Go Go Sushi & Ramen

Poke Perfect: A Refreshing Experience at Go Go Sushi and RamenCraving a healthy and delicious lunch, I ventured into Go Go Sushi and Ramen, an awesome poke spot in town. It was sit down diner and the place was empty, which made me skeptical, although it was 2:00 PM. I opted for something healthy, so I ordered Go Go Poki Rice Bowl. The wait was reasonable and plate came with a bed of white rice, fresh ahi tuna, crunchy cucumber, and a sprinkle of seaweed salad. The star of the show was definitely the ahi tuna - incredibly fresh (super RED!!!), with a perfect melt-in-your-mouth texture. The portion size was perfect, leaving me feeling satisfied but not weighed down.Highly recommend!

Solid 3.5 stars!I'm very picky about my sushi and ramen but Go Go fits the bill when I want reasonably priced food to fill my belly. This is usually my go-to place when I'm grocery shopping at HMart since it's right next door.My staple items: Agedashi Tofu: lightly battered tofu with a dipping sauce. Pretty standard but made well.Bento Boxes are pretty filling. The hubby likes his usually chicken teriyaki and says it's pretty darn tasty.Rolls: I usually opt for their Awesome roll: shrimp tempura, avo, salmon, eel and dynamite sauce. I also enjoy their Rainbow Roll and their Hawaiian roll that is a bit simpler with tuna, crab and cucumber.Ramen was just alright so I don't order that. I usually go to places that are known specifically for their ramen so I tend to order other menu items instead.Parking is horrific...I call it carmageddon, LOL. It's a very busy shopping center so plan ahead.

We came here on Sunday, Nov. 12, for dinner. It was interesting to see Korean items at this Japanese Restaurant.Ordered:Dragon Roll -with the eel sauce on the side. It was okay.Avocado rolls - It was plain and no flavor.Bento - Chicken Teriyaki EntreeCharbroiled chicken topped with teriyaki sauce. Served with rice, miso soup, salad, 4 pieces veggie tempura, 1 piece shrimp tempura and 4 pieces California roll. - The chicken and all the items were ok.Tempura Udon - Thick udon noodles with mushrooms, onions, carrots and broccoli in Japanese broth and served with a side of shrimp and veggie (squash, carrot, onion) tempura. Family member didn't like the soup as much but it was okay.Side Ginger and wasabi.Overall, the food and the service were okay.

Interesting little Japanese-Korean restaurant! They had a little bit of both, a taste of Japan and a taste of Korea! Our hostess was a sweetheart, she welcomed us and helped us with menu options, she offered items on the menu to pair with our selections and checked in on us regularly. The dining room was open, and spacious. Although the place isn't very big, it did not feel cramped at all. We arrived towards closing time so the staff were already cleaning up for the day. We tried the Mango Wango, which I enjoyed very much! Also had a crunchy roll, I don't remember the name, however, it had tempura, tuna, and avocado. Was good, yet I still enjoyed the Mango Wango over the crunchy roll.Great little spot for a quick bite if you're craving sushi or a good asian entree!

Ordered takoyaki, a roll with crunchy shrimp and another with soft shell crab (there were both on the second page of the sushi rolls menu.) Food was better than expected and service was attentive and quick. Soft shell crab was tasty and the takoyaki had a generous amount of octopus slices. Also had green tea for myself and miso soup for my friend. We got in around 6 and there was only another person seated but it filled up sometime before we left.Not bad and would eat here again.

This is based off of a to go order. I ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen. While it tasted good the portion was TINY. AND ONLY 2 TINY PIECES OF PORK!? Not worth the money for what is equivalent to half a normal portion. The Spicy Salmon roll was not good, kinda like what I expect a 7-Eleven sushi roll would be. And again they skimped on the portions, ONE SOY SAUCE PACKET?? Maybe the portions are bigger when you dine in but I would not recommend ordering out from here

Well, made me wait for my order to tell me LATER that they are out of it. Very disappointing bc now I am being late to the other open place. Very unprofessional.

With all the cold rain last night, it was the perfect ramen night. Go Go Sushi & Ramen is in Mira Mesa, right next to the HMart Asian supermarket. This location has been here for a while, we just never checked it out until we discovered our joy for Ramen a few months ago. The location is very small. On their website, they offered reservations. I wasn't sure how busy they would be, so I called a few hours ahead and made a reservation for 2. When we arrived there was no wait. There was only 2 other couples sitting down eating. Our table was all set up and a little "Reserved" sign. It was very cute. And it scored me extra points when my wife realized that I had made reservations! The host who greeted us was very nice. If you know any Japanese people, they are some of the most polite people. We absolutely loved her.The Food....Both my wife and I ordered the Soy Sauce Ramen. It comes with a pork based broth, bbq pork, hard boiled egg, seaweed and green onions. I decided to try mine "spicy"! When our ramen arrived, you could tell by the color that my bowl was the spicy one. As I started to try it, it was not that spicy...it was delicious, but not what I would consider spicy....that was until I was about half way through my bowl. That's when I felt the heat kick in. It was fantastic. The broth has so much flavor to it. I also ordered the deep fried California rolls and the "Badda Bing" baked roll. The deep fried roll was perfectly cooked and delicious. This is always my go to roll anywhere that does them deep fried. But the "Badda Bing" roll was new and unique to us. The "Badda Bing" is a basic imitation crab and avocado roll. Topped with spicy dynamite sauce shrimp and langostino. It's then baked and topped with masago and eel sauce. This roll is possibly my new favorite. It comes with 6 pieces. My wife could not stand the heat, so I got to enjoy most if it. Overall, this place is fantastic. And if you don't like ramen, their menu really has a good variety of stuff. Bento boxes and chicken entrees. And the value is great. For the 2 ramen bowls, 2 rolls, appetizer and drinks - our bill was about $60. Compared to the other places we visited recently, we spent $80+ for much less food. I highly recommend this spot. On most days, I would say reservations are not required unless you have a large group. But it's a nice touch to the experience to be able to make one. Can't wait to come back!

I got the Korean BBQ Bulgogi bento box. I really enjoyed the veggie/shrimp tempura and california rolls that came in the bento box. It was a pretty good value given the amount of food, but the bulgogi meat was not particularly special. This is a cute restaurance, and it always smells amazing when I pass by. I would like to return in the future and try some more of their sushi or perhaps one of the curry dishes., Service was excellent, although I did takeout. The cashier quoted me 15-20min so I went to do some grocery shopping at HMart next door. When I returned in 15min, my food was ready. Parking is free and numerous in this shopping center.

I will return to this wonderful restaurant. The fostaff od was delicious and the service staff did a great job.
