Unbelievable place. Took a couple weeks to get in and clearly we could tell why almost immediately! Felt like we were walking into Thailand. The parking is not great especially for a larger SUV like mine. Took us a second to get one. We were sat in the bar which was a fun experience. My husband is a muscular guy and barely fit between the two seater bar tables. It worked tho. All of the food was delicious. We tried several plates, sharing style. Will definitely be back!

NOTE: MAKE A RESERVATION BEFORE READINGOkay, I have to admit, I was skeptical about this whole TikTok restaurant hype thing. But when it came to Glai Baan, I figured I'd give it a shot. And let me tell you, this place is the Beyoncé of Thai restaurants in Phoenix - everyone wants a piece of it.First off, the wait. I felt like I was waiting for a new season of my favorite show to drop - almost two hours for a table! But here's the kicker: it was absolutely worth it. The cozy room, killer cocktails, and compelling menu kept me glued to my spot like a food-fueled binge-watcher.Glai Baan's menu is like a greatest hits album of Bangkok and northeastern Thailand street foods. Each dish is a chart-topping, taste-bud-tingling masterpiece. The Peek gai tod (chicken wings) are so crispy and flavorful, you'll want to hoard them like they're the last wings on earth. Seriously, these marinated wings with jaew sauce should have their own fan club. Then there are the Son in Law eggs. Trust me, just try them. These beauties are like the plot twist you never saw coming but are so glad you did. They're perfectly cooked, slightly sweet, and totally addictive. And, of course, no visit to a Thai restaurant is complete without Pad Thai. Glai Baan's version is so good, it could make a grown man cry (happy tears, of course). It's the kind of Pad Thai that makes you question all other Pad Thais you've ever had.The social media buzz is real, folks. Glai Baan is not just a hit; it's a sensation. So, if you're in Phoenix and have a couple of hours to spare, head over to Glai Baan. Your taste buds will thank you, your Instagram will blow up, and you'll leave wondering why you ever doubted TikTok in the first place.

The hype about this place is more than well deserved. After having this place marked as "want to go" for several years, we finally visited tonight! It took us a bit to get reservations, but the wait was worth it. Upon entry to leaving, the staff and service were all top notch and incredible! Lots of eye contact, smiles and rare attention to detail. A spoon fell off our table and within moments a staff member appeared out of nowhere and replaced it without us requesting it. The service of food was surprising speedy! Our food and drinks both came out quickly! The atmosphere is so fricken cute and cozy, yet a tad noisy. Looked like they had a cute patio for cooler months as well. Food wise, omg yum! We each got different cocktails, split 2 appetizers and then tried 3 different entrees, one being a repeat of another order. We asked the waiter for his recommendations and ordered what he suggested for everything - it was all incredible and we look forward to returning again!

Make reservations in advance! Arrived here at 4:05PM (5 mins after opening) on a Saturday and it was practically full. Luckily there was an open table and was seated. At 4:15 there was already a 70 min wait! However it is definitely worth it. They have patio seating however it's closed until the sun goes down. The Kao Soi is absolutely delicious and I would order it time and time again. The curry broth is very flavorful and one of the best I've tasted throughout my life. Definitely the star of my dinner.Overall would definitely eat here again and recommend it to anyone who is craving Thai food.

We recently spent a few days in Phoenix and decided to visit this place again. The space is small and there's always a wait, but it's totally worth it.They take pride in preparing their drinks and dishes. The menu selection is small, which is great because you know they've mastered each item.We ordered the fried chicken, pork skewers, and pork dumplings. The fried chicken was crunchy with juicy meat inside, and the sauce complemented it perfectly. The pork skewers were tender and delicious, and the dumplings were just as good.We really enjoyed the pad thai, but my ultimate favorite was the braised beef panang curry. We'll definitely be back every time we're in town.

I had been wanting to try Glai Baan for a while since my classmate who's from Thailand said this is a very authentic Thai restaurant. The experience was definitely not disappointing! We started with a round of cocktails, and they were delicious with some Asian twists. We ordered their fried chicken, and pad Thai as snacks. At first, I was a bit skeptical about ordering fried chicken at a Thai restaurant because I didn't think it was that special. However, their fried chicken was to die for. The soy and chili-based dipping sauce was a nice pairing. The Pad Thai was very authentic and perfect with drinks. Before coming to this place, we heard that it specialized in serving Thai street food. It was true that the food options were not as many as in a typical restaurant, but the menu paired well with drinks. We came here as a quick stop on our bar-hopping date night, and we wished we'd have ordered more dishes to try out that day. The vibe of this place was unique and exotic. The place was small and intimate, kind of hidden from the main street. I'd recommend making reservations if you plan to come during regular meal hours, or it should be okay if you stop by for a happy hour drink on a week day.

I cannot believe I've gone this long without doing a review for Glai Baan, not that they need it because they stay busy. Glai Baan is definitely my go to when I want GREAT tasting authentic Thai food. This is also where I take EVERYONE who hasn't been here yet. This is definitely a hidden gem here in Phoenix. The service is always great, music is great, the overall atmosphere just makes you feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside!!! Some of the foods I've tried and recommend:Pad Thai - This is my go to every time, when I think I'm going to try something different, I cave and just go straight for the Pad Thai. I've had it with both chicken and Shrimp. Can't go wrong with either, both proteins are good. You can choose your spice level between 1 -5. The dishes automatically come medium (3), I do a 4 spice level.Pork Dumplings - this is always a must appetizer. This is good to get when you want to have something with a salty taste, but not too salty of course Crispy Wings - This too is a must app. I get them fried extra crispy. These are better than any fried chicken from any chicken restaurantPork and Cabbage - This pretty good as well.Pork Skewers - same as the dumplings, highly recommend if you're wanting something salty. One thing I forgot to mention about the service, this is not like your traditional restaurant, meaning the food comes out as it's ready, which could not be all at once.

If you are a fan of Thai food, Glai Baan needs to be added to your must try list! This place serves authentic Thai food in such a beautifully decorated intimate setting. The food isnouy of this world and is so flavorful. There is not a single dish I wouldn't reorder again. During the not so hot months, I recommend trying to snag a table in the outdoor patio area. I will say its very difficult to get a reservation past 6pm any day of the week (especially on the weekends), so if you plan to walk in ans grab a table, go anytime Monday-Thursday before 4:00pm. Parking is also limited, so be prepared for that, but trust me the food and experience is worth it!

My husband & I came here for a date night after many recommendations. We had the dumplings, pad Thai, Thai tea, wings, and curry. The food was AMAZING The wait for the food was really long though, and service was not very good but the food being so good really made up for it! Reservations are highly recommended. I think I made our reservation about two weeks out. I'm looking forward to coming back again!!

Tips: Be there 10 minutes before opening if you want to get seated right away. OR MAKE A RSVP!! Call in for RSVP. We watched the host repeatedly redirect clients to the establishment behind the building while waiting on the waitlist. Outdoor seating opens when the sun goes down so open seating indoors is limited at opening. Shoutout to both the hostess and server for holding the front down efficiently with smiles and patience. That is awesome customer service and team work.Menu is simple. We ordered the house thai tea. Yum! Khao Soi - 10/10!! Really loved this entree from the spices to the sweet curry to the crunch from the fried noodles. Minced chicken with fried egg - ALSO VERY GOOD!! A great pairing with the noodle soup dish. The fried egg was done nicely. We wished to have ordered this entree a bit spicier. Parking lot is tricky. Goodluck with that. No tips there besides avoid getting towed when parking in other areas.
