Gannon's Pub

Had a visit to another Lincoln Park dive bar. It's not that much of one but it's as divy as you can get there it seems. Gannon's has a mix of Irish and other themes going on pretty much. More known for the drinks such as the beers on tap and some mules that are refreshing. The food is pretty basic stuff like pretzels, wings, and those types of things. Came in at lunch and it wasn't that busy for a weekend at least. It has a pretty good amount of space inside and out. There's a beer garden in the back open for summer. It's about $10 for a cocktail. Pretty good stuff like the Irish Mule, made with Jameson. Basic food on the menu however. There's greasy stuff like burgers and that if you want. It's $8 to get a couple of Jumbo Soft Pretzels. These are good to munch on with beer or whatever. Also they have cheese curds. These greasy things are among the good things for sharing. Get some great beers on tap and some cocktails. It has a pretty basic food menu. There's burgers, pretzels, and whatever.

Yikes! Came in with a group to celebrate a friend's birthday and catch the Illini game. Our first bartender was great but something went wrong when the shift changed. First, apparently, when the game was on the jukebox got turned down instead of off so about $25 of my hard earned money evaporated into thin air. When I realized what happened and asked the bartender instead of working out a solution the bartender promptly cut me off. (I had had a very reasonable number of light beers and food, I promise I wasn't being belligerent. I know how to be a jerk and this time I wasn't.) Whatever, fine, so I attempt to close out and the tab doesn't add up! The total is literally a different number than the subtotal plus tax! So I ask about this and that doesn't go over well either. Paid and left feeling a bit robbed and with two regulars trying to physically intimidate me and others in my party. Very strange, would not recommend.

Solid joint! We popped in here for a pop before a haircut, and since that turned out really well, I will definitely be back again next time my hairs need cutting.Cute, friendly bartender kept my boyfriend company while I was off at said haircut. I came back, and we hung out some more, because it was so fun! Then we got into an incredibly fun conversation with other patrons about travel and stayed LONGER.Great neighborhood vibe. Friendly, cute, fun staff. WILL RETURN 100%.

Best fish n chips I've had in Chicago. No frills, straight forward. I have eaten at Gannon's several times but decided to order the dinner from doordash.... Risky business. Gannon's did not disappoint. Fish and chips were piping hot. Sauces were on point. Everything was crispy to perfection and the portion was enough for two meals. I Love Gannon's!

Ordered delivery. Got a burger and fries. The only part of it fit for human consumption was the side pickles. The burger and fries tasted way off. Like fishy tasting. I do not know what that can be attributed to, although it probably means old frier oil and dirty grill. Who knows? The burger was cooked properly and perfect, however.

First time here and if the rest of the staff is anything like this amazingly knowledgeable incredibly inclusive human, then this is your new fucking spot.

Customer service is outstanding- they make you feel like family. Wings are delicious! Nice hidden neighborhood gem!

One of the best burgers in the city. The fries are fantastic. Solid beer selection. A friendly and on it staff that adds to the experience. Tyler and Teah (sp) are both great. This is my favorite place when I'm in the city! Can't wait to head back.

Horrible service- people of colour stay away!A friend and I popped in for drinks and NBA playoffs. Suddenly, the TV we were watching was abruptly turned to baseball, and only one TV for our game- fine that's all we need. We ordered wings to eat, nothing special just wings. A full family came in after we already had our drinks. They were noticeable since they had loud kids. Long story short, that family not only received their entire dinner AND finished before we got our long forgotten about wings that were hastily warmed a second time-40 mins after we ordered. When we asked why it took so long and how an entire family was served before us the server said "they were backed up due to Doordash". Whatever, subtle hints our presence was not welcome.
