Just move to the neighborhood and so excited to find this great Gem. Such a fun and cool place, with a nice patio and misters. Our server Holly was super nice and had great recommendations. We had the chilaquiles with barbacoa and it was delicious, also had the flatjacks Cajete and they were amazing. Love that everything is from scratch and fresh. The juices for the drinks are made in house so it made my Apple (can't remember the name) cocktail super delicious. Can't wait to go back!

Yes yes yes! There is so much to love about Gallo Blanco! I live contemporary art, and this place is like a really great art gallery. There is something great you see and appreciate on every wall. The food is fantastic. I had never heard of a campechano burrito, but am sooo glad I in know now. It is delicious! We also had the family style tacos, which was the perfect size for us. The prices are reasonable for the quality.Gallo Blanco will be at the top of my list from now on!

Where to begin? Outdoor seating where the copious amounts of flies were more attentive than the wait staff. When we asked for another "fan," the confused wait staff member....looking perplexed... brought us another "fan" that didn't work. She saw it didn't work but just left it at out table anyway. We had to borrow another working fan from a different table. On to the food....Never had Chilaquiles serves on tostadas. Also, most other places serve chilaquiles with a thicker sauce. Imagine my surprise when I was served eggs, with barbacoa, sitting on tostada shells, swimming in soup. Never been so disappointed in breakfast dish in my life. My wife had the huevos rancheros. She complained of the odd flavor of the tortillas. She said it was reminiscent of masa that was made from hose water. Overall horrible experience.

Great food! Service is a bit slow but the place is super cute. I had the tamale breakfast they only make on the weekends. Sooooo good! My daughter had the vegetarian pozole and it was phenomenal. Prices are good. Chips, salsas, and guac were also good. We'll be back to try dinner sometime!

This is my first time in Phoenix and we found this place on a reddit thread searching for brunch. The building is unassuming and kind of out of the way, but after breakfast here, I would definitely recommend the detour. The service was a little slow, but the food absolutely made up for it. The guac was good, and the salsas were absolutely phenomenal. I had the breakfast burrito, and it was maybe one of the best I've ever had. I also had the bloody Mary, which was great other than the fact that I didn't get any snacks with it like a pickle or olive (my usual reason for ordering a bloody Mary). Everything was so delicious I'm definitely going to be back next time I'm in town.

It's been a few years since I was last here so I was excited to go back and it did not disappoint. We were lucky to grab a table in the bar area without a reservation because it was busy. Service was great. Our server was attentive and quick. The chips, salsas and guacamole were as great as I remembered. The green salsa is to die for. So so good. The pozole hit the spot on a cold rainy day and the quesadilla was so flavorful and delicious. I remembered why I'd always loved this restaurant all over again. I will definitely be back.

We really enjoyed our visit tonight. We wanted dinner early for a variety of reasons and Gallo did not disappoint. The happy hour margaritas are the bomb, so don't miss out on those. I opted for 2 tacos (al pastor and the colorado) and hubs had an Al pastor burrito. We split an elote as well. He said 'this is among the best burritos I have ever eaten' so that is saying something. We just sat at the bar, bartender was super friendly and attentive. The lady next to us ordered the Pozole and it looked so good we ordered one to go for our lunch tomorrow. Happy hour margs are just $5. Don't miss it.Edit- OMG the Pozole!!! It was fabulous for lunch the next day. Huge serving- hubs and I couldn't eat the entire thing. They sent all the toppings and tortillas in separate containers so was super simple to heat, add the toppings and we had an amazing lunch.

Shrimp and Pork belly tacos are $4 extra. The shrimp is fine, it's seasoned well but nothing special. Pork belly pieces are dry, out of 4 pieces, one was not dry and chewy, and even the one piece was alright, still a little chewy and dry but not as bad as the others. Al pastor was the biggest sin, flavorless. Carne asada was the best and even then it was flavorful but once again, dry. Desserts were incredible though, tried one of each, something for everyone. definitely the best tres leches i've had, key lime tart was good but i personally am not a big fan, but i can see its appeal. churros were good, bread pudding was probably the worst but it wasn't bad by any means, just not my taste.
