Fry the Coop

Love the atmosphere! Older pictures and sports clippings on the wall give it a hometown feel. Fast food though the food is fresh, love that you get fries that are hot. Good service, got our food in a timely manner. Only a bit disappointed by the spices, they have different levels but really seems like there is no difference until you get to the really hot stuff. Good place to eat, though nothing outstanding for me.

Great addition to the neighborhood! I came in for the first time and ordered the Spicy Honey Butter Fried Chicken Sandwich. What a unique taste! This had a great heat level and the sweet/spicy flavor was just perfect. I complimented it with their flavored fries which were great as well. Hats-off to the service here as well. The gentleman behind the counter was super friendly, my order was prompt and he asked me how I liked my food when leaving. Will definitely be part of the rotation!

Good chicken sandwich. Nice and juicy. The bun was soft. The Coop sauce is tasty. Not a fan of the fries. Ordered seasoned fries and still had to add salt and pepper to them. Lots of small and broken fries. If I visit again I will just get a sandwich and not the fries.

Yum, I love Fry the Coop! I was surprised to see this location when I was driving down Lincoln one day, and I don't know if it's a good thing to have one within a couple miles or not. And they actually have honey mustard sauce, which I'm not sure the Portage Park one does.Anyway, their medium level spice is my favorite and the one I always get because the next level up is tooo spicy for me to have more than just a bite, and the others are not spicy enough. The staff here were friendly and the place is just getting up and running so there wasn't a big crowd. They have only a few tables but most of their business will probably be carry-out anyway given they're just around the corner from DePaul. Food was good, as I'm used to from Fry the Coop, and the prices were on par with most of the other places (except the ridiculously expensive one in Oak Lawn). I'm certainly going to be back here again.

Holy crap guys. My 9 year old? She just said: "that might be my favorite Mac n Cheese." Uh, this girl is THE connoisseur of Mac n cheeses. She's had maybe a thousand. And she's laying on "favorite" for Fry The Coop!? You all should take yourselves out and celebrate. It really is tasty. But this is nuts. It's a fried chicken sandwich joint and we're talking Mac n cheese? The sandwiches are definitely a standout too. If you like spicy food, like really like it (I have a bottle of The Bomb in my fridge. If you know, you know) I think you'll enjoy these things (but you'll want to dial it up to 911 or more if you know what you're doing). So many joints market "spicy" but they're like a glance towards a . This place can bring it. But the whole sandwich isn't just heat. The bun, slaw and sauce are well thought out. My only qualm is I didn't order the Chicago Giardiniera one also tonight (I got myself the Nashville and Honey Butter) and have to wait until my partner lets me order out again. Great job y'all.

Got the spicy one. Honey chicken sandwich was good happy with it. The house fries, not so good. Got a bunch of broken pieces and it really was disappointing. Not sure if they always serve their fries broken and small like that or they gave me the last dregs of a fried batch, but pretty poor of them to do that if that isn't their normal fries. And if normal, then please improve, that isn't a good fry. Street Parking is okay usually, weekends tougher for street parking.

This chicken sandwich is the best I've had in Chicago. SO juicy, so flavorful, so delicious. The sauce is incredible and pretty reasonably priced!

What an excellent addition to the Lincoln Park area, serving many of the Students at DePaul! (And faculty too!)Tenders are amazing and the hot butter sandwich is ridiculously awesome. Joe and the staff at this location have been excellent. Online ordering is quick and easy, much faster than their mega-chain neighbor.

This is easily the best chicken sandwich in Chicago. Great food, nice people, prices about the same as similar places.
