This spot was awesome! I wish we had thought to eat lunch here and will be back in the future to give the food a try.I got a chaggacino which was delicious, not too sweet which I feel like a lot of flavored lattes can be. They have loads of pastries and food options. I will say it was packed full of people when we went.

As I travel, there are places I wish I had back home. This cafe is one of them. All manner of elaborate pastries and an extensive coffee menu. There's breakfast with plenty of savory options yum! Outdoor seating that's nicely separated from the road. Different types of indoor seating including bar-style facing outside (my favorite).I had a delicious Vietnamese-style iced coffee and a pastry that was a cross between a croissant and a pain au chocolat, with much more chocolate than I expected (but somehow, not over-sweet- just grab some napkins!)Goddess & the Baker is a small local chain with multiple locations, I only tried this spot, but will look for the others next time I'm in Chicago. It's a short walk from the Chicago River promenade. Chicago in summer has a lovely cafe culture, echos of European summer. This cafe is a delightful contribution.

Amazing food. Awesome experience. I will definitely be back. Too many choices to choose from but everything was great. I had a mocha and breakfast sandwich and enjoyed them both immensely.

I expected more out of this place, but overall the food was ok, the atmosphere is find and service is ok too. It's a very busy place, which is nice, and food is fresh. I thought the pastries would be high end, but they were just ok. No complaints though, I will be back if I'm in town again.

On a cool morning, looking for grub in downtown Chicago, we stopped at Goddess and the Baker for some good eats and we we got it! For me, the huevos rancheros - two gooey eggs topped with fresh, crispy veggies from south of the border. Break the yolks, watch them run, then fill up your belly with yumminess and a little spice from jalapenos. The rest of our group got a standard Goddess breakfast (toast, eggs, bacon and hash browns), chicken and waffles and a tuna croissant, and they all hit the spot, just as you'd imagine a good breakfast would. Special shout out to the Baker's Choice salad - a fresh arugula and green salad with a perfectly cooked egg off to the side, a perfect combination of freshness for breakfast. And of course, on the way out we had to help ourselves to some baked goodies to gnosh on the way to our next stop. Goddess and the Baker, now you can add "...and a satisfied customer" to your title!

Arrived on an early flight and my hotel checked me around 10:30 AM. Needed to prepare for a meeting, so needed some brunch to go. Became a goddess at cute Goddess and the Baker around the corner. Buzzing business. Pastries, coffees, brunch mains all looked great. My Goddess Breakfast and Chocolate Croissant (which counter guy recommended warming up) were huge portions and delish. Saving some of the pastry for later. Good coffee options and amazing merch! Goddesses rule this morning!

Everything is this city has a vibe or an ambiance to it. This is a full menu coffee shop it moves like a deli counter and its food delivery with a helpful staff. It was another nice day out so grabbed a table under an umbrella. Great place to work out of. And a big enough menu to keep coming back to try new items.

This is one of my favorite spots to grab coffee, pastries, breakfast or lunch. I love the majority of their menu and there's too many items to mention but notable favorites of mine include the lavender latte, egg & ham cheddar biscuit, ham & cheese croissant, cherry cheesecake danish, and the garden goddess wrap. I could eat here everyday and it's especially nice in the warmer months when you can eat outside and enjoy the lively atmosphere of the street. The service is friendly and speedy. If you're looking for a pick-me up, sweet treat, or a place to grab a meal, this the perfect spot.

Excellent stop for a light (or even more substantial) breakfast. Picked this place because it close to the river right before our architecture tour (when in Chicago). It's very trendy and cute. Outdoor and indoor seating. Amazing pastry, menu and coffee selection. Went with an iced coffee plus a Ham and Swiss cheese croissant. The croissant has a bit of everything bagel seasoning. The mocha came with a mini muffin. Very happy with my choices.
