Ok, over all my 7 night trip that my family and I took ended short so you would think I would give this place a $hit review, but the truth is not necessarily with world mark but with bass lake. Let's start with the resort. No gym, no tennis courts, a HYPER chlorinated pool, and a small front desk area not conducive to a resort style location. That's why I gave it 4/5 stars. Great A/C, roomy, nice staff, well kept grounds. Of course that is my fault for not reading about the place before going there. Here is why I hated Bass Lake. My family and I are very active, probably to a fault. If I'm in the woods I want hiking trails strait from my room. Nope! You walk off the property you are seriously putting your life in danger from the windy road with no shoulders or curb. Walking distance to the lake, the muddy, weedy part of the lake that has waaaay too many boats and jet skis in it. Yosemite valley is a legit 90 drive. I should have just gone the entire distance and camped there. This place was just not my thing. I like big bear much more

For our Yosemite visit we stayed at Worldmark Bass Lake which was right next to Bass Lake. It was about a 15 minute drive to Yosemite. Bass Lake was a very nice looking lake with some houses around it.I loved the Worldmark Bass Lake as each unit was a 2 story townhouse. There was nobody above us and I rarely heard the people next to us. At other Worldmarks I was often woken up by people walking on the floor above us. I'm not a good sleeper away from home but I got some good sleep here. There is the nearby town of Oakhurst about 15 minutes away which had a good amount of restaurants. I was impressed there was a street vendor selling half flats of strawberries for $20. I bought one and was eating strawberries everyday. Strawberries needed another day or 2 before they were fully ripe. After I let them sit in the kitchen they were sweet and juicy with lots of strawberry flavor. Better than supermarket strawberries but not quite as good as my favorite farmers market strawberries.Staff was friendly and helpful. Lots to do and see nearby. I loved staying at Bass Lake WorldmarkSpring 2024 road trip to Yosemite + King's Canyon National Parks:Golden Dragon was our 1st stop for food. https://www.hungryones.com/2024/05/golden-dragon-2/We stayed at Worldmark Bass Lake.https://www.hungryones.com/2024/05/worldmark-bass-lake/

Love this location! The staff up front are all super friendly and helpful! The rooms were super clean and relaxing! Felt like my home away from home! I also love how they had a little bear hunt with bears (not real bears haha) that are located on the property and had a cute memento to give if you found all the bears! They also had a movie night during our stay which was really cool! And I also love how they had coffee, water, lemonade and mini muffins available to everyone up front! Fantastic location near the lake! Had a very good time here!

This place is amazing for families, couples, or anyone who loves the outdoors. Note - we booked through RCI. Worldmark manages the units on the "otherside of the gate" for RCI. Worldmark units have their own pool, etc, and the RCI units share a pool, parking lot, trash bins with some actual homeowners who live in that same area. They are not very friendly (who can blame them, while we were there a guest drove his truck through someone's backyard.) Forgive the length, but good info here: The unit:We stayed in unit A35, in building 3, closest to the lake but with no lake view. Perfect unit if you want a quiet place to relax and an opportunity to see wildlife. It faces the boat parking lot. Upstairs in the master is a window facing the road. Anyone on the road can see into the window so we just left the blinds closed. No road noise to speak of. There is only 1 shower/tub and it's upstairs, so not technically a 2 bath as stated. With 4 people, it's a bit inconvenient. Photos show all the room appointments, it was perfect for us. Both bedrooms were upstairs with the full bath. The lake:Very short 5 min walk to the lake. We easily rolled our kayaks over every morning. Lake gets very busy, but the water is incredibly clear. We spent hours exploring the shoreline and wetlands. Angel Falls trailhead is also in walking distance from the resort, although there are a few places along the road where there is no shoulder, so its not for the faint of heart. Yosemite Access:Wawona entrance is only 30 min from the lake but it's another hour to get to the main attractions in the park (bridal veil falls etc.) We were here during the Wahburn and Oak fires so we had to use the entrance gate waaaay over on the other side of Mariposa. After 1.5 hours of driving, we then had a 2 hour wait to get in the park. I don't recommend it. I cannot recommend this place enough. Staff was friendly and helpful. From the pool to the lake, there are tons of things to do and explore, enough to keep all ages busy.

I am back! Been here some years ago, had a great time here, and I just returned. The first thing I noticed was lobby renovated. Check in was painless, the female hostess who helped us didnt look pleased at all but she wasnt too rude so I didnt care. Then I came to the rooms and realized they were renovated. Much upgraded from years back. The mattresses are firmer and nicer and electric outlets (about a 1/3 of them were broke last time I was here) all work now. Floors are tiles, nice carpet... very nicely done.Being covid, you need to request for cooking vessels and spices if you want to cook.

Overall not a bad place to stay but could've been better. It's all about the small stuff really. My spouse and I stayed here because of the proximity to Yosemite but the main attraction here is the lake. Yosemite is about 1.5 hour drive from the resort. We ventured to the lake once but it wasn't really our thing. Being the middle of summer and a hot weekend, the lake was filled with boats and packed with people. The resort itself is decent. Swimming pool, basketball court, hot tub, children's playground, and direct trail to the lake. It does not have a fitness center like other Worldmark resorts. I had to get a week membership at Anytime Fitness in Oakhurst 15 min away. The perimeter was clean and all the units are townhome style, two levels, and two bedrooms. Upon first inspection of our unit, we were really impressed. Decent up to date decor, not too old...not too new. I loved how much space there was and the full kitchen was great. However, we noticed a few uncomfortable details after we got settled in the first day. 1) Ants in the kitchen. It wasn't swarming with them but we killed about 20/day. We kept all our food covered and washed the dishes immediately so it wouldn't attract more. 2) Floors were dirty. They're dark so you don't notice at first. The hard flooring in the bathrooms and kitchen needed sweeping and some parts of the kitchen felt sticky. I ended up wiping the sticky parts only to discover a severely dirty towel. One wipe alone made the entire side of the white towel turn dirt brown. I ended up wiping all the floors because I found it disturbing. It's as if the housekeeping had never mopped. Please see attached picture. They have carpet and I shudder to imagine what neglect the carpets have seen. As owners, isn't this what we pay for with the housekeeping credit?3) If we didn't use the water for a few hours, we noticed that gray dirty water came out. We had to let the water run for a couple minutes to turn clear before using. 4) I mentioned a loud sound that comes on occasionally and randomly on the side of the unit. I was explained that it was the water heater. Motion sensors in the unit detect when you go into the kitchen and through the stairs. It then turns on the water heater so you have constant hot water. As nice as that is, it sure was loud. If I was sleeping in the living room with the Murphy bed, that would be really disruptive. I did mention all the above to the front desk upon check out. Unfortunately, we had to end our stay early due to the Washburn fire in Yosemite. I mentioned it to a front desk staff and she assured me it wouldn't reach the lake but we had been monitoring the fire and air quality. The morning we left, ash was falling over the resort and you couldn't see the hills because of the smoke. Air quality control labeled it poor air. Luckily I was able to get in touch with Worldmark Owner Care and they promised to refund us for the days we weren't staying. I mentioned the cleaning concerns but they refused to refund the housekeeping credit. If I came back to Yosemite I'd stay here again but if something better comes into town, I might reconsider.

My situation is still being investigated. I had made reservations at Worldmark resort. When my family arrived we were told Priceline/hotel beds had cancelled our reservation. The hotel staff and their general manager Mr Savage...we tried to figure out what happened and where Priceline had relocated my family but never got an answer. I was so stressed and cried. Imagine planning this trip for over a month, your whole family is excited only to be told your reservation was cancelled. I never received notifications from Priceline nor the hotel that it was cancelled. My family arrived at Worldmark resort after a long day in Yosemite National; excited that our room was ready. So, we can rest up and now can relax to enjoy the rest of our vacation. But it was cancelled. For the next 2 hours. The hotel staff Lauren and Mr Savage (general manager) was trying to figure out what happened to my reservation because we were over booked by Priceline and now had nowhere to go. After 2 stressful hours and me balling my eyes out... because my family and I had planned this birthday trip for over a month just to find out it was cancelled. My kids were devastated...so as their mom I felt devastated because their happiness was ruined in that moment and having to see their mom cried over the whole situation. After what seemed like an eternity....I just decided to see if any surrounding hotel/resort had openings. I forgot the lady's name at the resort but said the pines resort had availability so my family was able to get a room there. I am thankful we can continue on with our vacation and make the best out of it.I paid for that stayed out of my own pocket. Priceline still hasn't refund the cost at Worldmark. They want proof of the cancellation because according to them they didn't cancel us. According to Janine at Worldmark resort/staff/general manager Mr Savage. They've received notifications from their database that it was cancelled. This is a back and forth situation and me as the consumer is getting the run around and no resolution. Ultimately, I just want my refund. My situation is still not resolved and my refund for this whole ordeal is still not refunded. Please, help me get my refund back. I will never ever do business with Worldmark nor Priceline. This experience was a nightmare.

In August, we were able to enjoy one of the units closer to the pool. The unit was well taken care of and clean. I liked the floor plan with two bedrooms and two full bathrooms upstairs, and a half bath downstairs. The pool was open by appointment time, and only part of the facility was open due to COVID. It's very close to Bass Lake, which looks like a beautiful mall lake. We just drove around it since there were too many people out for our liking. We took two day trips into Yosemite through the south entrance. It's a longer and curvier way in than from 140, but you get the dramatic entrance into the Yosemite Valley through the tunnel and onto Tunnel View.If we visit again, hopefully we can rent a pontoon boat and enjoy the water of Bass Lake.

the places are decent, nothing fancy but clean enough and average. One thing to be aware of if you plan on having to use internet for work, 100% STAY ELEWHERE. This is not an exaggeration. First of al the pricing for it is one of the bigger scams, more expensive than nice hotels or any of the many time shares. You have to pick how many devices you'll be using (not sure why this would matter but becomes obvious later). Then get this, you pay based on the number of days you say- however your choices are one day or 10 days. So obviously this is A scam to gouge as much money from you as much as possible but it is what it is. However, what you dont know is that every night start around 6-7pm, the internet goes down until morning. EVERY SINGLE NIGHT. I call support and they say the same thing every time "we have an engineer working on it". But they dont, they simply aren't equipped past a certain number of simulations users and are wy over selling it. They did have no problem charing me $32 for a non existent service (for 10 days, even though Im here 4. If you dont need or rely on the internet, it's a normal, average learj,n place. if you need internet for work, you simply can't stay here. I call every night as soon as it goes down and get the same canned response every time. I'll start taping them and loading them here.Maybe its not a big deal everyone but when your first impression is you're being lied/taken advantage off, it makes it feel pretty low rent operation.Ill recording my nightly calls to them and post them here so can hear first hand.
