I almost don't know if I should post a review.. I want this place to stay a hidden gem. I stopped in for something small to eat. First, the placed smelled delicious so I had a feeling it was going to be good. But... I had no idea, how good. The crust, the lobster & crab, the sauce.. even the size of the rangoons were perfect. Best crab rangoons I've had in a long time. I'm definitely coming back for a much larger meal

One of our go-to places in Chinatown. It sure doesn't look like anything from the outside, but the food is pretty great. We loved the salt and pepper squid, French beef, hot and sour lime fish (neither hot nor sour, but delicious), and pumpkin crab soup. The eggplant stuffed with shrimp was a bland rendition, and the baked rice with seafood was mostly cream. But the top dishes are top notch indeed.Simple, plain room. The iPad ordering system works well.

Service: 4/5Food: 3/5Ambiance: casual, good for groupsClassic family-style Cantonese restaurant. Looks run down, but the food is actually pretty decent. Supposedly you can also say a dollar amount + they'll create a custom menu for you. Limited seating downstairs, but when not understaffed they also have an upstairs. What I Ordered: - Salt + Pepper Fried Tofu: crispy outside, silky soft inside. slightly salty + delicious- Steam Live Scallop with Garlic Sauce: saucy, scallop bits were overcooked- Beef Chow Fun: did not try, but plate was clean- Beef Chow Fun (substituted w/ pork): flavorful, but pork was overcooked- Pea Tips with Garlic: flavorful, some leaves were chewy- French Style Beef Tenderloin: did not try, but a fan favorite from the rest of the table

The restaurant is small and intimate, but the menu is huge!! I grew up in Chinatown so I know some of the best places for authentic top quality cuisine. The usual dishes seems like the chef has a magical wand or something to kick it up to Omg status. Must haves are French beef tenderloin (sorry forgot to take the picture because it was all eaten up too fast), big meaty potstickers, fresh jumbo shrimp with succulent, lobster sauce, tender, sliced beef with soft noodles. I wish I had more people to dine with so I can order more stuff to sample. But next best thing is repeat visits.! Friendly prompt service, and clean, neat tables. Love the iPad for colorful food pictures descriptions with easy ordering prompts.

Talk about finding a hidden gem night in the city started here for dinner , got lucky and got a table quickly , but be advised there are only 6 tables in restaurant. First come, first serve. We had the Tao bao, egg fried rice, crab Rangoon and the tea marinated duck. Every dish was made fresh and delicious. I wish the duck can with a sauce but she did let us know it was dry version, there's a version w sauce as well. My first time having duck and it was nice and crispy . Already am planning what I would have on next visit. Service was quick , once at table you order food/drinks from a kiosk on table. The ambiance is chill at it is small space. Check out if in area you won't be disappointed

This is our second trip here. First time did some experiment with soft ahell crab and shrimp with egg wolk, which was ok, this time we went for conventional stuff. Orange chicken and shrimp with shell with cilly fusion sauce. Both of themWe're great and the price was good too. The photo was not great as we were so hungry that we started eating.

This is our go-to Chinese restaurant in Chicago. We love this modern take on Cantonese style cuisine. We love the crispy silverfish, they're like yummy salty fries. Our favorite dish is the salted egg yolk, crab, oh boy is it messy but so worth it- we were licking the batter off the shell. The kids loved the French tenderloin beef. The millionaire fried rice is delicious, really wet, covered in scallops and shrimp. We always get the salted fish chicken fried rice- everyone loves it. Really great quick service. This place is really popular, so there may be a wait to be seated. Highly recommend!

One of my favorite restaurants in Chinatown! Don't judge the book by its cover--this spot is a bit tucked away from the main street in Chinatown but it's far better than the other restaurants you'll find in the main areas. The owner Wendy is super knowledgeable on the dishes and boasts their seafood always being fresh (literally, there's a tank with live lobsters at the back), and you can clearly tell when you try the food!

We got:French-style Beef TenderloinSalted Egg Yolk ShrimpHong Kong style Soft Shell CrabSmoked Tea-Flavored DuckBraised Beef Brisket w/ Chinese DaikonLaksa LobsterOyster w/ XO sauceExcellent hole in the wall Cantonese restaurant. I would recommend any of the items I ordered. The French style beef tenderloin looks simple but is executed perfected. They'll make seafood with homemade salted egg yolk which you won't find at most of the other Chinese restaurants. The smoked tea flavored duck was so soft and amazing. Get the giant oyster with XO sauce because that's also pretty unique. I love laksa in general and it was delicious on the perfectly cooked lobster.Manager was very nice and conversed with us. Very passionate about her restaurant. I like how clean the space is.
