This place is solid. Definitely a step above the other Brazilian steakhouses. Nice ambiance, very very quick service. It probably only took 5-10 minutes after I arrived to have my plate full of food which is nice since other establishments you'd probably have to wait. Some items we loved were the chicken hearts, grilled pineapple, shrimp, beef ribs, picanha and ribeye.

Great service and plenty of selection. Remember to ask for items that are not always walked around or at the self-serve station. We asked for their salmon and they came out with it. Enjoyed a great dinner her with some close friends and we were impressed. We never had to wait, food was delicious, service was awesome. Thanks for a great night!

So far this Brazilian steak house leads the pack. When stacked up against other styles/ brands, Galpão Gaucho brings authenticity to the experience as most of their staff speak Portuguese fluently and are from Brazil. My wife a native Brazilian and her family came here for dinner and had an amazing experience. The communication in both Portuguese and English was flawless. The wait staff was attentive and the speed in which they brought new cuts of meat was spot on. The ambiance of the restaurant was peaceful despite so much going on. Even during rush hour we didn't find ourselves having to yell at each other over our meal. As for the meat. No issues. Zero. Everything was cooked perfectly and they had plenty of options when it came to how well or rare you wanted your meat. The chicken and port wasn't dry and the different cuts of Picanha... amazing.Give it a try if you're local or visiting. I've been there 3 times within the past 2 months due to different events and they impressed us every time!

Amazing food & service! Wonderful ambience. The appetizers, drinks everything was delicious! We went for my husband's birthday and he loved it. The complimentary dessert for his birthday was probably the best tres leches cake him & I both have had. Very good. A+ and we will definitely be back. The only downside of our visit was parking.. It is located in seaport village with lots of different restaurants and so it's just a very busy area.. We went on a Saturday night so the parking was horrendous lol. So just prepare for that & you'll enjoy your visit!

Great location great staff. This is the second location we visited. The first one was in Vegas. It did not disappoint the price point was higher than the Vegas location. Staff did great checking in and providing requests for different meats. Had drinks which were also great. Make sure you come hungry and eat your money's worth.

Stopped in before a concert after discovering that the Cheesecake Factory had an hour-long wait. Galpão Gaucho was hands down the best surprise ever. I've never eaten at a Brazilian steakhouse in-person, so I deeply appreciated the clear instructions from the staff members upon arrival. From the service to the food to the overall vibe, everything was absolutely stellar. I completely believe that I had some of the best food that I've eaten in my life at this establishment. Particular shoutouts to the filet mignon, grilled pineapple, grilled cheese, and their new gold leaf steak (apologies; I cannot remember the proper name). Meats were perfectly cooked to my liking. The breads, sides, and everything on the salad bar were all delicious. We also had a Brazilian rum-based iced coffee that was superb and made right in front of us (photo below!), and the creme brûlée was a perfect accompaniment to this drink. I don't usually drink coffee, but I would drink this any day.Word for the wise: ask about prices upfront. Truly, it was worth every penny, but the bill was a bit of a surprise for us. We anticipated that it would be expensive, but as broke graduate students, we definitely could have used the heads up (i.e., prices for the buffet and all-you-can-eat meats are *not* listed on the menu). Also, for vegetarians, please note that the salad bar, pineapple, and grilled cheese are great, and they won't charge you for the meat, *but* my partner noted that she felt like her options were a bit limited

Great ambience.Came here Father's Day. We circled a few times looking for parking at the Seaport Village but the lots were full. We got blessed and found a free parking across the street by the residential area. Definitely a great experience to try at least once. I saw in some reviews that they mentioned staff was very friendly. I didn't exactly see that. They were helpful but most staff there were just busy going around the tables offering whatever meat they have. Instructions were pretty straightforward. Green card up if you want the meats coming. Red if you want to take a break, or want some salad. They have chicken, pork sausage, salmon, shrimp, rib eye, flank steak, filet mignon, sirloin... etc. my least favorite i'd say was the pork sausage. Everything else was good, tender enough, flavorful. It could be a little bit juicier but overall, it was a great experience.

This restaurant is located in Seaport village, next to Cheesecake Factory. I noticed this location after eating at cheesecake, knowing we needed to try this place. Luckily, my son wanted to do Brazilian for his birthday, and making reservations was super simple. They are available for reservations on open table or through Yelp.We were greeted and sat immediately, and our table was located right by the kitchen. We were asked if we had been to a Brazilian restaurant before or if we had been to that location, and the server described how it works. We were soon off to scour the salad bar, which included soup, rice, beans, as well as salads and cheeses, and meats. However, We were eager to get started on the meat. They had 17 options available ranging from seafood, beef, pork, and chicken, and we were excited to try it all! Who knew that fresh fried cheese was going to hit the spot! So much so that we must've had 3 or 4 servings! I only have 1 restaurant that compares, and while I didn't care for all the meat choices (parmesan stuffed pork was a little overcooked and chicken once it gets cold, the sausage was good but I like the other place better) the seafood options, cheese and multiple chicken and beef options takes the cake. Being mindful, I believe that costs are around $55 for lunch and $75 for dinner. Holiday prices are $75 per person all day. I'm not sure the difference between lunch and dinner as online. It states that all 17 options are available for both. The service was top-notch! Decor is upscale, but I saw customers in dress down attire. Staff was welcoming and friendly and made us feel like top guests! Munchkin even got a free cake for his birthday!

This is one of the newest Brazilian Steakhouses in San Diego. And it's the best one I've ever been to.The service is beyond spectacular and stellar. Attentive wait staff and more than ample seating throughout the restaurant. Reservations are highly recommended. The Spicy Pancante Steak is by far the best option for meat. I also recommend the bacon wrapped filet menjon and garlic crusted pork. Trust me when I say you won't leave hungry and you'll be coming back for more. All of the cuts of meat they offer are on point and well worth the price of admission (pardon the pun) It has become my fiancé's and mines go to for Brazilian BBQ. They have gained customers for life.10/10 stars.
