The food was spot on. Had the NY Strip and the the Brussel sprouts. Service was perfect. They were everywhere and nowhere at same time. Didn't notice them around yet when needed they were standing at your table. 5 stars . Well done Gannons!

Greeted by super tall ceilings, a live jazz band, you are really thrown back into the Roaring 20s here. Ordered Lobster Bisque, Oysters and Prime rib. The Lobster Bisque was decent, maybe 6 pieces of small lobster meat and was thick and creamy. Oysters were the gulf oysters I think, pretty big. Some had sand in them still, so that could have been better. Was expecting better prime rib here. The prime rib was a bit tough to eat, and was pretty flavorless. The horseradish sauce helped a bit, but really could have used a more acidic sauce. I would've ordered more sauce, but it was $6 and didn't feel like sinking the ship more. Not sure if the prime rib was that good tbh. It is a generous portion though.I had terrible service, had to flag down the waiter many times and took me maybe 10 min after I was done eating to just get my bill, and another 5 min to get it processed.

I was in Nashville for a week for business. I had lunch and dinner out every day. Mostly nothing to write home about. But. Then I ate at Gannons. It's right in the super touristy district, which is usually a warning, it's in a Courtyard Marriott, not the pinnacle of hotels. But when you get there it's an old converted bank building and it's beautiful. It FEELS like a steakhouse should feel. We got the Prime Rib. It is my own personal best dish that I cook. It has been a rare occasion that a restaurant does it better than I do at home after 30 years of holidays for my family. But this place has me beat. We got the two bone pork chop. It's enough to feed two grown men with some meat on the bones for your dog! The boudin it's served on should be a dish by itself. The ceviche was wonderful, the oysters were plump and the cocktails were strong. I talked it up so much at my business meeting the next day that a few of my colleagues went the night after. They reported the same thing! The tourist areas is a S show. But it's worth navigating the circus.

My husband and I went for the 1st time on our anniversary. The service and food were excellent, we received complimentary champagne for the occasion. The lobster bisque was exceptionally great and the steaks are very good. The place was very classy and had live music going, very soft smooth jazz type which was great because you can still have a conversation. They have valet parking. My only suggestion would be to have white table clothes to truly classy it up big time but I totally understand why they don't from a business point of view.

First time coming here. My husband wanted to try a new restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. Valet was a bit pricey; however, my husband was able to find street parking near the restaurant that's was inexpensive and a very short walk (he dropped me off at the restaurant so I didn't have to walk ;) ).It's not a large restaurant but the vibe was very demure, very classy (iykyk). Our waiter Max was great, my husband is vegan so he made sure he was accommodated.I ordered the Oyster Rockefeller, which was one of the best I have ever had, very delish. My entree I had the prime rib. It was a little more fatty than I like but it was cooked to perfection. My husband ordered mushrooms and they gave him a choice bt a tomato base pasta or olive oil. He chose the olive oil and it was packed with yummy veggies and artichokes. He really enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend and I can't wait to come back!

I rarely leave a review. For Gannons this is a must! Both the atmosphere and food were unforgettable. For apps we enjoyed the oysters. For dinner I enjoyed the Surf & Turf with a glass of Justin. My wife got the swordfish. Both dishes were very savory. We also shared the brussels sprouts. HAPPY MOUTHS! We were also visited by chef Gannons who was pleasant and inviting. This is a restaurant you want to call "your place". BRAVO! They also validate parking for the 4th & Commerce parking garage.

What an amazing meal. Mark, our server was awesome. He's been there from the opening. He gave us excellent suggestions. He told us about the history of the building and then pointed out the custom features of the architecture. Gannon, the chef, came out and chatted with us at the beginning of our meal and then checked in with us at the end of our meal. He even sat down at our table! So cool. I had the best rack of lamb I've ever had. I've had it all over the world, but this is the best. Really good Old Fashioned. Jazz music at 7:30 was killer. Everything about this place was 5-stars. Can't wait to visit Nashville again and come back here.

Ambiance is great here, especially if you're looking for that speakeasy, Great Gatsby vibe. Loved that they had a local jazz ensemble playing piano, base and drums, it really added to the whole atmosphere. Our server Chelsea was great, very timely and quick. The manager of the house looked me up and down as to say I wasn't dressed nice enough even though I was in business casual and he only seemed to concern himself with larger "higher spend" tables. I watched him greet a few tables and ask how their experience was going but never once did he do that with us. The food is good, but really only had one thing to write home about and it was the duck confit empanadas. They were huge, stuffed with duck confit and had an amazing flavor to them. Otherwise, we spent $14 on a lobster bisque that had no real pieces of lobster in it and a lack of sherry flavor, a $58 filet that was your typical steak. The Bogart cocktail was very good and with the $15 and the white Malbec was a new find for me and I loved it. The charcuterie was really big and had eight different cheeses and four different meats to try which was great. All in all, it was good, their menu is attempting to live up to their atmosphere which I think it falls a bit short of, but it's not terrible. House manager needs to work on being more welcoming to everyone.

This has to be the biggest hidden gem in Nashville. Gannons came up during a random Yelp search I was conducting. I decided to give it a try. My bf and I was seeing a show at TPAC and walked over to Gannons afterwards. Our reservation was for 5:30pm, but they were able to get us in at 5pm. The entire staff was amazing. Our waiter Mark went over and beyond to make sure our visit was amazing. Please ask for him if you go.The main star of our meal was the pork chop with a peach glaze. Just when I thought Urban Grub and Perry's had the best pork chop in town. The pork chop was 20 out of 10. It was prepared perfect with its juices still in tact. The peach glaze was an added bonus. I also enjoyed the cream spinach. How could I forget about the Brie oysters I had as a starter. Please forgive me, talk about a flavor parade. Oysters Rockefeller who, it's all bout the Brie . Overall, this is the perfect date night for an elevated intimate dinner.
