Vito's Ristorante & Pizzeria

Was in town on business and having a hankering for Italian. After Googling 'Italian Nearby', I narrowed it down to two places and then went with my gut to try Vito's. Glad I did.No pictures with this review. None required. Greeted with a smile. Seated quickly and offered the 'specials' by our waitress, who is a full time teacher! (Please pay our teachers more!!!) My wife ordered the Capellini Mona Lisa (shrimp) while I had Vito's Signature Penne Pasena (sausage). Both DELISH!You'd think, located across from a college, the place would be rough around the edges, as many college town pizzerias are. But this is a quality place, from the service to the food ... laid back with classic Italian music playing through the ceiling speakers to round out the experience. Highly recommended!

The food was great, try the clam chowder, trust me. Our wait staff was very nice, but they would not allow my service dog inside, so we were sat on the patio, which was a little too full of flies for complete comfort. She did check with someone about service animals and was told "not inside" , which is clearly illegal, but I did not feel like making a stink over it, but just to warn anyone with a guide dog or medical alert dog, be prepared to sit outside here. The food and the waitperson would have earned a five star, if they'd let us sit inside, though, so if you don't have a need for a service dog, it's probably five stars.

We have always enjoyed going to Vito's and look forward to the warm garlic bread and fresh salads. Their pizzas are always good and pasta dishes tasty. Owners/managers supported other local restaurants during pandemic times and we appreciate the small town vibe. This being said we have been to Vito's dozens of times over the years but our most recent trip wasn't the best. Bread was old and not warmed at all! Salad had wilted/slimy pieces and dressing was a little gooey and clearly not homemade. The pasta sauce didn't have flavor. Really hoping it was just an off night and that things haven't changed drastically. Edited: We will go back to try it again and still recommend this restaurant.

We came here before performing a concert at Stanislaus State. We had a very limited time window due to our performance so we had to eat quickly. We let the waitress know ahead of time and she was very prompt in her service as we ordered right away. The inside seemed very family friendly and has a nice open kitchen area. There were some paintings and murals of Italy inside as well. The food was served very fresh and despite having to scarf it down quickly, it was very good. A good recommendation if you are in the area.

First time trying this place and the experience was exquisite!! I ordered the Stuffed Chicken which was delicious. The flavor and seasoning were done just right. Our waitress was super friendly and was quick to ask us if we needed any refills on our drinks! And I couldn't have asked for a better setting to enjoy my meal.

Ordered the "chefs special" dessert: lemon creme brûlée.0/10 the taste and smell was similar to Alfredo sauce served in half a lemon and was charged $7.99 for this.. but at least this lemon creme brûlée had more "sauce" than the bbq chicken pizza.Good pizza, tasty wine, 5 staguest service, yummy desserts. Stay home or go somewhere else

Food and service is always on point when we visit!! Main reason for this review was because I was so pleased that Shanin still offers " family meals" when I asked her about doing a meal train for a family. Under $70 with tax, included all pasta options (no seafood) with salad & bread and feeds 4-5, was a way better choice then ordering 1 pizza and 2 orders of wings for from Willie's for $85 and the family said it so was delicious and packaged well! Thank you Vito's for being so accommodating and helpful!

Great Food, Very Delicious! I Tried the Chicken Parm and Girlfriend got the Halibut and we were very impressed with our meals! The Clam Chowder is absolutely delicious! Great Service!! Very tentative and friendly! I highly recommend Vito's in Turlock! We Weill definitely be going back!

Took my dad her for a late Father's Day lunch. The service was superb and the food was delicious. Ate too many pieces of garlic bread before the main courses came out but enjoyed everything. At the table there was chicken fettuccine Alfredo (by far the best) chicken avacado wraps, chicken caprese and chicken piccata. We will definitely be back.

Love the food here! Not to mention, the ambience as well! It feels like I'm in Italy!! The staff is great, and I think that plays a part in why we keep going back. Friendly waiters and awesome food, what more can you ask for?
