There are so much to like about this place and I really want to give it a 5 star rating but I just can't. The food is not as good as the rest of the restaurant. I decided to give it a 4 star because at least the skewers are better. First, do NOT order any food that's not a skewer here. I'll explain later. The place has cool atmosphere and it's quite full even on a weekday late night so it gives you a great Asian sports bar vibe even though there is no big TV playing sports channels. It's all about food to share among friends. The service is prompt and you get a skewer warmer when you sit down. However, taste is off on most of the food offerings especially the non skewers. I ordered the tinfoil frog and the frogs are definitely previously frozen so not fresh and the sauce/soup is seriously lacking in spices. It's not that it's not spicy enough just the flavor is wanting. There just isn't any coherent flavoring in the soupbase. They should learn more from Sichuan flavoring to cover up the "fishiness" of the frogs when it's not freshly prepared. The conch pieces are tiny and once again flavoring is off. It's also not spicy enough. The skewers are much better but some skewers are probably half cooked before and just reheated so they can serve them quicker. That caused most of the skewers to be drier than they should. However overall skewers are definitely better choice than the rest of the menu. I tried the large xinjiang lamb skewers and I think it's a little pricy for the amount of meat. I recommend putting a little more fat on the meat skewers. Overall I'm giving this a reluctant 4 stars.

This is a franchise location of a New York originated chain specializing in Northwest Chinese skewered bbq. The concept has so much potential, but the execution is a fail. The Seattle location opened during the height of the pandemic and has had very little fanfare. Everything comes out of the kitchen fully (too) cooked, then placed on a hot box on your table. All tasted alike with the same saucing and seasoning, too much 5 spice. The Mongolian Beef and the Squid were over cooked to a tough rubbery texture. The Shrimp was overcooked to dryness. The Eggplant came with a sauce that was too sweet and too much. With a few adjustments, this could be a winning idea, but because it's a franchise, I don't see it happening.

The food and service were beyond our expectations, authentic flavors and ingredients. The area is not the greatest, but once inside we were happy we found this restaurant.

I came with a party of 7 with reservations, which was needed as the place was crowded with a line for a table. Since I came with people who spoke mandarin and been here before, they did all the ordering for the table. We had a few sets of skewers ranging from chicken, lamb, and beef. These was decent, but also not too much meat on the stick so get lots of them. We also got the Foil Tofu ($14.99), Spicy Duck Blood Pot ($21.99), Cold Shrimp with Pepper ($21.99), Cold Shredded Potato ($7.99), Garlic Live Scallop (MP), and a few others items I forgot. The food is good, but everything had a similar flavor that left me craving something else to eat even though I was full. This is fun for groups, so surprised they don't have larger tables. It's probably most ideal to come with about 4 people here. Everything does get pricey too as you order. We ended up spending $56 per person.

Great place for some tasty Chinese bbq skewers. I came here on a weekday night and was able to call to make a reservation a couple days beforehand. We ordered a myriad of different skewers and they came out very quickly! We were impressed by the fast service; our favourite skewer was the Mongolian beef and special lamb. When you are seated they give you some marinated peanuts as an appetizer. Parking: Free, parking lot

Saw this on IG and we went out of our way to try it and so glad we did! It's something different with the majority of the menu being skewered meats that the pre-grill in the kitchen and then bring to your table. Lots of unique skewers, our favorite was the chicken gristle and the fried bean curd sheets, delish! Everything here has a very spicy sauce in it that was super tasty! However if you don't like spicy food this might not be your thing. The converse is also true, if you like spicy food this will definitely be your thing! Also tried the hot and sour egg drop soup. It was a slightly diff take on hot and sour soup but I also enjoyed it! Also very spicy!I will def be coming back. Parking is easy as this is located in a small strip mall with parking. We spent $112 for lunch for four.

Very nice family friendly restaurant. Seating was comfortable and they were able to accommodate a larger party of 8. It is a bit on the spicer side and some dishes cannot adjust the spiciness, so good thing to check. My favorite were the squid, spicy clams and gizzard. The meat skewers were very thinly sliced. Some parts were like a jerky texture on the dry side. I was thinking the pork belly would have more fat and charred juicy but surprisingly just thin.Service was great, waiting staff very attentive and also consistent with refilling water.I like they had the heating boxes for the skewers. The skewers come out at vary speeds so If super hungry maybe try to save hunger until everything is brought out or you may eat too fast.

I think if you're craving it this is a good option, but the seasoning and spices could definitely be stronger.
