A real find. These folks are still a little overwhelmed but they try hard and put out some of the most interesting and tasty food in town. We ordered the handpies, kelewele and peanut, branzino, waakye and potato greens with chicken. They were all delicious but the waakye was a standout. Maybe the best dish we've eaten in the past year. It's a dry beef dish with spaghetti! Go when you have time to savor.

Spent an enjoyable evening with friends trying something new. The restaurant is in a small open and well lit space. It was a little chilly so I was happy to have a coat! We shared the plantain and chicken wing appetizers both of which were delicious. I had the chicken with potato greens which was the perfect size and quite flavorful. The others shared the Waakye which was a little bit of everything. Service was attentive even though there was only one server.

Gold Coast Ghal Kitchen offers a delightful dining experience with a warm and inviting ambiance. The goat peanut soup with fufu was a flavor-packed delight, showcasing a blend of spices, I am Filipino and it honestly reminded me of Kare Kare which is also a peanut meat stew. The waakye was equally impressive, with distinct and authentic taste. The meat pies and the veggie pies were fantastic and packed with flavor, The drinks complemented the meal flawlessly, enhancing the overall dining experience. Impeccable service and flavorful dishes make Gold Coast Ghal Kitchen a must-try for those seeking an authentic and enjoyable culinary adventure.

I deeply regret it ordering food from this place. I ordered the suya short rib jollof rice which cost about $25. For the portion size and quality of the food, the price is atrocious. I ordered a pick up order so I left right away; the moment I got home and opened the food I was immediately disappointed cause it looked like leftovers. I was still optimistic and tried to eat the food. All the meat slices I got were burnt (as in charred), the rice tasted burnt and stale as well. For food I just received, I was confused as to why everything was cold and stale. It's a nice spot but not worth your money, a bit overpriced and terrible quality.

Just stopped by the new Gold Coast Ghal in Seattle and wow, what a gem! This Ghanian/Libyan spot is serving up some seriously tasty dishes. The goat peanut soup is a must-try - it's rich, flavorful, and just the right kind of hearty. Their jollof rice? Spot on with perfect seasoning. Plus, the vibe is cozy and welcoming, making it a great place to share a meal with friends. Can't wait to go back and try more of their menu!

Came on a Friday night around 6 - couple tables sat, cute interior. It was a little cold inside, but jackets helped. we tried the goat peanut soup - added the fufu, the branzino, jollof, and got the kube cocktail! For two people, we know we ordered too much, but we had to get the weekend special jollof! All had amazing flavor and was cooked great. Our favorite was the goat peanut soup w the fufu and our second was the jollof. Branzino was yummy, as well and had a kick to it! Can't wait to come back!

One of the best meals I've had in years...While Seattle has its restaurants we are all too familiar with, I love that it also can support local, authentic restaurants like Gold Coast Kitchen offering traditional West African Cuisine that will transport you with every bite.Starting with their Cocktails, you will not forget or regret ordering any of them. So much thought (but not too much thought) was put into making them well balanced while unique and special to the restaurant itself. The dinner menu doesn't overwhelm you with a hundred dishes, instead it simplifies your night and makes you want to order one of everything, which isn't the worst idea.We ordered the Plantains, Potato Greens with Fish, and Goat Peanut Soup with Fufu. Everything was spectacular, especially the Goat Peanut Soup which opened up all avenues of my taste buds. The aesthetic of the restaurant is bright, simple, thoughtful, and welcoming. Staff was there whenever you needed them and no request was ever slept on.Overall, so thankful to have this as a new go-to spot to impress my friends with and can't wait to come back and try all of the other dishes on their menu!

Starting off, the service was great. We were promptly greeted and seated, and our server was actually the chef of the restaurant! I recognized her from her Seattle Times article, and it was very cool to chat a bit with her. I admit, I was slightly starstruck. Food was a real treat. Lots of creative dishes that were definitely off the beaten path of the usual Seattle trends that lean toward Asian cuisine, and all the better for it. We had ribs, fish, and the peanut stew, all of which were expertly prepared. We also had a couple cocktails, which I rarely do, but they were quite good! Tons of originality on display, and very well executed. The interior is the one area with any real flaw. For the most part, it's well decorated and the vibe is on point, but some areas around the window looked unpolished compared to the rest of the restaurant. Overall, huge recommend. It's gone on the list of restaurants I'm excited to return to.

The food is incredible no doubt but the portion sizes for the jollof and fufu is extremely unfair. I went there in March and the portion was somewhat reasonable but when I went back there in June, the portion size had shrunk dramatically. The $26 jollof I ordered looked like leftovers so I had to order an extra side of jollof for $8 Very unfair considering there's a forced 20% gratuity on dine in orders. I really like the food but please increase the portion size for the jollof and fufu especially it is very bad
