4.5 starsItalian- when done right- fantastic We decided to have dinner at GianFranco's in downtown Snoqualmie and made reservations. We were warmly greeted and seated and the service was very friendly without being disruptive. Nice job!We started of with wine and an appetizer. Mushrooms with a Gorgonzola sauce. Pretty dang yummy over bread. Before I get started I must share the wine menu. Excellent variety of wines. I enjoyed a Montepulciano- yum!My husband ordered one of the specials Spaghetti di Mare and I ordered the Tortellini Carrettiera. I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of good seafood in the special and so was my husband. He didn't even offer me a bite!I asked for his opinion for the review of course and he gave this two enthusiastic thumbs up. My dish was flavorful and I would definitely order again. The sauce complimented the tortellini and veggies.

Roaming around Snoqualmie after visited the falls and we found this Italian place which my bandit immediately decided to have dinner before coming back to Tacoma. This is owned by a Filipino family- yeap you read it right, as of this writing the the owner are not Italians but a family of Filipinos. The owner worked in a different Italian Restaurants for at least a decade and decided to have his own.Food:Vitello Piccata (sliced veal tenderloin sautéed with lemon, butter, capers & white wine) - hit the spot! The veal tenderloin is cooked just right and with the smothered creamy sauce topped with onions greens, the dish looked really appealing and appetizing. Love how they cooked the veggies on the side - nice light crisp in every bite.Penne Pesto (gluten free) - the best pesto I've had from dining outside. Holly molly, I can taste how fresh and brig bright the pesto basil they used on it. The salty and richness from the cheese give a good balance on my dish. My belly is the happiest! Penne is cooked perfectly.Minestrone (fresh vegetable soup) - this top off our meal coz even if it was summertime, it's a bit chilly and this soup is such a comfort to our soul. The only downside on this one is that they served this to us with a messy presentation and it's a bit daunting by looking at it. Other than that, this soup is terrific! The ambiance is on a moody vibe. Love it and the ventilation was working perfectly. The staffs are nice and efficient. Love the overall experience.Mahalo for reading and happy juandering fellow yeeps!

We decided on a whim to go somewhere for our date night since we are staying overnight at an Airbnb nearby. Arrived around 7:45 on a Thursday night and it was PACKED and LOUD! We were a bit surprised at how crowded and loud it was on a Thursday night. The hostess greeted us right away and asked if we had reservations and we didn't. She was very friendly and said it would be a 5-10 minute wait, which was completely understandable. After about 5 minutes, we were seated at a cute table in the back. We got water, a basket of bread and some delicious garlic olive oil for dipping. After about 15 minutes, the same girl that seated us, came to our table to get our drink order. I asked her what cheeses come on the antipasto plate. She said she didn't know and would ask and come back to tell us. A few minutes later, she returned to inform us its mozzarella, Asiago, and she couldn't remember what else. We ordered an appetizer and it was delicious! The portabella mushrooms with Gorgonzola sauce. It arrived quickly! A few minutes later, a different waitress came and asked if we were ready to order. I tried asking her if she knew what cheeses were on the antipasto board. She said she didn't know. I asked if she could find out and let us know. I explained I was allergic to goat based cheese. She came back a few minutes later and instead of telling us what cheeses, she simply said, no goat cheese. We placed our order and just waited. No drink refill or much or any service while waiting. So odd...as the place was super cute, but the service just didn't match the place. The waitresses were not really friendly and it was a bit chaotic. We noticed the table next to us that got seated a minute before us had already eaten and gotten their to go box. At this point, it had been an hour...and we had about ten minutes before the restaurant close time and we asked them to just box up our food as we'd just take it home to eat. She apologized, but also seemed relieved as you could tell she was ready to call it a night: She boxed it up quite quickly - which is strange - since we had been waiting so long. All in all - we were so hopeful for a romantic and delicious dinner out. But truly bummed out :( I'll keep you posted on how the food is...after we eat our cold leftovers when we get back to rental. By the way, I highly recommend they provide a more professional uniform for the staff, as the jeans and sweatshirt look doesn't quite match the ambiance of the place...or at least a black apron over the jeans?

My family and I have tried this restaurant a few times. On our first visit, we arrived when they first opened and were able to get a table. However, given the limited number of tables available, I would recommend making reservations in advance. If they don't have seating could do a carryout. There is a table in the front next to the entrance. If you visit during the cold season this table gets a draft from the door. Since seating is limited it may not be able to avoid if it's the only one available. Overall with the limited seating, it's kinda a tight fit if your party is larger than 2 people. We didn't make reservations so they may rearrange if notified beforehand. The food was good. The kids loved the pizza and pasta. The portion sizes were quite generous. This is a place I would visit again.

Came with a group for early dinner Service was good at the beginning. Slowed down a little when they got busy. Appetizers:Caprese - it was okay. Missing some balsamic and olive oil and extra salt. Calamari - this was cooked in a tomato sauce. Flavor was okay. Bruschetta - tomatoes were flavorfulMain entree was lobster and crab ravioli with pesto cream sauceColleagues ordered short ribs, seared ribeye, pork shank, rigatoni inferno. My ravioli was delicious (and rich) but the others didn't like their dishes as much. Dessert:Cannoli - was not good at all. The shell was crispy but the cream was broken and too tangyBread pudding - large portion but kind of dry

If you're craving authentic Italian cuisine in Snoqualmie, this place is the gem! Tucked away in a cozy corner, it may be small, but it packs a flavorful punch. The service is top-notch, with attentive staff catering to your every need. Expect a brief wait for your made-to-order dishes, but trust me, they're worth it. Don't be like us and fill up on the delicious complimentary bread - no matter how tempting it is!Alright, let's dive into the good stuff, since we definitely went a bit overboard with the bread. We went straight into mains and ordered the Halibut Ala Palermo and the Fusilli Primavera, washed down with a Chardonnay from Italy. Talk about a flavor explosion! And the portions? Let's just say you won't be leaving hungry - more like rolling out with a satisfied belly! While prices may seem steep, the ample servings justify every penny. Overall, a delightful spot for a hearty Italian feast.

A wonderful hole in the wall Italian restaurant. It's quite small inside and we came in without reservations. Fortunately, our waitress was able to accommodate us, which we appreciated so much after a long day at Snoqualmie Falls. We ordered two pastas. My husband the Rigatoni inferno, which was a rigatoni pasta with red sauce, meatballs, and mozzarella. I ordered the Smoked Salmon Farfalle a seafood cream pasta. And both were delicious. They came on a hot plate and straight from the pan. We were advised to get half sizes as the portion sizing is a lot. The half sizes were perfect for the both of us. I was able to bring home leftovers. And half sizes are half the price! Our dinner was under $30. We both enjoyed our meals and will come back if we are ever in the area.
