Went to Gelato Vero for the first time today! The Miele iced latte was AMAZING. Unfortunately, I can't say the same thing about my matcha latte :/ It tasted like straight oatmilk with no matcha flavor at all. I was so sad. I didn't taste it until I got to the car and by then it was too late to turn back.

Their raspberry and blackberry gelato was fantastic! Not too overly tart and well balanced if you're feeling fruity! My sisters got the mocha rum crunch and esspresso and they favored the espresso more. All depends on preference. Sampled the passion fruit and it was way too tart for my taste buds.Hard to find parking but still would come back here!

The best gelato I've had. I went with Tahitian vanilla, chocolate hazelnut and cookies and cream. Incredible texture and flavor, my brain was in ecstasy. Can't wait to come back and try the rest.

The absolute best gelato I have ever had. It's the perfect texture but not overwhelmingly sweet. I wish they had a location in North County.

Perfect example of just okay. Coffee is decent, gelato is decent, but both are missing something that puts it over the edge to make it a favorite spot. If someone suggested going here I'd probably suggest somewhere else in hopes of a better cup but I would't say they're bad by any means.

Stopped by for a treat one afternoon before visiting the topiary garden nearby.Cozy little cafe gelateria, a hop and skip from the airport and Little Italy. Small seating area inside to back after and counter and the gelato, which had 2 tables occupied - as well as about some more tables on the front patio. I was feeling chocolatey and they had a choco hazelnut and a plain chocolate gelato that I was able to sample. The young lady standing behind the counter was friendly and helpful. I ordered a regular chocolate and pistachio in a small cup (they can do two different flavours) and took it to go. I think sitting inside or outside to enjoy the ice cream would have been fun too but it was a lovely day out.Parking is not super awesome but not bad either. There is a small lot down the way and had spots when I walked by. Also available are metered street parking. I enjoyed my gelato. A friend recently told me that their stracciatella was delicious so will definitely be back to try that next time.

For years my aunt and uncle have been telling me that this is their favorite gelato in San Diego and I happened to be dining at another spot near by and walked past and had to stop in and finally try it. This spot is definitely easy to miss as it is on a busy corner where there really isn't many options in terms of parking but as I am still sitting at home enjoying my leftovers from this spot, I would say it is worth it to make the stop. It is really small inside with a couple small tables in the back if you wanted to enjoy there. There was only 1 couple ahead of me and they were pretty quick so I got to order my gelato in no time. I ended up going with two flavors, the cookies and cream and then caramel brownie. Both were AMAZING and honestly the perfect thing to cure my sweet craving I was having. If I am ever dining in the area again soon I will definitely be stopping in to try some other flavors!

We have been coming here for a decade, and I cannot believe that I haven't reviewed Gelato Vero before. Well ... here goes. This is a small shop at the northern end of India Street in Mission Hills, well north of the crowds in Little Italy. Gelato Vero has the best gelato in San Diego IMHO, comparable to that found in Italy. Though the gelato selection is small, every flavor I've tried has been a winner!Service here is great. Everyone we've met behind the counter has been friendly and helpful. This is a very small shop with a handful of tables inside and out. Street parking only, which can be difficult in this neighborhood.
