Okay, if you like bakeries this is a must experience. It's, picture this, a tiny place that brings you back to when you were a kid where everything is inexpensive but probably the best yummies on the planet.Okay, I challenge you to grab $20 and head here, fill a tray to feed you and your favorite neighbor or Auntie!Stuffed Bolillo s with every imaginable goodie, warm, fresh, and from scratch.Once you go, you will ask yourself why you drove by and never stopped all these years.Okay, Pro tip:-Grab them for your road trip-Grab them for snacks at the drive in movie theater - yes there's one right up the street-Grab them when you are in the dog house but sleep in said dog house at least 1-2 days for effect-Have them at the ready for early morning /late arriving guests but not too many as your guests might stay indefinitelyHave fun, check it out!

My favorite Mexican bakery!! This bakery is in a little plaza and it's hit or miss with the parking situation. I've never had a problem finding parking. There are times when you can drive right up and there are times where you have to park a few stores down but it's never a big problem. It's so close to the freeway too so if you're not from the area it's not a pain to locate and it's easy to leave. Right when you walk in you it smells soooo good and there's a huuuuge selection of pastries you can choose from (check pics). You get that same feeling of being a little kid in a candy store when you're here. You get a pan and some tongs and walk down the aisles to start picking which ones you want. They all look soooo good and are decently priced so I grab a few of each one. Once you're done you just bring it to the counter and the cashier can ring you up. But wait... there's more! They have stuffed bolillo with different things. I've tried all of them and my favorite has to be the jalapeño and cheese and the chorizo and cheese. Well they all have cheese. The other ones are sooooo good too but the ones I mentioned are just my favorites! But make sure you go early if you want to get the stuffed bolillos because they do run out. There have been mornings where I came expecting but they sold out :(. Oh... with these you do the same thing. Just grab a tray and some tongs and load em up! The lady behind the counter is really nice and helpful. Sometimes I forget which pastries are stuffed with jelly or cream and she helps me right out. I just figured out that they open at 5am! Lots of donut shops aren't even open at that time. It looks like I'll be coming here more often before work. Don't forget to bring cash!If there aren't any more stuffed bolillos it's probably because of me!!!

This has to be (in my humble opinion) the best panadería in all of San Diego County. The diversity in selection, freshness, and pricing cannot be easily matched. The capirotada (Mexican bread pudding), empanadas, and bolillos rellenos are my go-tos, but, frankly, I've never been disappointed. I only came to know of this place because Gloria was a tenant of mine about 8 years ago. As I live in Hillcrest, I rarely had the occasion to be so far south, other than to check on the property and the tenants. However, for the past 8 years, I make it a point to drive the 30 miles round trip nearly every weekend. If I could give this place 11 stars, I would

I love this place! It's open early, then read is sometimes still warm when I show up. Very reasonably priced! Tip: make sure you leave a tip! Really easy to find and right off the freeway next to 7-11. So you can go grab you coffee at 7-11 then head over to get some really good Mexican pan dulce. Kind of reminds me of home because, I really believe they do what my did and use Canela water for the dough, which adds awesome flavor. I can't confirm that but I can taste it on the pan. Really good go check it out. If Donald Trump tried this bread he would forget about building the wall. Also, they have filled bolillos with all kids of variations. Really good!

Gloria's wonderful little tiny bakery was filled with a glorious smell. She has trays and tongs you can go around and collect anything you wanted to try and take it to her at the register where she would back it up for you to take home. I couldn't believe how delicious things were I got at least five different things and it only cost me $4.09 I couldn't believe it of course I left a tip for her she was wonderful. I highly recommend this bakery especially if you're wanting something sweet but not boring or ordinary.

Tried Gloria's (aka La Haciendita per the sign out front) for the first time and we loved it. All the reviews talked about the stuffed bolillos so we tried the machaca and the jalapeño chorizo and they were great. We got a few different types of pan dulce and were not disappointed. Friendly staff too! We will definitely be back to try all the different stuffed bolillos.

This place not only has fresh authentic Pan Dulce "sweet Bread" but has great customer service. The bread is so good OMG!! A must have. Only downside for me was figuring out what the name of the bakery is so I can write a reviewer. I took a picture of the sign inside the bakery and it said tortas on the sign. I would recommend 100% it is a family owned business and I love that. A plus is how clean it is not to mention they are Covid19 prepared Love it
