$20 GREEN CURRY MUSSELS: HUGE portion! the the sauce was tasty, but almost tasted watered down? Maybe not enough curry flavor?
Baked (but not...?) Atlanta. Womp womp.
Loving the warm seaside tones. Even a glass of water emit such ambiance.

This is always a good hitter for me, service is always top notch and so is the food. We hung out at the main bar for an hour then moved into the speak easy since we had never been. The speak easy definitely needed leveling up it just appeared as a regular bar, I bought in my espresso martini from the main bar and then ordered another but it looked like a latte and tasted like one. We stayed for one drink then exited. However we may give them another shot but definitely need to ensure the drinks are consistent at both bars

We came here on a Thursday night. It was not busy ..there were only 2 tables besides us and one had already been served. It took 20 minutes to get our drinks- bartender was more concerned with her patrons at the bar vs. diners at tables. The Food: I ordered blackened Mahi Mahi. It was meh. Barely any spice to it. I only ate 1/3 of it. Garlic potatoes were runny and without flavor- The only thing good was the Thai creamed corn. I think entree was 26.00. Way overpriced for the quality and yes we waited for that too! I could understand if it was super busy but there was only one active table and they ordered appetizers. My companion ordered the meatloaf - he said it was good ..Our waitress was nice and apologized for the delays. I'd never go back there. Too many other places to go where quality of food is better and service ( drinks) efficient.

We went on a Sunday just to try it. Had some resy credits to use through Amex.Very pleasantly surprised. Menu is lobster-forward. Lobster is usually overpriced and poorly prepared, Girl Diver is an exception. The bisque is truly a masterpiece, and the roll was tender and juicy as well. We really could not criticize the food. The same is true for the cocktails. Tianna was the bartender, and she clearly knows her trade. Don't often see something unique in Atlanta, but they had one that was new to me and it did not disappoint. They recently opened a new speakeasy as well. Casual feel to it-no need for a tux-and it will surely make a great addition to Girl Diver and the area. My wife I loved it and we will be back on a regular basis.

I visited this place on a Sunday and it was quite chill since I arrived when they opened. The server was friendly and welcoming! There's a speakeasy here that I must try, and I'm also interested in checking out the live music. My favorite items were the seasoned fries and my margarita. The lobster roll was okay, but I prefer clumpy lobster meat to chopped.I'll definitely be back, it's a pretty cool spot!

Okay, this unassuming little spot should be ALL over the internet. I knew about this place for about a year now and decided to stop in on a random Sunday. Best decision ever! The food is amazing. I wish I took photos ahead of time but we couldn't resist eating every single bite. We had the lobster rangoons (yum), the smash burger, and the chicken fried rice. Beyond amazing. The service here is wild. I have not wanted since I walked in the door. Every time they walked out, they asked if we needed anything. Excellent time, we will be back!

Update: I went back and sat in my usual spot on the patio and had a much better experience. The GM (I believe his name was Diedrick) stopped by to chat and cleared up some of the confusion and also took some of my feedback into consideration for future improvements. The entire staff working the bar and patio were upbeat, friendly, and attentive. The food was on point as per usual. I hope my most recent experience is what I can look forward to consistently in the future.

Great food, service was on point, and the atmosphere with the music was everything. You have to some order these dishes. I also had and expresso martini along with Kung Fury!

PARKING (5/5):They have a covered parking lot they share with the other businesses & AMC Movie Theater next door. Tons of parking.AMBIANCE (3/5/):This is more of a date night spot, the lights were very dim when I came during the evening, even at the bar.FOOD (3/5):The food presentation looked amazing! Cool & unique plates, but the food just didn't deliver for me and the gold bowl I had for my entree was actually really hard to eat out of because it was such a deep bowl. I love the effort, but it wasn't very practical.$20 GREEN CURRY MUSSELS: this portion was huge! the mussels were large and the sauce was tasty, but almost tasted watered down? Maybe not enough curry flavor? I liked it, but it could use improvement. Comes with 3 thin slices of sourdough to soak up the sauce. Good appetizer to share between 2 people. $20 CARAMELIZED CHICKEN: this was good, but it was the smallest chicken thigh/breast I've ever seen. Mostly just rice and an almost soft-boiled egg. Although I liked the sauce on the chicken, it was SO SMALL & I'm a tiny person. OVERALL (3.5/5)The 2 items I tried were average price, but there were some items on the menu that are on the pricier side. The food was good, but not good enough for me to come back again.

We dressed down on a Sunday night but this is easily a dress up date spot! The place is beautiful and intimate. It has a nice dining room and then a covered patio. Service was prompt, friendly, and helpful. They have a fantastic bar if you just want some craft cocktails and some apps. All the cocktails looked fantastic. My bourbon cocktail (can't remember the name) was delicious. So delicious I had two...The food was excellent. We started with the Garlic Cheese Bread. Unfortunately not pictured here. This is a MUST order. It was two about 6" round "loafs" of soft pillowy bread semi-hollowed out as a bowl. Then stuffed with this light fluffy cheese (ricotta blend?) We demolished it immediately. I would just get this and a cocktail and be in bliss. The Basil Chicken was moist and the sauce very flavorful but it's definitely spicy with its red curry. Don't know if you can ask for it to be more mild if you can't take the heat. The Shaking Beef was very good as well. A huge amount of tender beef with just enough chew with a nice glazed sauce over it. The side salad was light and refreshing.Defiinitely a great gem for the neighborhood whether for a fancy night out or just some good food. A little pricy but you're getting great quality for it.

I've been coming here for years!! Love the fusion take on the dishes. But as of today, I came and realized they're full on soul food!! :( what the heck?! Love soul food and I'm sure they prepare and make it very well, but Girl Diver was an escape from the same ol same ol. To see meatloaf, catfish, yams, cabbage and collards on the menu is so sad! I'm an Atlanta native, born and raised, grew up on soul food and appreciate and love it. But I don't come to Girl Diver for that (crying face if the emoji doesn't translate). I really don't know how I feel about this... well I do; hate it. There's no reason to come anymore. I mean, the brussel sprouts are still here but ummm.... this is sad. RIP mussels, dumplings, xo xo wings, ube cheesecake, etc. Go back to being the anomaly, please.
