Considering Fuki my newest hidden gem! My friends brought me here for a birthday dinner and I can confidently say we were all pleasantly surprised. We weren't sure what to expect but this experience was right in every way. They offered a value set that was composed of 4 courses for $48 and you get to pick some of your preferences. The first course was 3 sample sizes of sushi apps, followed by a hot appetizer, then a sashimi bowl, a roll of your choice AND a dessert. Talk about a steal?? Everything was so fresh and delicious. It actually just kept getting better with each course. I also tried their butterfly lychee drink and it was very good as well. The icing on top was that they offered a birthday roll!! I got to create my own roll and give it a name. Coolest thing ever. The workers were also so so sooo friendly and welcoming. Interior was clean, modern, aesthetic and colorful. I'll be back!!

I'm from LA, so I wasn't totally sure what to expect from Boston sushi, but I have to say I think Fuki was pretty bomb. Got a sushi and sashimi deluxe dinner in addition to scallop and unagi and everything tasted super fresh with solid portions for the price. The restaurant decor was also much nicer than I expected although I didn't really have any expectations about that. I would have to say the highlight of the experience though were my servers Robin and Lindsay. Robin made great drinks and both offered great service and conversation while I ate at the bar. Would be back if I'm in Boston again.

Yes! Yes! And Yes!!We stumbled upon Fuki by last minute luck...after our first didn't cut it. My child said, "he was too dressed and felt too cute to sit through"causal dining." So, we Yelped Plan B. Also because it was Mother's Day, so, I was down for whatever!We got there and had to wait for an empty table. Ended up getting a high stool with two chair by the door. Wasn't psyched by it, but was starving. No regrets, whatsoever. Even though they forgot to make my main meal and served me only my veggie Tempura appetizer [miscommunication], they quickly went back and made it happen!A gem! Went here as a walk in because I was craving sashimi as a mid day snack. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed my food s well as the presentation. I spent the rest of the week thinking of their sashimi and then decided to get it delivered for dinner. And once again enjoyed every piece of food! I plan to try it in person along with some sake next time but this may be my new favorite sushi place in town.

I had this sushi takeout and had waited an hour or so before I ate it, which I wanted to take into account for the review. I got the love boat (shared with two people) which was more than enough! I thought it was great value for the price. The fish was still pretty fresh, with a wide variety of different fishes. I also liked that it wasn't a lot of specialty rolls like other places, so the flavor and quality of the fish was very apparent. I would go in person again!

What a great experience at Fuki.. the staff was quick, attentive and friendly but not overbearing which made for a very pleasant meal. I decided to try the set menu which for $45 a person was a great deal. I thought the spicy seafood salad was delicious as well as the chefs choice sashimi and rainbow maki. They had plenty of seating and nice low lighting which was relaxing. I will be recommending Fuki to friends and family for years to come. Hats off to the chef, keep up the good rolling.

Cute ambience and good drinks, but the food was a miss for me. I was surprised by how many excellent reviews there are. I thought the sushi was very average and some of the choices in plating was questionable. We ordered the sashimi appetizer to start and the jalapeno-wasabi mix they put on top was extremely strong for the palate. I also thought putting strawberries on the salmon sashimi was strange. Next I ordered the salmon platter which again was average. The spicy salmon roll was not what I expected although fine, and the strawberries on top of the nigiri was offputting.I did really enjoy the drinks here. I ordered the yuzu cocktail which was large and refreshing. The cosmopolitan was also very pretty and was a nice addition.

Food and drinks were wonderful, just wish the service was a bit better.We ordered the spicy sushi platter, the white tiger roll, the shrimp shumai, and the passion fruit and lychee drinks. Everything was great. The sushi could have used a bit more fish-- some had more rice or avocado than fish-- but otherwise very tasty. The shumai was also quite good.Drinks were absolutely fantastic-- I highly recommend. Unfortunately, the service took a while, from getting seated to getting our food to paying, and was not very attentive. It seems like they are quite understaffed, which means it could've just been an off night, but not great nonetheless

As others have said, this is a hidden gem on Bow Street. Order an Autumn Roll. It will change how you think about makimono. I really enjoyed the attention to craft and ingredients in everything we ordered (which, so far, has just been maki rolls). The rolls are delicious and quite generous. We will try something other than maki on our next visit. Also: we showed up as walk-ins on a Saturday night, and not exactly elegantly turned out. After a little consultation, they seated us anyway. Thank you, hostess and staff. Next time we'll make a res and leave the t-shirts at home.And one more thing. If you're ordering online, make sure you start at fukione.com and not fukisomerville.com. The latter site will charge you two dollars more per item. I don't know how this is legal but it happens a lot.
