreaming of their bagels now and need to go to sleep. lol ! I will drive the 40 min to get this bagel

More like 3.5 but for San Diego standards, it's a good bagel. I prefer just grabbing bagels and schmear to take home because their kitchen is quite slow.It's a small business so I'm happy to support. But my bagel quest continues...

It just amazes me how this place stays open and busy....well maybe b/c it's the only bagel shop in PQ.The ladies that work in here, don't tie their hair up. I've never seen them wash their hands. They walk out to their cars (that are parked in the prime spots right in front of the store), then come back in and serve the customers....never see them wear gloves...just makes me wonder....Today I just walked in while I waited for a drink next door at Starbucks b/c a friend of mine and I kept going back and forth about the muffins that are sold here...we both said they look identical to the ones from COSTCO...and YUP...THEY SURE ARE!!!!So people, save yourself some money and go buy yourself 6 of them for the price of one....wonder if they buy anything else at Costco and resell it there and say they make em'

Every time I'm in town I stop here for breakfast. Their bagels are delicious, warm and reasonably priced. I had the Golden breakfast bagel with bacon. Really good and they slice it in half ! I wish I had ordered the bagel toasted. The shop is conveniently located next to a chain coffee shop.

Always busy on a Saturday bring patience, Sunday is okay. It's worth the wait. Kind and friendly and surprising they don't turn around the TIP screen. Tips are earned not demanded. Kudos to this place they deserve a good review, tip and your business!!

Cool little bagel shop but, not the best. We stopped by here for the first time, Saturday around 9 am. It was packed! We stood in line for 10 minutes ordered and waited another 20 for 2 Golden Scrambles. I am not so concerned about the wait because I'm sure it was peak time for bagel eating but they did seem a little unorganized behind the counter. Just a thought not a certainty.The customer service was good. They got the order right and ordering was pretty easy. We didn't get the bagels we wanted but they let us know they were in the oven and would be 10 more minutes. That was nice to let us know.The bagel sandwich wasn't that good. It was like a bagel sandwich from 7 eleven or McDonalds or whoever offers an egg/cheese bagel. It seems like they just microwaved the entire thing. The bacon was thin and tasteless like Mc Donald's, the eggs were a thick, formed chunk, barely any cheese and it tasted like sliced Kraft cheese and the bagel was soft and plain. I was not impressed. The price was ok for what we got. I would rather pay a little more for better ingredients and toasted bagel. I may be back to try a cream cheese bagel and see how that goes.

Simply put, some of the best tasting bagels I've had in San Diego. If you live by the store consider yourself lucky.

Still the best bagel shop around. I almost always get the golden scramble. I bet if I branched out it would all be Amazing though! Service can take some time dude to staffing, but is always friendly!!Ambiance is causal and relaxed. Love this little gem!!

Really don't understand what the hype about this place is. The place was packed with a line out the door at 10:30am on Wednesday. Took about 25 mins for 2 bagel sandwiches. Didn't care about the wait at all as the place is supposed to be the best around. Got my sandwich and was an un toasted bagel with one strip of bacon and an egg patty with a tiny bit of cheese in it. I could've assembled that for 2$ at home and not had to wait. I was expecting a great breakfast sandwich from this place and got the most mid quality thing you would expect. If this was like McDonald's or a fast food place I would've been whatever not bad but with a line like that you better be good.

Not good at all. Wash your hands before handling my bagels with your bare hands!!! Yuck!
