George Howell's coffee is actually so cracked lol; Basically, if you want to feel really caffeinated come here! The coffee is on the pricier side. I got the Honey Iced Latte & my boyfriend got their House Coffee. Per my boyf, he said the house coffee has a really nice flavor and he felt super awake after finishing it. I honestly really like how my latte still had the coffee taste to it, so not super milky or sweet. I also like how it's spacious, with lots of seating and outlets, making it comfortable to do some work here - & it's connected with the hotel next door so even more seating is available.

My friend lived in Boston and urged me to go right when I landed. We gave it two tries which resulted in a 3.5 rating. The first trip was for breakfast which consisted of a triple americano that was heated but not hot and on the verge of being lukewarm. My husband had an iced vanilla latte which was weak, I had the tomato goat cheese pastry, and he had an egg sandwich. The place was busy and line was long, so I didn't ask for a remake. The second visit was specifically to get my friend a bag of beans and to try the OG just for her. We went in the afternoon so it was less busy and I ordered a small OG. It was sweet, tasted just like a coffee Frappuccino, and was delicious. The hubby ordered another iced latte which he enjoyed. The second visit was much better.

Pet peeve: reviewers who ding for weird service issues. The coffee here - that's why we go to fancy coffee places, right? - is amazing. Reviewers complaining about flavored dessert drinks probably don't need to be patronizing a place like this, because vanilla-flavored sugar milk can be had anywhere. What you won't find elsewhere is the selection of unusual single-origin beans. I had pourovers on my visits and was blown away by the quality of the coffee. I found the service to be fine, with the baristas knowledgeable about the beans and their processing. Not sure what else one expects from a coffee place. Atmosphere is nicer than many coffee spots, with ample seating and an interesting selection of high-quality coffee gadgets for sale. If you know your coffee, the gear they have for sale is a reassuring sign that the coffee is going to be good. The beans for sale were freshly roasted, and while not cheap, some were within the realm of reality. Next time I am in Boston this place will be on my short list of return destinations.

Place is loud, pecan sticky bun thing was pretty good. Service is ok, they try. It's expensive for the quality.Someone took my sticky bun and they sent another back to be warmed. Took them another 5 minutes to warm it, took 10 before I got up and said something. Fresh orange juice looked delicious but was very expensive. They do have free water which is nice. Well lot place, this art in the photo is a large tapestry I think. There is also more seating in the hotel lobby this place is connected to, since they didn't have enough seating inside for everyone on the Sunday morning when I went.

Stopped for a quick breakfast with friends on a Sunday morning. It's a popular location with lots of college students doing work and not that many tables/seats, so we had to be very eagle-eyed to pounce on a table that opened up (haha). The interior is quite nice - clean with generally modern fittings - and there's a small section to the side where you can buy merch (mugs, bottles, etc.) and coffee beans (which I hear are rather popular)I ordered a matcha latte and the egg and cheese [sandwich]. The matcha latte was quite nice. It was surprisingly large - the barista basically filled to past the rim of the large mug, and carrying it back to the table was a really precarious struggle for me, but I made it with no spills! - and thankfully not very sweet. But, as much as the underlying matcha flavour wasn't covered up by sugar, I did find it to be a bit bland / too milky. The egg and cheese (comes in an English muffin) was amazing! The egg was cooked very nicely (although idk exactly how they got the egg yolk to be that perfect shape within the egg white, very impressive), and I LOved the garlic aioli sauce that really tied everything together.Portion size was also bigger than expected - perfect for breakfast or an afternoon snack.Considering the surprisingly large portions, I would say the prices were not bad at all, especially for this kind of fancy-ish cafe in a fancy-ish hotel haha. I would definitely love to come again, but I might actually stick to this order, because many of the other food options did not seem nearly as good/worth (like why is the bacon, egg, and cheese $4 more than just the egg and cheese?)

Overall: 2 Stars Great coffee but service cold as iceFood: a higher end coffee shop with great coffee and beans but the cashier and baristas are passive aggressive and down right rudePricing: $14 for two coffee lattes, we got the mocha and vanillaAmbiance: woody, neutral color palette, and bright windows bringing in a lot of light Seating & Parking: a decent amount of seating, can seat about 20 people, there are a few seats by the hotel tooService: needs some improvement, it's one thing for people to have a bad day, but for all 4 people behind the counter to be rude? this isn't a luxury retail storeMusic: no musicFinal comments: a great coffee shop ruined by rude service

I ordered a vanilla latte at George Howell. Seating is hard to find, so I recommend getting something as take-out. I did not have to wait too long for my coffee to be ready, which was a plus. The latte art was standard and pretty, while the coffee had a nice color. The coffee itself was not bad as I enjoyed my drink overall. I tried my friend's mocha and found it quite chocolate-y. I preferred my vanilla latte since I did not want a drink that was rich. Overall, both drinks are not bad, so I would not mind coming back for a solid coffee.

Vibe was cool. I got a frozen coffee because it was so hot out and I am no longer used to the humidity and it was just out of a machine. I thought it was more of a frappe but it was still alright. I loved the time inside. Would like to try a hot coffee just maybe when it's colder out.

Great spot for a relatively quick to-go order. Grabbed myself an iced latte "half caff" with maple. It did not disappoint. Not much to report on regarding service. Ambiance was clean and professional being that it's within The Godfrey Hotel. I enjoyed exploring the various coffee products they have on display. Nice shop to pop into!

We stopped at George Howell Coffee on our way out as we wanted a quick, yet filling coffee and breakfast before our day started! I ordered a decaf pumpkin spiced latte with almond milk (SO GOOD) with a sausage, egg and cheese sandwich on an English muffin. My Husband ordered a regular drip coffee with an egg, tomato and arugula sandwich on an English muffin. Both were so yummy and filling (as you can tell my Husband couldn't wait for me to get a photo first before taking a chomp), perfect for a quick breakfast on the go! And man oh man those baristas were pumping out orders like nobody's business! We went in the middle of the morning rush but you wouldn't have known it by how quickly they were getting people through the line, we waited no time for our order. Great spot!
