Food (4/5 stars):We checked out the Escondido Street Fair and found Filipino food at Gabina's Cuisine! The BBQ Pork Plate came with a skewer, pancit, and 3 pieces of lumpia. The highlight was the marinade of the BBQ, but I was hoping for thicker and juicier pieces of meat. The lumpia was fried to perfection and very crispy. I wasn't a huge fan of the pancit though because it lacked flavor. Overall, it satisfied my craving for Filipino food!Experience (4/5 stars):* Price: it's a little pricey * Wait Time: minimal* Service: good

Went to Ocean Beach Farmers Market and had Gabina's Cuisine & Catering, it was delicious. I would go out of my way to come here.Got Lumpia and Turon, they were both amazing. It was my first time trying Turon and I really like it. I really liked the lumpia, I haven't tried that many but this is probably the best I've had. The outside was perfectly crispy and the inside was chewy and had the perfect amount of meat and thickness. Both of these orders are perfect to share between a few people. It's almost like a full meal for me if I were to eat them by myself. I need to try their other dishes, can't wait to come back. The farmers market is held every Wednesday by the beach. There are a couple blocks blocked off for this. Parking can be tough, you have to just find street parking around the homes. It gets really crowded so come early and give yourself time to find parking. Everyone is friendly. Prices are going to be more expensive but that's expected coming to a farmers market. Definitely a good idea to bring some cash, but I believe they also take card.

Really really amazing experience!!!They were THE most popular vendor at the 3rd Annual Filipino American Friendship today!! The line was always packed, waited about 30-40 minutes in line, but super worth it!Had the Adobo Plate and all-around an amazing meal! Delicious, fresh and flavorful!

The chicken adobo is on point and their BBQ chicken skewers are so tasty. Rice is cooked perfectly, not too sticky or uncooked at all. I've tried this vendor twice within the same week at different farmers' markets and food has always been fresh, besides the egg rolls. They were well seasoned, just not fresh so there was no crunch. Pancit (stir fried noodles) were okay. I am filipino myself and it makes me feel proud to see more representation in the community as far as cuisine. Overall, their food is delicious and if they were to open a restaurant, I'd become a regular customer. Within that setting, I'd be sure that their egg rolls would be made to order as well which would be great!

In town for vacation and Gabina's is the best food I've had so far here and in awhile. I got an order of Lumpia with the SS sauce and had to come back later for more to take home! Great flavor, not greasy. Delicious. Made my day and trip!

Gabina's was a vendor at the 2021 TASTE OF THE PHILIPPINES in San Diego. The line was the longest at the event. I ended up waiting about 50 minutes for a BBQ chicken plate and a side of BBQ pork. Overall, food was good. Pros:-accepts cash and cardCons:-they advertise that their plates come with rice and pancit, but they only gave rice. I would understand if they told customers this when they order, but they did not mention this at all. I would have ordered something different had I known.

Gabina's sure makes some tasty Filipino eats. Every time I see them, they have their grill fired up with some tasty Filipino meats on a stick being cooked up after their intensive marinade. That being said, that is what I had here, BBQ chicken skewer. The chicken is marinaded in a soy concoction with added seasonings which gives it great flavor. The meat offered that nice char flavor and was tender through out. It also had great color. Well done gents. They also offer ground pork lumpias, turon or banana fritters, veggie egg rolls, chicken adobo, and pancit. They offer all the good eats that Filipino cuisine has to offer and then some..The gents are always super friendly. You can find them at local Farmers' Markets and at the Lane Field Park Food Market on Sundays.

OMG- I have had a lot of filipino food here in SD County. A truckload of us family members went down to the Hawaiian Festival & Plumeria sales event down in Balboa park recently and I must say that these folks take the cake for BEST lumpia we have EVER had. Sadly, we are all from N. County and we are never in South Bay. Guys- please consider events in N. County too! You have changed our lives!
