Yosemite View Restaurant & Lounge

The food was sensational and the service was even better! They have a brûlée cheesecake that was to die for. We loved the Philly cheese steak, burgers, and the chicken. Our servers (we came in three times) were attentive and so warm. We had great conversations and felt like a guest in someone's home. I highly recommend this resort and their food FYI... they do not have pizza. I think that gets asked a lot, and they will remind you lol.

Servers were great, but food was not up to par. Restaurant had a cafeteria feel and the food tasted like it. I would suggest going to the pizza joint at the hotel instead.

We ordered a Chef Italian Salad and a side of fried. REALLY great fries and good salad. A bit on the expensive side $28 for a salad and side of fries. Given the options in the areas though, it was a good choice and the food was good.The next morning we had a great breakfast. I had the farmers choice breakfast with a side of fresh salad and my husband had the half dome omelette - both were great. Highly recommend for breakfast in the areaWe stayed at the Yosemite View Lodge for two nights and ate here on evening and one breakfast. With this restaurant being on the hotel property, I would have figured that you could call in food. I called the front desk to get the phone number and they said "I don't have those phone number". Which seemed strange to me but I did call the restaurant many times (based on the yelp phone number) and they did not answer. I think that would be a nice change based on them being an on-site restaurant to the hotel. Other than that, the staff were very friendly and accommodating

Can't beat the value at such a convenient location! I was here the first time in 2012, which left a good impression. I was a little bit concerned about many negative reviews this time before the visit. Luckily, I did not experience those, and my impression is as good as, if not better than, my first time visit more than ten years ago. Food (especially dinner) is quite good and decently priced, and the service was quite professional. Location is second to none! Overall I'd still quite recommend this restaurant if you stay nearby or drive pass the park.

Unfortunately, my food was not very good. The chicken breast was disgusting. It was the most rubbery piece of chicken I have ever been served. I attempted to cut it and it was impossible. Needless to say, it was incredibly difficult to eat. So I didn't. I asked for something else, like shrimp - and got three pieces of shrimp. They weren't very good either, but at least I could swallow them. The vegetable shrimp stir fry was ok. Asianesque flavors in a sweetish sauce. Happy to have the vegetable option since it was better than the chicken entree for certain, but basically a frozen/microwaveable dinner. The best thing out of this dinner is the salad you can "build," the veggie soup and the mashed potatoes which were decent garlic mashed potatoes. Pretty sad that in such a beautiful place the "fancier" dining option was a serious let down. $55 for two never disappointed so much.

I ordered a rare New York steak and got a very tough, hard to even cut medium to well done steak. The portions are chintzy. We added a side of garlic butter shrimp and there are 3 flavorless shrimp with the worst cocktail sauce I've ever tasted. I will not be eating there ever again!

Food was good although a bit pricey. But there aren't a lot of options near YNP. Service was a bit slow one of the times we ate there. But the view from the outside seating area is incredible. Roaring Merced River just a few feet away.

Horrendous food. Truly awful. Reminiscent of a teenager who just moved out of their parents house and are learning to cook frozen food. You can pay more than $20 for a frozen burger. You can tell them you want it rare, medium or whatever, but you're gonna get it well done. The stir fry's look like a bag of frozen veggies with some cheap sauce. The only nice part is that you can sit outside overlooking the river.

Took 2 hours for a simple dinner. Server forgot we were there and I had to eventually ask for our food, which was by then cold. We saw other tables come and go so maybe it was just us? Either way it was disappointing.
