Garibaldi is all about the view! I'd definitely recommend visiting during their 'sunset hour' where you can order the Amati Fizz for only $6! We tried to get a table by walking up, but the hostess said there was 'nothing available' while looking at her IPad. We then walked away and made a reservation on our phone... and then were seated in 15 minutes. Make it make sense. After the encounter with the hostess, the services was attentive and friendly.I would stick to the sunset menu, as the food was mediocre and came out cold. I would not order the pizza, it lacked flavor and toppings.

I happened to find this speakeasy gem while looking on Google for a an outdoor dining spot. This speakeasy is located in the Intercontinental Hotel and views are spectacular!Happy Hour (until Sunset):Garibaldi Oysters - OMG the smoked trout caviar takes this to the next level. Unbelievably delicious. Tartare di Tonno - This dish was fresh & spicy!Calamari Fritto Misto - Nice crisp on the calamari and green beans.Torta Gattopardo - This was surprisingly light and flavorful. Amati Frizz - I loved this refreshing drink so much that I ordered two!Free validated parking for 3 hours if you spend at least 50 dollars. They will be remodeling this restaurant to incorporate Turkish cuisine into their menu! I'm excited to see the new decor when they're done. Can't wait to come back to experience this. Customer service was great and good came out quick. Definitely a must do in the summer.

Thank you to Garibaldi Management and staff for such a great time on April 13, 2024.Our host the beautiful and charming Avery was really helpful, attentive and nice, not pretentious, condescending or aloof like many hostesses are.David was our server and he was so kind, so nice, so on the ball with everything it made our special occasion wonderful. The manager who came by watched our table of 14 his name was MJ and he helped whenever our party needed something when David wasn't there. We had a bit of a high maintenance table and the two of them and the bussers were excellent. The food was yummy but the kitchen needs to lay off the heavy handed chili flakes. You can always add more chili flakes yourself if you ask for it on the side, but you can't take it off the food when it's mixed in so heavily. It overpowers the food when you have that much chili flakes, especially in both the pasta dish and the tuna tartare. The rolls, grandma pie and vegetarian pizza were delicious, with thick but fluffy crust in small bite size pieces. The salads were wonderful fresh and colorful. The charcuterie board was excellent with the chorizo pate. The view is really lovely and they accommodated us to an interior window table when the weather would not allow us to sit in the sofa, balcony seating area.Everyone had a really good time from 4 PM till 6 PM and would definitely come back here in July for another special event. Thank you to the staff of Garibaldi!Keep up the great work, cocktails were excellent as was the desert. They went above and beyond to go to Vistal to get us a chocolate cake when that was not expected and that is what you call "Great service."

There's something funny about calling a place a speakeasy when you can see it from the street. Garibaldi is "hidden" behind Vistal in the Intercontinental. Follow the fish and look for the little Vespa towards your entrance. The restaurant has a beautiful patio and even if it isn't quite secretive, the views are amazing! We made reservations around sunset and were seated on along the railing so we got a prime view of the sun hitting the water. From day to night, the view is beautiful and another reminder of why I love this city so much. The food was good. We had some interesting and unique dishes and enjoyed them all!

Went here on a Friday evening for a friends birthday. We were a big group of 9. I guess this is a speakeasy bar/ restaurant? They brought us through the halls where the walls were decorated with intricate paintings of the Garibaldi Fish with our seating very intimate for our party. From the beginning through the end of our dinner our server did an exceptional job at tending to our needs. He also offered to take pictures of us out on the patio, and for that this place deserves a 5/5.Along with the service, all the food tasted amazing. I ordered the Malloredus Pasta and just for $7 you can add a steak. I throughly enjoyed my meal. I also ordered a whiskey sour just to go with my meal. They also have a bar outdoors that overlooks the bay front. My friend ordered the music sheet bread and it had so many divine flavors which I think everyone should try as an app. Overall amazing restaurant and this place would be very good for dates or just an intimate night out.

Actually, we are on our way to Vistal and when we went to go check in, we heard about the speakeasy Garibaldi's... so excited we said yes and here we are. OK ambience. It's a die for and even though it's in a hotel giving sentence mostly to visitors San Diegans, you must come here. It's a rooftop restaurant overlooking the bay and it has everything from tables to couches to swings . The waitstaff especially Tyler, was amazing and went another way to make sure that we had an amazing time while we were here. We had the oysters which I might confess maybe the best I've ever had. We did have the yellowtail tartare wood could've been a little bit more flavorful, but we followed it by a meat and cheese platter, which was beautiful.. we have everything from a bottle of champagne to express the martinis to their famous Negroni. Being Sicilian, I really appreciate everything about their food and their drinks. if you were looking for dozen so you won't find it here, but you will find good drinks made by good bartenders and they put a lot of passion time into their craft... we will definitely be back. I came here for my birthday today and I absolutely loved it! Although it was a gloomy evening, the view was still so beautiful. Our waiter, David, was so kind and so attentive to us. We were originally seated outside and given a blanket, which is super nice!! But once it started getting chilly and windy, David seated us inside with just a wonderful view as outside! The food and drinks were so good! I had the gnocchi dish and it was absolutely heavenly!! I had their old fashioned, which was to perfection and the seaside cocktail, which was so refreshing and tasty after the hearty meal! Would definitely recommend and will definitely come back during a sunny warm day!! Thank you David!

Easily made a 5pm reservation on a Saturday. There's no signage on arrival, so keep a lookout for the orange fish that's on their website and a patio with orange furniture. There's also no signage in the elevator, and, unfortunately, I cannot remember if we got off at the 3rd or 4th floor. After asking around, we learned that they consider Garibaldi to be a speakeasy and we were asked to wait at the Vespa in the lobby. From there, someone guided us to the outdoor patio. Our group was the only one there for a period; people are missing out on a nice view and good drinks. I had a creamy espresso martini type drink and the presentation of another drink in a birdcage was quite unique. I only tried the opah meatballs; I think they had ricotta so they were quite light in texture but I missed any fish texture or taste. All the portions were large.

SanDiego-- if you're looking for a fun, outdoor rooftop SPEAKEASY thats known for amazing unique cocktails, you need to go find and catch Garibaldi -- located inside the Intercontinentalsd hotel !! The views of the bay were stunning and the vibes were everything-- let's talk food and drinks:Cocktails-- 1. Sofia and Rose comes in a beautiful birdcage served in a fun bathtub looking glass that literally tastes like a rose water old fashioned-- highly recommended for my Instagram foodies and def not for the weak ! 2. Fragola Frappe is super refreshing and reminds me of a strawberry mint mojito-- YUM . 3. Lemon Lychee was my absolute FAV-- such a unique flavor and hits the spot . Perfect for a foodie's palette . 4. Garibaldi Riff-- so flavorful and such eye candy-- like a melon-y tangerin-ey DREAM . Starters--1. Sheet Music Bread-- sheep's milk ricotta, olive oil, black pepper, preserved lemon, white sturgeon caviar-- WOW . The textures melted away in your mouth and I could to NOT stop eating it !! The caviar was the perfect amount of salty that popped beautifully in the mouth . 2. Two Sheet Lasagna Verde--kelp infused pasta, pecorino sardo, bechamel, beef bolognese-- Don't let it's looks deceive you, this one was my fav dish of the ENTIRE NIGHT . There's just something about the thin crispy layer that married gorgeously with the bolognese sauce-- I died and came back to life with this one . I want more right now . Mains--1. Malloreddus--sardinian gnocchetti, wagyu beef bolognese, pecorino sardo, petite basil-- the mini gnocchetti were so cute and fun to eat . The sauce was very flavorful; definitely a must try for pasta lovers ! 2. Entrecote Di Manzo-- 22oz #primerib roast, blistered tomatoes, marjoram, salmoriglio-- a meat lovers paradise . The rib was roasted to a perfect medium-rare and was super-uber juicy, rich, and flavorful . Recommend this one for sharing for sure ! I loveeed the blistered tomatoes . Dessert-- I didn't have any more room in my belly for dessert, but the menu sounded delicious . Maybe I'll be back soon to to a dessert tasting ?! Sonny was our server and he was great . He gave me a lot of recommendations for the best drinks !! He also gave us a quick background about Sardinian food-- so cool ! As far as parking goes-- there's an ACE parking lot right in the hotel . If you're able to self-park, then the restaurant can validate your ticket for a few hours . If there's an event happening, or if the parking lot is full-- there's an option for valet ! Other than that, it was a grand old time . The sunset was gorgeous, the drinks were tasty, and the atmosphere was vibin'-- I would definitely recommend this spot !

My daughter and I went to Garibaldi to celebrate her starting her college chapter. The manager MJ was great as were the wait staff. The food was delicious. The view of the water, downtown, and the beautiful patio lights created a lovely atmosphere. Overall a wonderful experience!!
