Longest wait times ever. Last year I waited almost 2 hours. Today I got an early appointment thinking it would be quicker. Appointment was at 7:15, check in at 6:55. It is 8:00 and I'll still waiting. Also it's so hard to get an appointment. Appointment times are 3 to 6 months out.

I had my annual mammogram yesterday at WISH Breast Center here in Fresno. It's the best place to do so. It's located near the Fresno Surgery Center. I like that WISH is focused on women. They are sensitive to our needs. It is well organized and beautifully appointed. The dressing rooms have royal purple curtains. It's quiet and peaceful. The staff is friendly and efficient. Having a mammogram is not as difficult or painful. The radiology technicians are wonderful and efficient. This year I was at WISH for a hour. They have lockers for your clothes and valuables. The doctors are wonderful too. Very friendly, competent and professional. I will come back here every year. It's a great place.

Had a fantastic visit here last year for my annual. This year is a completely different story. First, they said they don't need my doctor's orders because it's an annual and my PPO insurance covers it. Then they called 3 days before my appointment to tell me they needed my orders. Keep in mind it's now they Wednesday before Thanksgiving. They said they would reach out to my doctor and call and let me know if they would need to reschedule me. Fantastic. So I immediately called my OB (Dr. Swanson) and of course they're gone for the holiday. Friday 11am rolls around and they call and leave a VM to CONFIRM my appointment at 4:00pm but then proceed to tell me if I don't get here before 3:30pm I'd need to reschedule. I tried calling back the front desk and no one answers. SUPER. I end up going in at 1:15pm for the front desk to tell me... WE NEED YOUR DOCTOR'S ORDERS. WHAT?!I explained to her the entire situation and she said that there's nothing I can do. She said she can't reschedule me either and that I'd have to call on Monday. LOLOLOLOLOL!!!So I told her, just change my doctor to my primary and not my OB and GUESS WHAT?! I was seen.

Friendly faces. They make this uncomfortable situation feel like it's going to be ok.

I would not recommend overall. Great female doctor. Staff is insufficiently trained. I have dense breasts and tech was too afraid to perform mammogram correctly. Lower breast not scanned. Incorrect tilt for my height. Scan shouldn't attempt to include clavicle. I'm angry, but yet I'm perplexed by the ineptitude of of tech that thinks I don't know my own body. Whole health is important. When the patient indicates improper placement, review it with the patient. Have an "ego removed" discussion. It's not personal, but it may be lifesaving.

3/9/22 - This review is not for this center's actual services provided, but rather for their terrible main line reception of patients over the phone and the difficulty I experienced in trying to cancel a mammogram appointment.I came down with COVID and tested positive the night before my mammogram appointment, so I immediately called to reschedule my appointment. I received an automated reply stating I needed to contact them during working hours. Their hours on their website showed that they open at 7am on Wednesdays, so I called again at 7am to reschedule my appointment, but received another automated reply stating they would be open at 8am. I fell asleep from exhaustion after a night of wracking coughs and called the center again when I awoke at 10am.I dialed (559) 206-4213 and pressed 7 to speak with the front office. I let the lady who picked up know that I needed to cancel my appointment this afternoon and tried to explain that I'd been calling since the night before to cancel due to being positive for Covid with symptoms, but she rudely hung up on me while I was still speaking, telling me she didn't care and didn't need to know. I was pretty floored by her response, so I called another number (559-474-4290) that I found online and reached a much nicer person named Abigail. I explained that I needed to confirm my appointment cancellation and that I was turned off from wanting to reschedule my appointment due to the terrible experience I encountered with the front office receptionist at WISH Breast Center Fresno.I have read several other patients' accounts of similar rude treatment received from the front desk at this center, and am extremely disturbed that such behavior toward patients has been left unchecked. I was stressed by the rude treatment I received on the phone this morning, and am trying to let it go because stress is never good for sickness, but am taking the time to post this review/feedback in the hope that someone in a managerial position at WISH will take notice and address this unacceptably rude behavior by their office employee.

Formal complaint after waiting months for my appointment, I was called 2 weeks before with questions and refused to be seen.on my scheduled appointment because they didn't want to use the referral I had for routine mammogram Brenda and Cynthia took it upon themselves to cancel my appointment with no notification, I drove from out of town to be here had to table the day off work. This very inconvenient and frustrating on top of an already worry some situations. If your office needed a different wording or referral, it is not the patients that relay information to Dr. and now I have to wait again because for two weeks you failed to communicate with Dr but when I show up to my appointment now you were able to get a hold of Dr or referral. But still won't see me

I've been coming to this facility for about 20 years. It use to be the best but over the past 5 years or so it has gone down hill. Tech's are great, doctors are too but that's where it ends. They haven't been able to get my results to my doctor the last 3 years and I'm tired of having to make a second trip to WISH to pick up my own results so my doctor will have them. Trying to get an appointment is next to impossible so you have to schedule it 4 or 5 months in advance and if you need to talk to a supervisor your told they will call you back within a half hour but you don't receive any call back. Too bad they have gone down hill so far. I'll be looking into going somewhere else from now on.
