Galos Flame Grilled Chicken

I had seen Galos written up in the TNT awhile back, so have been wanting to get a chance to try them out. We were attending the Tacoma Symphony just down the street this past weekend, so took the opportunity to visit beforehand.The menu is very well displayed, and provides some great options. The sauce selection is decent! I opted for the half-chicken order with a side of onion rings, and my partner ordered the Double Leg-wing combo. Both items were delicious! The Lemon Galo sauce is great, and the Medium Galo sauce had just the right level of spice. The meat was moist & tender, and the portions were generous.I found the staff to be quite friendly & helpful. Parking was a bit of a challenge, but there is a decent parking garage within walking distance.

Lost a regular customer with their price increases. A galos bowl with shrimp is now 20 dollars. Save your money and might as well go to a sit down with those insane prices. Oh, and not to mention they sold me 1 year expired bottled galos sauce. Greedy business and does not check their condiments before selling to consumers. Lost my trust and my business.

Galos is a piri chicken chain restaurant. I was quite excited to try this place and got a takeout order. The chicken was quite plain but they have a variety of sauces to drench your bird in. Most sauces I found to be on the salty side. Rice and veggies were decent though!? Overall I was not very impressed and would not return here for the food.Location and ambiance were quite good so I've given an extra star for this. It sits in the UP plaza with Whole Foods.

I checked this place out because I was craving chicken and didn't want anything to greasy like fried chicken. So I typed grilled chicken in yelps and this gem popped up, located in the Whole Foods plaza. The places was empty but that didn't steer me away because I love chicken. It's really a great price, you get 6 whole wings not party wings for about $15. I got half lemon & half medium with a small peri fry. The wings have a zesty flavor to them. Next time I will get hot because the medium had no spicy to it at all. The fries were perfectly seasoned not salty at all. And not to mention there was a lady in the kitchen!! Will definitely be back.

My boyfriend and I first time trying this. The service is great. We got our foods on time. The foods is delicious. My boyfriend and I would definitely recommend to eat here again

I loved the food at Galos! We arrived right at lunch time- food took a bit but it was cooked fresh. I tried the piri chicken bowl with the lemon piri- the flame grilled chicken and vegetables were delicious! We also shared some fried mushrooms- really good!! This will be on my rotations for lunch spots!

We stopped in on a very hot (for Tacoma) evening because we didn't want to cook. We ordered the Pairing (for two) with a kale salad and garlic bread (lemon piri) as well as a breast and a wing (medium piri). There appeared to be only two people working, someone at the counter and a cook. We were the only people in the restaurant so the staffing seemed appropriate. The young lady at the counter was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was very clean when we walked in - pretty clear that one of them was keeping up on the cleaning. The food pretty quickly. The garlic was toasted halves of buns exactly as advertised. :-) The kale salad looked great and the chicken was tasty. The piri seasoning is much more evident on the wings than the breast (probably because it's a much thicker piece of meat). The citrus dressing on the kale salad was very good - we all liked it. Galos is a great stop for some grilled chicken and sides.

Never tried Bliss before and it was closed, but I saw this place and it smelled amazing. Greeted immediately and then waited nearly 15 minutes for my food. There was one other couple in here too. Otherwise one hostess and a cook. I saw food finally in the window and then it just sat there. Another few minutes went by and the cook who was in no hurry and the other girl on the phone, the food just sat there. I almost got up to get it and the cook it to the other couple. Then she started preparing my food. Overall the food was tasty, but expensive for the portions. But the amount of time I waited in the restaurant was a bit ridiculous. Oh well thankfully I don't pass by here much.

Chicken was dry and overcooked. The service was terrible. Two staff working in restaurant and no customers.Woman who took our order was extremely rude and lacked any kind of customer service.Very disheartening experience.

The good: Clean and nice atmosphere The bad: Took 30 mins to get food. The chicken piri bowl tasted like a frozen meal heated up in a microwave. Bland and flavorless chicken. Soggy vegetables. Hard undercooked rice. I should have asked for a refund, but instead we ate a few bites and left. Won't be back.
