This is the third Frothy Monkey I've been to and I must say they are consistent at all locations. I was involved in a live theater event nearby and was drawn in. I will talk about all the usual metrics of food, service and ambiance.I've been to this location four times in the past few days because of it's proximity and the fact that there are few other eateries in the area. It is a coffee shop, and the coffee is very good. I'm not into elaborate coffee drinks, I just like coffee. Theirs is just wonderful - hot and black. On my first visit, my server made an error in telling me that they had chocolate croissants. They were sold out. I ordered the plain version and she offered it as complimentary because of her error. I refused the idea because the plain one was just as acceptable. And it was good.Stopping by for dinner, I ordered the charcuterie because I had fasting blood work the next morning and did not want to over indulge. It was interesting. It included bits of sun dried tomato. They were very sweet and I noticed they were included in many other dishes. Another surprise was the sun dried mango. Two cheeses included were quite tasty and unique.Third time coming in, I went straight to the display of pastries so that I did not have to have the server ping-ponging back and forth. The cream cheese pastry was great. The filling was tasty and the pastry flaky. Last night, I chose to have dinner here to avoid Nashville rush hour traffic. I had the salmon. It is served on cold quinoa, nicely seasoned on top, with red onion and (again) sun dried tomatoes. I'm not a big fan of quinoa, but I'm not averse to having it. I just don't have a lot of opportunity to enjoy it. I know that it is high in carbohydrates, so with my diabetes, I enjoyed "enough" and left some.Overall,, the menu is progressive creative. While I enjoy different ethnicity restaurants, this is unique. Trendy might also cover the idea. That means I had trouble finding a dish to try. Take my salmon dish as an example. I would have been happy with rice instead of quinoa, so I had to stretch out of my comfort zone. Likewise, the Basil Chicken lured me in, but I passed because I did not want the butternut squash. Each time I was there, I had a different server and wait times varied based on who served my table and how many other customers were there.Big windows give the place a nice bright, airy feeling. Seating is simple but effective. I like the genre of music, which is from the 70's or so. Upscale paper napkins wrap substantial utensils.Overall, the menu is creative and trendy, but the food is delicious. Friendly servers take good care of you in a bright dining area.

What an eclectic place! The neighborhood around here is so cute and very up-and-coming. When you walk in, it has a great outdoor patio and a very small inside. The coffees are on the sweet side so I wish that I would've just gotten some thing like I usually get. I had a spinach and feta pastry which I could've eaten three of them. They were so good!We just did orders to go, which did take a little while, but the pastry came out hot and fresh so it was worth it

I really wanted to like this place, but we found the menu lacking, the prices steep, and the coffee bland, but beautiful. Food/drink service was fine and the ambiance was typical of Nashville. We stayed long enough for me to struggle to finish 1/4 of a cup of coffee and then skidaddled.

By far the best breakfast and specialty coffee spot in East. So consistent, great service, incredible ambiance that isn't stuffy. Every meeting, meet up, work session have been so nice with the help of frothy monkey I truly love this place.

Every time I try to give Frothy a chance I regret it :( I live just down the street and their coffee is genuinely good! I keep going back to try to give it another chance but every time I am let down by their rude staff :( You can tell the company really puts effort into their coffee and ambiance but perhaps they should direct that attention towards their staff instead. I imagine the likelihood of them not being paid well being likely because of their high turnover as well or just poor management. Today I had to wait 5 minutes just to be greeted by someone to take my order as people were looking at me and acknowledging I was there but not speaking to me or even giving the courtesy of telling me "hey so sorry we'll be with you in a moment." I'm a bartender, I get it, but this is when a manager steps in to help. There was also quite a few other staff members that were walking by but didn't seem to be helping or acknowledging customers either unless it was to ask the two staff that WERE running around a question or tell a joke. There's also been a few times where I've gone in and the staff are actually arguing loudly in front of customers which, again, should not be happening. Anyways, the La Rochelle is lovely cheers to the barista that made it you rock :)

I have been hearing about Frothy Monkey since I moved to Music City, and I was so excited to finally check out their East Nashville location! A friend and I stopped in for a coffee date on a Tuesday and were able to grab a table right away! I'm told this is one of their "less busy" locations - but there were still plenty of people here on a weekday afternoon. We shared their Artisan Cheese Board, which had a nice mix of textures and flavors! This is great for a light shareable snack - and we were especially surprised with how tasty their house-made Pimento Cheese is. I also ordered the Havana Latte, which I've dubbed the best latte I've had in Nashville! This is the perfect sweet and creamy coffee, without being too sweet. It was so good that I dragged my husband back to this location the following weekend so that he could try it too.I'll definitely return to Frothy Monkey again soon to sample more of their creative coffee offerings!

A great brunch spot tucked into a cute neighborhood! Coffee was great, food was light and flavorful, and service was kind. The breakfast sandwiches, and their bagels in general, were a highlight!

Food was decent but felt kinda ignored by the staff and it seemed like they had some staffing/shortage issues. Went for brunch on a Sunday and waited 30 min for a table outside, then 20 minutes before anyone came to take our order. Don't come during any rush time, it'll take 2+ hours to get a table/food. Coffee was good and food was decent but overall not worth the wait. Coffee: Hound dog: 5/5 mix of smooth peanut butter and banana, wouldn't have thought this would be good but the flavors balanced great Havana: 4/5 pretty good not too sweet Turtle: 4/5 Food:Capri: 4/5 pesto was fantastic, i opted to add bacon which added more flavor, too much egg and the plate was also incredibly tiny which made it hard to eat Avo toast: regular avocado toast with mozzarella Loaded biscuits and gravy: 3.5/5 pretty heavy and oilyInside is just a regular cafe, nothing too fancy.

!!!BEWARE!!! I left a tip in cash and paid for my meal with my Cash App Card. A few hours later, I receive a message from my Cash App stating that my total was updated to include a tip, although I didn't write down a card tip when paying. If Frothy Monkey has a policy where they automatically include tips for card payments, they need to do a better job of displaying that information.

I was really excited to check out this place based on a friend's recommendation. The Buttermilk Cafe they suggested was awesome. However, I was pretty let down by Frothy Monkey. Their homemade coffee syrups weren't great and the food was just okay. To be honest, I would have preferred to eat at McDonald's. Neither of the dishes we ordered were very appetizing, although the bacon was the only tasty part of the meal.
