Party of 2. The ambience is peaceful with lovely music. We received a warm and friendly welcome and were seated right away. The waiter was patient with us since it was our first time here and explained what some of the menu items were or looked like. I ordered the scrambled eggs with the cilantro garlic potatoes and added bacon (+$3.50) and the Thyme from the "bakery" section. The scrambled eggs dish was delicious and flavorful. The bacon was cooked to perfection, crispy. I love the thyme bread, it's so soft and fresh!

Beautiful restaurant, good food, friendly service. But the incredibly inadequate staffing and long wait times completely ruined the experience. It honestly would make me avoid this restaurant in the future. We had a group of 7 on a Saturday at 12:00. They do take call in reservations, which is a plus. Our party was promptly sat at 12:00. We were warmly greeted by our server. Honestly, our server Oscar was amazing. He was friendly, gracious and professional. But it seemed he had the whole restaurant to himself and was struggling to keep up. We had to wait almost 20 minutes to order our drinks. Our party ordered Bloody Mary's (spicy and flavorful), a Michelada (very bland and tasteless), and a Harvest Breeze (bland and watered down). While water was provided initially, no refills were given throughout our visit. Our bar drinks took almost 20 minutes to arrive. When we ordered food, we had to also wait about 25 minutes for food. When we did receive the food, two members of our party had to wait to receive their plates. One waited an extra 5 minutes for her food and a second waited an extra 10 minutes for her food. Although it may not seem like a long time, it is much longer when you are waiting in front of the rest of your party already eating. When we finished eating, the bussers were quick to clear the plates. But there were no water refills. Our overwhelmed waiter did not check on us and we waited and waited and waited to request the check. Once we were able to request the check, we waited about 25 minutes and still had not received the check. We finally walked up front to pay. Once there, we saw management and other employees standing around. It might have been more helpful for them to assist their staff.We sat at this restaurant for 2 hours and the bulk of that time was spent without food or drink. Overall, good food. Awful service and that would prevent me from returning in the future.

After our last experience, we were convinced to give this place another try. Maybe coming during valentine's day weekend wasn't the best idea though, because we still had to wait. Like last time, we called for a reservation and was told that it would take 30 minutes. When we arrived, we were seated at the bar instead of at a table because "the tables are reserved," which confused us because we also called for a reservation. I guess you have to specify where you want to sit during your reservation call. After sitting, we could not get the person behind the bar to make eye contact with us. She seemed engrossed in conversation with other parties. It took 15 minutes for someone else (I assumed the owner) to notice that we had not been helped. He was very nice and he took our order. We asked for water, but the water never came out. Given that we did not like the water last time, it might have been for the best that they had forgotten about it this time. The meal was good. We got the la ma jeen and Fatteh, which were refreshing and very filling. When it came time for us to go, we again could not get anyone to notice us. Instead of the server behind the bar, we had to walk to the front to ask the host to help us get the check. Overall, this experience was better than our initial experience, but the service really needs work. If this review were just based on food alone, the bistro would have gotten a 4-5 stars from us.

The restaurant is nicely decorated with a modern, natural aesthetic. When I first entered, no one greeted me for several minutes despite making eye contact. Our server was really friendly and helpful which was nice. A manager also came to check on us. Service and food were a little slow but there was a big party in the back. We ordered the hummus with chicken and the hummus with steak. Both came with pita bread. The portions of the meat were kind of small but there was a good amount of hummus. The steak was not marinated but the chicken had really nice spices, nuts and onion. All in all, would definitely return to try some additional items.

I tend not to eat this cuisine much because of dietary restrictions, but I found Zaatar to be delicious. The interior is not only beautiful and actually kind of spacious despite how it looks on the outside, but the service as great. They're attentive but try not to rush you and are happy to answer questions. I shared a La Ma Jeen (5/5) - my fave dish. Easily shareable and comes out fresh! I don't usually like arugula but this paired perfectly with it as well as the sauce. Chicken wrap (4/5) - good but not as flavorful as the La Ma Jeen (we actually took the sauce from that and added it to the wrap). Overall fine and well cooked. The chicken was moist and there was sauce at the endI would definitely come back for more of that La Ma Jeen and maybe try other dishes as well! Highly recommend this spot!

Interesting Mediterranean food that comes in HUGE portions. Be prepared for lots of leftovers!!Dishes:1) Country style potatoes: sooo good. Has that fried garlic and onion flavor with it. The ambiance is nice for a lunch setting, offering a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere.I stopped in for a cold drink, hummus, and pita bread, and everything was very good. The hummus was creamy and flavorful, and the pita was fresh and warm--perfect for dipping.Overall, it's a solid choice for a quick yet satisfying Mediterranean meal. Went the day after Valentine's for brunch. They decorated the place so cutely! Had to wait a bit because they were busy, but they are super accommodating. We added two more ppl to our party a bit late and the staff still made it work, moving us to a larger table. The food is delicioussss and the drinks are so good! Highly recommend!!
