Georgia Southern BBQ

If you're looking for damn good BBQ, look no further than the Georgia Southern BBQ food truck. Forget about those fancy sit down restaurants. There was a food truck (trailer) in a O'Reilly Auto Parts parking lot in Lemon Grove on a Friday. I saw a sign next to it advertising BBQ but didn't think much of it. When I saw a few folks coming and going from it, I thought I'd give it a shot. Let me tell you the food truck may not look like much from the outside but the food coming out of it is the bomb! He has a specials board next to his main menu. I tried the Texas Brisket Sandwich (which included one side) . All I can say is, OH "LAWD"! The flavor/seasoning is off the hook and the beef was tender. The amount of meat in the sandwich seemed generous too. I ordered the same thing for mom who's from Texas. Even she praised it and she's as tough of a critic as it gets. He has a smoker grill right there on his trailer. Highly recommend! The only problem is tracking the man down. His food truck isn't around on a daily basis, so I suggest you have a backup plan if he's not there.

A great BBQ truck/trailer! I ordered ribs and brisket, along with potato salad and the black eyed peas and white rice side. The black eyed peas were SO good. The ribs were perfectly cooked, as in not "fall off the bone" - biggest pet peeve of mine is mushy fall of the bone ribs. They were meaty and perfect to pull off the bone. The BBQ sauce was fantastic. Spicy and smoky. Perfect.This truck is in front of O'Reilly Auto Parts in Lemon Grove every Sunday. The man who owns this place is super nice and proud of his BBQ, as he should be!

What a delicious Bbq truck ! Great Ribs, potato salad was wonderful and the Chill was spectacular, full of meat !
