George's Lakeview Cafe

Great food. It's inside a bowling alley for seniors. Diner is opened to non seniors as well as seniors. I like the quiet atmosphere and polite employees. Food is awesome great portions and decent enough coffee.

Love this place. Super cute inside. Great service & food. Have tried breakfast, lunch & dinner items & have not been disappointed yet.

2nd time trying George's Cafe and the food is delicious it's nice being inside of the bowling alley grab a game after lunch or dinner

Doesn't look like much when you walk by, but after you try it once you will form a different opinion. George's food is fantastic with large portions of really well prepared food. The menu is more comfort food than I expected in a bowling alley and we will absolutely be back again multiple times, as this has on one trip became one of our local favorites...

Great food. Super rude staff. One waitress literally shoving food in her mouth and cleaning tables instead of serving me. This isn't the first time that 3 waitresses completely ignored me at this location. DESPICABLE!!!

Had there liver and onions special, to go.When I got home the 1 piece of liver was burnt and black on the outside and as tough as nails on the inside, had absolutely no taste,the baked potato was dry, and no butter provided, as well as napkins, or anything else. I usually get a decent meal here but, it sure was not worth paying for. I wish it wasn't a to go meal, as I believe they don't care once you walk out the door. Also service was no gem either.....lots of parking

The past few weeks I'd been asking the Universe to find a nice coffee shop in the area which reminds me of the Greek coffee shops and diners prevalent all over Long Island. After visiting my doctor in the Sun City Area near Boswell, I googled George's Lakeview Cafe, saw mostly five-star reviews, and determined it was time to eat at a place where the cheeseburgers actually taste good. So we went to George's (ironic that the one of the former owners of the Centre Coffee Shop in Plainview, New York was George.So this restaurant is actually located inside a bowling alley, so we went inside and discovered - a crowded place (which bespoke of good food and good turnover), a menu which is perfect for the demographics that eat here (myself among them), friendly staff, friendly waitresses, and a genuine feeling of a warm, cozy coffee shop, and with Angus bacon cheeseburgers (delicious), cole slaw (the real deal), and my wife and I split a large plate of onion rings. The food is very good, the parking lot has exit access to a cross street with a traffic light for those making a left turn heading east on Thunderbird. This also seems like a venue where if you have the slightest problem with your food or order, the general manager is more than happy to rectify the problem - the manager didn't come off as stand-offish at all, but was friendly, smiled while we checked out at the cash register. It's no surprise at all that this cafe gets mostly five-star reviews. And coming into the cafe through a working bowling alley reminded me of the location of The Man From U.N.C.L.E. TV series, where the agents enter through a New York City tailor shop. We'd definitely come back again.

Great breakfast food served fast...and the staff is great!This wonderful little place tucked inside a rec center is our morning go-to.Warning: they will know your name and your favorite dish after a few visits

A strong menu of which I only scratched the surface of. Service was friendly and place was well maintained. Prices on par for a small cafe. Was able to add a salad for a nominal fee. I will return.

My first time there. ordered meatloaf Luncheon special. Not great, but okay. large portion of meat. Server was great. The problem came when i asked for a to go container for my soda. after paying $ 2.99 for the soda, they wanted $.50 for a cup to go, which i think is ridiculous. I complained to the management, who was very nice but said that it was the owners rule. Of course the owner was in Greece. How convenient. I guess you can afford trips to Greece when you gouge your senior customers who are living on a fixed income. Shame on you. As we left thru the bowling alley, I noticed that the soda machine had a large bottle of Pepsi foe $1.25. Won't be going back there or to the other location.
