Funky Burgers and Fries is a great spot! The burgers and fries were fresh and delicious, and the setting was nice with a chill vibe. The shake was a real showstopper. They have a limited selection of Pepsi products and Stubborn brand sodas, but there's a good variety of beer on tap. Overall, a fantastic experience!---

I'm not sure if the ingredients changed or what happened but I was a little underwhelmed.I got the buffalo Mac and cheese and it was just ok. Chocolate overload shake was also just ok.Would have been 3 stars based on food alone. Bumped to 4 stars because the staff was great. Courteous and friendly, patient. Ambience was ok. Warm inside but patio seating was nice

They have a big menu with a little something for everyone. I got the hangover burger. Very juicy and the hash browns were crispy. You have options for fries as well. They have a bunch of really extravagant desserts. Come check them out.

We were in SD for a friend son's event and found this local burger joint in El Cajon by our hotel. When we travel, we love exploring and trying new local restaurants. FF & Bs is a bit on the older side, and their menu fairly simple but extraordinary. The burgers are def gourmet and the milkshakes are a meal on their own. Definitely a recommendation to try at least once, but we're not too crazy about the prices... inflation is mental! 2 burgers, 2 sodas, and 1 order of fully loaded fries ran us $55.

This place is a must try for their shakes alone Sad they don't have the red velvet anymore but they got some other epic ones like the breakfast which I tried recently.I was sold on the fruity pebbles and pop tarts it came with, I didn't notice it also had mini pancakes and bacon lol it was literally breakfast in a shake and I was living for it.The pulled pork bbq burger is one of my faves as well as the bbq pulled pork fries.Definitely a worthwhile destination in San Diego county

Great little place in El Cajon with a unique menu. A varied selection for different tastes, yummy flavors that do not disappoint. Don't skip the fun dessert options, a favorite with our child. Our burgers and loaded fries were super good. Restaurant offers inside seating and a patio.

I got the Buffalo Mac n cheese chicken which i remember getting last time and it still tasted amazing ! We shared some mozzarella sticks which gave me an amazing cheese pull ! Finished with the chocolate overload which was crazy !! Definitely coming back lots of TVs inside and there is lots of seating inside and outside! They even have a full bar !! Cashier was helpful in helping me choose the items!

Sugey is one of the most awesomest cashiers and servers. She was so accommodating and friendly. We showed up in a big crowd and we decided to eat outside but we all individually ordered our own stuff. And what I ordered was so scrumptious. I got the buffalo Mac n cheese fries but instead I got buffalo sauce on the side and tator tots and it was bussin!!! Wow the portion size was humongous. I could not even finish a quarter of it. But I'm so glad they were able to accommodate our large size group. I will be coming back solo next time. I want to try other stuff on the menu.

My employer had Funky Fries (El Cajon) catered in for an employee appreciation lunch.Three guys showed up and put together an outdoor kitchen. Complete with a flattop, grill and even a deep fryer for the French fries.Once the kitchen was assembled, the Three Musketeers (Three Amigos?, Tres Hombres?) got to work. One was burgers and buns, one was fries and the third was assemble/serve. It was quite the efficient and smooth operation. Pretty basic stuff. Burgers with or without cheese and fries. They set out a condiment station with sliced tomato, iceberg lettuce (excellent that it was leaf not shredded), red onions and dill pickle slices. They also offered ketchup, yellow mustard, BBQ sauce and ranch dressing in large squeeze bottles.I had a cheeseburger and topped it with lettuce and pickles. I chose BBQ sauce for top bun and mustard for the bottom. It was served with a very generous heap of fries. I had some ranch with the fries and it tasted house made. It did not taste like Sysco stuff. The ranch was really good. The BBQ sauce was tasty as well. The burger was good. Nothing too memorable. It was reminiscent of a good backyard BBQ burger. It was a thick patty and cooked to a nice temp. It was still a little pink in the center and juicy. The cheese was American slices and melted nicely on top. I liked that they grilled the bun. The fries were hot and crispy. Pretty good lunch. The fact that it was free made it that much better.
