Why to come here: - good breakfast food with big portions - fair prices- outdoor seating that allows dogs - pretty easy to get a table, especially if you go around dinner - easy street parking Most recently, I had the corned beef hash which was very good. It came with eggs and pancakes.

Came by with a friend after leaving a bar that was close by. Extremely pleased that it's 2024 and a 24 hour diner exists! Ordered a bloody Mary, steak skillet. Had the option of choosing toast or pancakes and chose pancakes. Finished the pancakes.. Couldn't finish the steak skillet in restaurant so definitely took it home. Menu selection has lots of variety just like a diner should!!

It's a diner with outdoor seating on Wellington across six corners with fair prices and a menu that basically has everything. I mean what more can you ask for?We had the chicken kabob, Monte Cristo, liver and onions. These are mostly classic diner items and I have no complaints. The plate portions are huge! Prices are fair. What's not to like. I think they're open late, if not 24/7. P.S the side cream of chicken soup was a standout

The Golden Apple is an okay spot, more so for breakfast foods than anything else. A major plus is the menu being your typical American fare and the restaurant is open 24hrs. I've eaten here about 4 or 5 times. It gets the job done. My kids love breakfast foods so that's why I've been here as many times as I have. The service is always quick and friendly. The restaurant is a nice size with a nice amount of booths, tables, counter seating and they have outside seating as well. They have sports on the tv's. I like that added touch. The food is just okay. It's not the best you'll ever have but it's not the worse either. The corned beef hash is my favorite. It's really tasty. There is street parking on both sides of the restaurant which is a bonus because their "parking lot" is literally 3 or 4 spots in the back by the garbage cans.

The good thing is it is open 24 hours and if you not looking to end up in a Dennys this is a good option. Food came fast, service was "available" The food quality was a little bit on the "open a bag for sauces, a can for fruits, and quick grilling items" side.The Massive menu though. Like a shockingly large menu. Which always says not everything in there can be good. But in the end, it made us not leave hungry since the portions were good. My question always is would I come back - and the answer is maybe - or more likely if there are no other options? It's more of a no for me, but I know that there are a lot of people who like this style of food and the way they prepare it. So in the end, if it's late at night and you are hungry give it a try and make up your mind!- one star gone for the mediocre food quality and one goes away since the service is just there, hard to understand sometimes, and did not know their (way to big of a menu) - two questions we had and twice the waiter needed to ask the manager (one question are your Milkshakes made with fresh fruit)

The owner is such a sweet guy and is always managing the breakfast rush like a pro!! We always pick up from there and never a wrong thing in the bag. And always has my syrup and butter in the bag!! Food is delish and the portions are huge!!

First time at this Chicago institution. This is a quintessential 24/7 dinner with an extensive menu, Old School vibes, and a friendly staff. I'm new to Chicago and still searching for a good breakfast burrito that reminds me of Southern California. So, I tried the breakfast burrito here and it was just ok. The portion size is good and I like that it came with rice on the side along with salsa and sour cream. The burrito is filled with fluffy eggs, seasoned taco meat, onions, peppers, tomatoes, and refried beans. The refried beans are excellent and paired nicely with the ground beef. The large chunks of green bell pepper were a turn off and were overwhelming in terms it flavor and size. While I wouldn't order this item again, I would absolutely return here and order something different. Overall, it was a good experience and the breakfast burrito search continues!

Definitely gets the job done if you're looking for your basic breakfast overall. We got seated quickly for two people and they have menus on the table along with all your condiments right away. The server was prompt when we placed our order but the food itself in the kitchen took at least 25 minutes. The food came out hot, but the overall flavor of my country style steak breakfast was just okay. It was about $40 including tip and tax.
