Way too hot to stay home and cook dinner with this heatwave pushing temps well into the 90s inland.Decided to try this restaurant when it popped up during our Yelp search. And we're glad we came in for an early linner.Here's what we ordered:-- Black bean noodles: This is posted as only being available Monday-Thursday from 11am until 3pm, but our waiter kindly offered to check in with the kitchen to confirm they could make this. Thankfully we were able to experience this awesome dish!I cannot speak about authenticity, but having tried black bean noodles at several restaurants over the years, I can say the version offered here is some of the best we've had.The delicious black sauce perfectly concealed the piping hot noodles underneath, which remained firm. After a good mixing, as is the appropriate way to enjoy this dish, it was a lip-smacking good time.-- Chicken Katsu Curry: My girl ordered this and loved how it didn't include any potatoes, which I found disappointing since it's my understanding that this dish is traditionally served with potatoes. We agreed to disagree on this point.The chicken katsu here was crunchy outside, yet the chicken remained surprisingly moist inside. After being disappointed so many times by the dry chicken served elsewhere, I normally do not order chicken katsu and opt for pork katsu instead, which is more forgiving in my opinion.An extra helping of curry is served in a gravy boat so you can precisely control the volume of sauce you want to drown your chicken katsu and rice wjth. I thought it was a nice touch.-- Pork Belly and kimchi: Now this was another great dish! Next time I may have to order two servings so I don't have to share with my lady. Sorry. Not sorry. I'm sure she would agree.This dish was served sizzling on a hot stone and I couldn't get enough of the perfectly seasoned pork belly.I was impressed that the kimchi managed to remain so firm sitting beside the pork belly on the hot stone.This was a great casual dinner spot we only discovered thanks to Yelp and I hope to come back soon. This is our 5th visit to this place in about 8 weeks. We just can't get enough of Ginza Sushi. To say this is in a hole in the wall location couldn't possibly be more true. It shares the same parking lot as Carl's Jr, Jack in the Box, 7-11, Primo's Mexican, RB Donuts, and Mama Cella's. You can't judge this book by it's cover. Even when you step inside, it's significantly underrated. But the service is great and the only thing better than the service is the food. I'm not exaggerating when I say that we've been there 5 times in 2 months. It's that good!!! We get either the Spicy Tuna or Shrimp Tempura Hand roll pretty much every time and also get the Sweet Hawaiian and Stuffed Jalapeno rolls as well. My daughter just got the sesame teriyaki bowl and it was MASSIVE. Such a big portion. Definitely enough to share with 2 people. I don't know how the service is so fast even when they're busy since they only have 1 sushi chef. Maybe they have every roll on the meny pre-made. Either that or they just know what we're going to order since we've been there so often. The fish is so fresh and such a high quality. The prices at this restaurant are so reasonable as well even when you're getting deluxe level rolls. I don't think there's a roll on the menu that's more than $15-16 where many of those would be $22-25 at other sushi restaurants. Please give this place a shot. I hate when the smaller family owned places go away because they're not busy enough. You won't be disappointed. We'll probably be going back there tomorrow!!!!

I like that this place isn't very busy so service and food is very fast.I get like a shrimp lover type of roll here. It's pretty good. Their kama salmon is pretty good. They have some deals on the menu but you don't save that much.I'd say their appetizers are good and the sushi us decent.

I came into this place for a beer and was surprised they serve Korean food at a sushi place. I ordered tofu soup since you can't find this in Rancho Bernardo. I ordered medium spicy and it is less red than the one at Korean Seoul Tofu House in Convoy, but still very delicious and more homestyle. The chunks of beef are big. You can also find bibimbap, pork soup (gamja tang), jjamppong (seafood soup), etc.

Great sushi and the rolls were half the price of the same at my other fav sushi place. I really liked their crunchy roll and their spicy edamame. I picked up my order, but everyone was very nice. Highly recommend!

First time here. Craving sushi and was in area and had decent reviews so I said let's try!Service is very friendly and attentive and got served right away and food came fast! Food review:I got the chicken teriyaki and unfortunately got a piece with a huge bone . Yikes! Also the dish itself was okay, nothing special. Give it a 5/10I ordered the shrimp crunch roll and that was good, not amazing but good. I give it a 7/10. Not impressed enough to want to come back. But my waitress was fantastic, and that was a huge plus!

Came in and wanted to support local. Ordered Sushi off their 50% off section. Don't expect full size rolls, it's hyped up retail and 50% off that and give you a small portion, maybe 50% off price or was it 50% smaller size? Chicken Katsu plate just had rice and Katsu, it was dry and no offering of Salad. Costed more than if i were to go to a similar Sushi place. Had to chase down the server to order more food, Left with a hefty bill and was still hungry. If you're mad at the tip i left, i would be upset as well.
