Great cafe to come grab a quick lunch from. Wonderful service and wonderful food, and casual ambiance. You order at the front with the registers, and then they bring out your food to you. Love their mission with the cafe, and definitely enjoy getting to see friends while here. We've enjoyed lots of things here, but some of our favorites are the Southwest salad, Cobb salad (subbed with chicken instead of ham), and custom sandwich with everything being good.Heard really good things about the smoothies and teas, so looking forward to trying one of those next time!

First time being here! I've always looked at the reviews to find that there are no pictures of the space or pictures of the menu, so I decided to do a more detailed review. I've heard of this place a few times and finally had time to try it out!Visually: It's a cute, decorated, and very spacious place. Super clean, spread out, and different types of seating; whether you like sitting in a high chair, low chair, or a booth. The booths have access to charging which is a must especially if you'll be working here for awhile. The tables are big and wide which is a huge plus! Most of the other coffee shops in town don't have big tables so it always feels crammed and hard to do work, but thankfully the tables here are big enough to bring out your stuff and work.Internet: They do give out internet codes that are valid for an hour after you log in. I don't see it as an inconvenience, but I feel that some people might. It's a super easy process to log in, so not a problem for me. I think the place being connected to Merced County of Education could be the reason why they might have to keep track of wifi usage, given that maybe there are students who work here or are in the space.Service: Excellent service! Nice and polite staff. If you're seated, they will bring you your drinks and food, which is really nice, especially if you're working! I saw the staff, sanitizing the tables and seats after customers sat down and left.Menu: Huge variety of drinks. What's available is hot or cold coffee, tea, smoothies, fountain drinks, juice, and water. They have a pretty big breakfast, lunch, and salad menu. All items are served at all hours of their opening hours, which is very convenient! What I ordered:Drink: Hot Matcha Latte with an extra scoop of matcha and substituted the milk for oatmilk. It was pretty good, I would definitely get it again.Food: Full, Hot, Tuscan Chicken Sandwich on Honey Wheat Bread with Pesto Aioli, provolone cheese all veggies and Avocado Absolutely delicious, would definitely get it again! Super fresh! Your food comes out on a tray if you're eating here, it's nicely wrapped, and they cut your sandwich in half which is very convenient for me! Overall, I love the space and intentionality. The staff is extremely friendly, they checked up on us and made us feel comfortable. The food and drinks were delicious. Awesome place to do work, grab a drink and food!

I wouldn't even give one star if my coffee hadn't been decent. It was just a little above warm but it tasted good. I ordered their 2 waffles with a side of bacon. What came out was in a take out box and it was 2 small squares, about the size of an eggo, , only they were thick like a Belgian waffle. It already had butter on it and there was a small Mrs. Butterworth syrup. It seemed reasonable for the price I paid. I don't know what was going on with the bacon but it was pressed into a circle mold of some kind and was hard and dry. I opened the syrup to pour on the waffle and to my surprise it wouldn't pour. I stuck my knife into it to try to spread it and it was like rubber cement. It couldn't even be spread. (I am not exaggerating). I took a small bite of the waffle and it was like cardboard. Totally unedible. On top of that they supposedly have free Wi-Fi, but you have to get a code, which is fine, but then it required you to put your name, address, phone number, and email account to access it. I was unwilling to do that. I threw the whole mess in the trash and left. I did not complain, which now I am kind of sorry for, but I really wouldn't have wanted anything replaced.

Came here for the first time today! And this place is seriously great. The inside is nicely decorated and it's very spacious super convenient when needing to get work done. It's also pretty quiet which again is a huge plus when needing to get work done. Customer service was great! Everyone was super nice and friendly! As for the coffee, it was SO DELICIOUS. I got the churro caramel macchiato and it was wonderful! It was sweet but not too sweet either! I recommend everyone try that drink when they go there! It's that good! The food was equally as delicious, I got half a sandwich with the chicken. The chicken was wonderfully cooked! It was seasoned well and not dry at all! More than the coffee or the food, I loved the fact they had local teenagers working there and gaining important life skills. Supporting the community and serving great coffee and food, why wouldn't you wanna come here?! I will definitely be coming back and I recommend everyone try this wonderful place out too!

Stopped by for a quick bite and was pleasantly supposed! I had the Italian Turkey sandwich in a combo and I chose the pasta salad as a side and it comes with a drink. Very reasonable price and the 1/2 sandwich was quite filling. I even picked up a chocolate muffin. Yum!

I'm so over this Elizabeth H. trying to get all the firsts around this town with her barely mediocre and not so insightful reviews on a place (just see her two-line review of Wired). now EH, sit back and read a real review.i am on the hunt for a good latte around town. after trying to find any local cafe outside the corporate franchise of starbucks and one failed attempt at the local "coffee block" it is hard to say which one of the local cafe's is worse. first, a background on Wired Cafe. It is a joint venture with the Merced County Office of Education, were at Wired, government employees train underpriveleged and developmentally disabled local youth in the workings of a food service counter and a coffee bar. the space is quite large, one area on the northern side furnished with tables, a couch and a piano while on the southern side a round-table of computers await for local internet access. my service here today was a bit stiff at first, but with a little work of my charm, i was able to break down the government employee (no youth was there today training). with a little talk about what the space is about, her showing me their non-organic soy milk used for latte drinks, and the pouring of my drink in a styrofoam cup (oh brother, i was about to lose it. nothing is worse than a styrofoam cup. yet i stood there wondering why I came in to experience the slow service, but the styrofoam was worse. i wished it to speed up to get back to my cup of pu erh calling my name at the office). i digress.the pluses of Wired are these:1. They offer Santa Cruz Roasting Co. Coffee2. They also offer an assortment of Mighty Leaf Teas (which are completely compostable tea bags)3. The biggest plus is they provide a service for youth to gain skills in customer service and supplying them with a job4. The lunch is cheap. You can get a half sammy, drink for less than $3. or go for a full sammy and drink for less than $5. that's a steal if you ask me.as for the drink, it was like Elizabeth H's reviews, less than mediocre. you have two choices for drink sizes, 16oz or 20oz. and you only get one shot of espresso in either, you can add one for 50 cents. so i did and my drink was $3.50. i took a few sips and i just could not stomach it. the espresso seemed flat (i don't think she pressed a fair amount) and the soy milk used (Pacific Foods) seemed like water that was lightlly thickened with a hint of soy milk. unfortunately, the local cafe's in Merced have a long way to go. maybe because i'm holding on to my dear Spike's in San Francisco. yet again, the bay area has spoiled me and I doubt anything in this area will live up to the services and products provided in the Bay Area.

It was my first time visiting Wired and I had the Cranberry/Almond Salad and it was delicious! It was very fresh, nice and crisp and the dressing was outstanding! I will certainly be back because I am a salad connoisseur and it exceeded my expectations. Thank you!

Very delicious, generous portioned lunches. The meatball soup is my all-time favorite! I have yet to order a specialty coffee but they look amazing. However, my favorite is the chocolate/peanut butter bar. This is a homemade goodie that puts Reese's PB cups to shame!
