Delicious food and drinks!Service can be slow so be patient. I've tried multiple dishes and they were all great plus they make a great Carajillo!

What a great spot in Eastlake. I stopped by to have dinner with a friend, and we were seated quickly. The restaurant seems busy and love that they had live music. Our server was ok. He was slow to take our order, etc. Food: Complimentary BreadCheese Wheel - Linguine Pasta with ShrimpProsciutto E Burrata Calamari FrittiThe prosciutto burrata was amazing. The saltiness from the meat and combined with the burrata was delicious. The calamari was cooked perfectly and tender. The pasta was amazing. I loved that it was prepared in the cheese wheel and prepared what should have been table side. We added shrimp, and it, too, was great. Now, the negative about the cheese wheel, unfortunately, the position of our table prohibited the server/cook to prepare it in front of us. He made it in the middle of the room about 10 feet away from us. Boo!!!!!! Overall, it's a great neighborhood spot. Thanks to my friend for introducing me to this restaurant.

I was invited there for brunch on Mother's Day. Usually it's not a great day to judge the usual performance of a restaurant because they are often extremely busy. However, when we arrived, the restaurant was only half filled. Let me say that the food was excellent, but the service was abominable. Not the service by the waitstaff, but the food runners and the kitchen. We were a party of 6. Prior to ordering our meals, we ordered drinks. Unfortunately, one of the food runners knocked over a mimosa and it went flying all over my blouse and slacks. There was no offer to pay to have my blouse cleaned or a deduction on the check. Then the food arrived. Four of us were served together while the remaining 2 had to wait about 15 minutes longer for their food for no apparent reason. So the four had to eat while the 2 could only watch. Not quite a celebratory meal. Had I been the one paying, there would have been no tip. The waitress did nothing wrong, but how else can you express your displeasure with the service. The manager on duty made no effort to check in with the guests. Shame on him/her. I have noted that the management of this establishment usually does not comment on the reviews, but I felt that I just had to put this out there.

What a great spot here Gabratella Osteria So nice to see such a nice newer Italian Resturant here. Music happens on Thursdays thru Sunday Full bar & and a cute coffee & gelato, & bread and dry pasta's Italian treats too We had a Happy hour menu1pm to 5pm every day expect Sunday Jose our server was great quick and helpful tooWe are coming back again maybe for brunch soon!! We enjoy our lunch!! I can't say enough about the big pizza red huge ovensThey have a a great hot ovens and good dough rolled out thin like we like it. The sauce was rich and flavorful that's what made for us!! On our pizza My friend Susan said the same too. we ordered a Margarita Pizza very good hot and thin crust simple but with fresh ingredients you tasted all the amazing flavor's with your first biteThe salad was good fresh with strawberries an cranberry's and goat cheese we had it on the side because not everyone likes goat cheese Pesto GENOVESE had a beautiful pesto sauce it was perfecto! And the barrita was good too But the pistachio cake was delicious so light and creamy at the same time It had a later of pistachio cream and later of Ricotta cheese So darn good!! Best Italian food in San Diego! I've been to Garbatella many many times and for different occasions and every time it has been great. The food is divine, the drinks are amazing and they are always super attentive. They have live music and offer a brunch menu on weekends. There's tons of parking too since it's located inside the mall!

Finally tried Garbatella Osteria this weekend and it was super delicious I will for sure go back! We loved everything we ordered. Really great service! I loved the relaxing good music playing. Nice open floor plan and super clean. Not crazy overpriced. Really great experience. I have no idea what took me so long to try it! My son ate our leftovers and was raving about it! I had the mushroom cream Italian sausage penne and it was super flavorful my husband had the shrimp pizza and he absolutely loved it he said the shrimp was so succulent! Highly Recommend. I did ask for marinara instead of tartar sauce for the calamari fritti, it was perfect! Large parking lot.Was seated quickly for a Sunday.Large wine selection.

This place is a gem in our neighborhood. The food is amazing. The atmosphere of the place is welcoming and friendly. It's cool seeing the food getting made with the open kitchen and the cheese wheel pasta gets made in front of you. Also, don't skip dessert!

The food is good very savory. We liked the live music too! For the ambiance it's 10/10!!!My only complaint is they took our truffle fries without even asking if we're still working on it. We're still enjoying it and we still have more than half of our truffle fries and

I really enjoyed the food. Service was pretty good too although at times I did feel the wait staff may have been over worked. Our server was great at giving recommendations. Parking was easy which I value. We had the pistachio cake dessert. It did not meet my expectations based on the other reviews I'd read. Honestly, it tasted a little old. All and all the food was good. Also they charge for bread which I think is a poor practice. The restaurant itself still has a new fresh feeling.

(7/28/2023 - Friday)My date was so sweet to allow me to select an Italian restaurant of my choice. I browsed online to have found "Garbatella Italiano." Thank you for creating the PERFECT romantic Italian dinner date for us in Chula Vista.I'm a foodie & it was exciting to have found out that they held their "Grand Opening" this past March.My date & I enjoyed each other's company as we savored their Pepperoni Pizza & Boscaiola pasta while we sipped on Lemoncello Gin Collins.The Boscaiola pasta was comprised of cream, Italian sausage, mushrooms, white wine, crushed pepper, & parsley. Every bite of my Boscaiola pasta was immensely rich in flavorThe ambiance was perfect. We both enjoyed the live entertainment from Roman Palacios. Be sure to visit this restaurant on Fridays, when there's free live entertainment. Be sure to make reservations ahead of time!!
