You got to be kidding me! $28 for the small pastrami sandwich? On what planet are you living on? Laughable and a complete rip-off. Pure greed. If you are willing to pay these prices, you're making P T Barnum look downright prophetic. Run, don't walk, away!

Can be crowded in the mornings, but this visit was at 2pm on a Saturday, and it was pretty empty. Service is pretty quick and we waited about 10 mins for our food to go. We had the lox bagel on an everything bagel (good but frankly nothing special) and the Moroccan Curried Avocado Chicken club sandwich (also good, but too much filling). The club came with a side of potato salad which we agreed was the best thing we had, and we recommend getting. All the sandwiches appear to cost $28 which is high even for the area and recent inflation and for the quality of ingredients. Maybe the breakfast items are where the 4-5 star ratings are coming from, but I wouldn't come back for their sandwiches at these prices.

"The Bad"- Service: Cold- Prices: Not InexpensiveThe Good!- Service: If you been to NYC you'll understand what you're getting here. - Prices: You're paying for the location, ingredients, quality and quantity. - Food: Some of the best I've had and most likely some of the best around the area. - Vibe: VERY BUSY and seat yourself. If you're not a fan of the mall or getting to this area is a bit of a pain. Treat yourself to a visit here to ease some of the pain. If you're curious about this place I have no doubt you'll love it!

We went there for a Sunday brunch and loved the vibe and decoration there- it felt like at home. We ordered, then self served with napkin, coffee and utensils. Later the food was brought to us freshly and yummy. Only one downside was the price, which was a little pricy for us lol

Nice brunch spot in downtown Bellevue with giant portions. Coming here reminded of me of some of the food I had when in New York. The place can get busy depending on when you come, but we were fortunate to have found a seat right as me and my friend came around 10:30. I ordered a hash and was surprised as how large the portions were. The dish came with a classic NYC bagel and some cream cheese and jam also. One note about this place is that the prices are on the slightly higher end. Just a heads up :)

Came here for brunch and had a pastrami sandwich. The coleslaw is good and the portion size is definitely shareable with someone so a half sandwich would definitely make you full. But the average rating is I just can't seem to get over the ridiculous prices for a sandwich. I mean I get that it's downtown Bellevue and I get that it trying to be like a chic New York deli (can't top Katz, sorry!) but it's a bit outrageous. Can you guys at least offer punch cards, discounts or customer loyalty pts? It's a great brunch place but it leaves a hole in my wallet

We came on a friday morning at about 9a for a breakfast with friends. The place was already bustling with people enjoying their food and drinks at the tables. We ordered at the counter, but had a prior reservation for the table. The menu options arw so plentiful and all sound delicious. We ordered french toast with homemade chicken sausage and a few specialty coffees. The total came out to $50 which for 2 people and a baby did not feel unreasonable. The food itself was delicious. The brioche french toast was light and fluffy and perfectly prepared and the homemade chicken sausage was flavorful and well seasoned and came with homemade applesauce. The portion was also great! We had our fill and plenty left over. The coffee was also good. For brewed coffee there is a nice station with all the additives and free refills and for the cappuccino the espresso was well made and they did the cutest coffee art.The ambiance itself was quaint and had a homey feel. It is very kid friendly as they provided high chairs and childrens books and had self seating as well. The waiters were all nice and very attentive. They answered questions and provided great service.Pricing seemed higher, but the portions are shareable which is something to keep in mind when deciding what to order.Parking was a little tricky. There is some street parking, but be prepared to search and walk since it is old town bellevue.Overall, good food with shareable portions and a very family friendly place for breakfast or lunch. I highly recommend the french toast. But we will be back to try their famous sandwiches!

I think Gilbert's is okay. The portions are good but for the price, which hovers around 25, I don't know if I'll be back. Especially because it's not table service, it's order at the counter then find a seat. They do have nice outdoor seating though. I'd say the best dish we tried was the curry egg scramble, super flavorful. The pancakes were good as well. But again, the experience was overall underwhelming - the indoor seating wasn't particularly nice and felt very dusty. It's right in downtown Bellevue so the parking is also pretty tough. Also, I asked for non dairy milk and they gave me whole milk - doesn't usually happen in restaurants in Seattle :/

I had the half Reuben (#9) Seattle style with the French onion soup. Both were absolutely delicious. Highly recommend. My wife had the half or 2-egg Florentine omelette with a cinnamon raisin bagel. She loved both and the portion was more than enough. The staff were very friendly and very accommodating. We loved the feel of the restaurant and were glad they had children's books up on the windows. Will definitely come back whenever we are in the area!
