Came here with our two kids going from Legoland to the SD Zoo. We absolutely loved it. Had the Challah French Toast, loaded latkes, matzoh ball soap, and matzoh-quilts.All totally delicious and the office park setting was kind of awesome. You pass some conference rooms and a consulting firm and it just seems like such a fun quirky setting but very pretty and gorgeous interior and patio.Fantastic Jewish food and they even had Dr Browns!

I was so excited to try the beet and stone fruit salad, it was $12.00. I placed my order online, got a message it was ready and went to pick it up....but they didnt have that salad. They let me pick from two other prepackaged salad options, marked with $10.50 as the price. I was in a hurry so I didn't ask for a refund of the difference, but the server said these options were more expensive than what I ordered so I was getting a good deal....maybe the marked price was their purchase price. The replacement salad I chose was an apple crunch, and wasn't on their menu. It was amazing. Diced apples, cheese, raisens, and some sweet crunchy type of granola. I also ordered a lemon lavender shortbread cookie. It was huge! Amd had a wonderful lemon flavor, and a very very slight lavender fragrance. I think I'll try them again, but I won't order online. Knowing that not all options show up online, and that they will accept an order for items out of stock, I would recommend going in person.

Sleek, modern Jewish delicatessen located in an office park filled with glass high-rises, and it totally works! It's casual in that you order at the counter and take a number, but service is unexpectedly attentive once seated - place settings appear quickly, along with a water carafe, and then of course your nom-noms.I felt quite virtuous ordering a healthy kale salad, but the menu description and website photos seemed to suggest a more substantial amount of toppings than what I actually received. :( I enviously side-eyed my dining companion's brisket French dip until he took pity on me and shared - now that bad boy was fire! Loved the accompanying warm crushed potato as well. Pro tip: dip *everything* in that delicious jus!

Food:Solid 4-star food option in a business park, that I could visit again.I tried the pastrami sandwich, potato salad (rather than garden salad or crushed potatoes), and cold brew with salted maple syrup.Pastrami sandwich - big portion (hence $20+), the bread had a nice fluffy yet bite to it, the freshness from the cucumber and right amount of horseradish balanced the fatty and smoky meat, and the aesthetic of the plating shows great attention to detail in crafting the sandwich. Only concern is the pastrami is reheated which dried out the meat.Sides - the pickle was surprising, not your typical sour or sweet flavor and not your typical crunchy one either; quality potato salad, that i might've liked more than the sandwich even, as it was fresh and tender and spiced well.Drink - I like the Dark Horse brand of coffee and they made it well, however I did not taste the salted maple; was it forgotten during crafting the drink?Service:Ronny (excuse the spelling) was just the most friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Despite cafe vibes, he checked up on all the people eating in, while manning the register and even making beverages. He also brought the modern to the tradition of this type of food. Food came out pretty quick and looked great! A place to try if you work in the area or happen to be in the area, as they are only open breakfast and lunch hours.Atmosphere:Simple and clean aesthetic to the interior. They also have outdoor dining, where I saw a cute frenchie lounging. There is a large stand of snacks and goods to be purchased that I thought was obstructive and took away from the spaciousness. For a Sunday morning in a business park, there was quite some customers enjoying the food, mainly couples and full families as well.

The businesses and golfers in this area are SO lucky to be in close proximity to such a delicious modern Jewish deli. Parking in this business park area is easy and the restaurant has counter ordering with both indoor and outdoor seating options. It's super cute and chic and perfect for a group brunch or a business lunch. The real star of the show though is the food. Wow! The food was so flavorful and absolutely delicious. It was compelling enough to make me want to drive all the way back to eat it. They have some classics but are really taking a modern spin on things. For example, I enjoyed matzo-quiles. Think: chilaquiles, but with matzo crackers instead of tortilla chips. The spices and flavors used were absolutely fantastic. I also indulged in a delicious potato knisch and chocolate babka. Yum! Husband got the BLAT and it was also packed full with delicious flavors. The food here is incredible and with such limited Jewish deli options, this place really levels it up with such interesting and unique options.

Came here as part of a Yelp Elite event and so glad I discovered the place! A real hidden gem.Such a pretty aesthetic vibe, nice open space with lots of lighting and outdoor seating as well.I took food to go but while I was there I saw the portion sizes on the food they were bringing out to other people and everything was massive!Such giant sandwiches with so much filling inside. Almost too good to be true.We got the Loaded Latke with Poached Egg on top and it was just beautiful! I have no words.Latke itself was so flavorful on its own, and then the labneh and broccoli rabe and pickled onions on top were really really nice together. Everything was needed and everything was in the right amount. (Asked for no mushrooms and extra broccoli rabe instead)Realized that the menu had said caramelized onions, but we got pickled onions instead. I wonder how the caramelized would be. Definitely need to go check it out next time.

Gold Finch is a super cool modern Jewish Delicatessen is a super cool science park area in Torrey Pines. It's in an office building but there is really easy parking in back or on the street. Gold Finch does every thing to perfection, latkes, brisket, Reubens and so much more. All the classics, elevated and with a modern sensibility.I had them make me a turkey Reuben. It was beyond. Just incredible and the potato salad is divine. They even have a little shop with kitchen goods, books, etc. They also have tons of bakery on display. Just gorgeous.Gold Finch is a unique, unexpected, hidden gem. Make the effort to go often. You will be blown away.

What an adorable and trendy breakfast/lunch spot! I came here for a study session prior to finals week and what a great spot to work. Lots of open seating both inside and outside. Free underground parking and a super clean bathroom attached to the office building the restaurant is in. Service was very attentive and kind. Food was great! No complaints and I will definitely be back to try the latkes because they looked amazing

Gold Finch is a hidden gem, hidden amongst business buildings. It's a very charming spot - I love their fresh and modern decor. The food was delicious and unique - I've never seen a Jewish fusion restaurant in San Diego. I got a matcha latte, which was great. I also got the Loaded Giant Latke. It was extremely filling, unique, and flavorful. They had so many other interesting things on their menu I'm dying to come back and try. I recommend coming here for breakfast and then hopping over to the Torrey Pine hiking trails for a lovely day.

Was invited here for yelp elite week! The food here is a bit different from other places I've tried in SD and my first time at a Jewish restaurant. The first thing we tried was the giant loaded latke, which was a savory pancake. We got a fried egg on top, would recommend over easy or sunny-side up to get that runny yolk! The portion size is big enough for two to share easily. We also got the strawberry blintz, which were supposed to be rolled up crepes with ricotta inside. However ours had no ricotta, and came out a bit raw on the inside. However the staff were apologetic and let us trade it out for the torn challah French toast. This is definitely a must! The breast was soft and spongy, and came with a lemon curd creme which was tangy to complement the sweet maple syrup! The inside is decorated very modern and cute. It's tucked away in a tech business park, but we had no problem finding parking!
