12/21/24 Getting breakfast for tomorrow. Nice driving heading there! Great views! The worker was very kind. Egg white ham breakfast burrito ordered along with French toast. Go to get it shortly later. Restaurant is nice. Safe and clean. All made up with cute holiday decor. Workers were kind and welcoming. Dressed up for the holiday too! Order was ready. I paid for it side happy holiday wishes from many workers! Great! 12/22/24 Happy Sunday everyone! Breakfast burrito split. My half was DELICIOUS! Flavorful and even better with their hot sauce! French toast was Great too! Nice cinnamon flavor! I'm sure mother will feel the same when she gets up and has hers! Great service & GREAT, DELICIOUS breakfast! Highly recommended!

Ordered the steak fajita burrito and it came out piping hot. While waiting, the very friendly wait staff kept our chips, salsa and drinks full. Enjoyed the freshness of the food and the kindness and efficiency of the service. I would definitely recommend Velasco's.

I usually order Togo. Great service, inside is very traditional from when I have sat down to eat. I get the combination burrito and add potatoes, onions, and bell peppers. The burritos are so big I can only make it through half way

Food was pretty good . I got a burrito de asada 9/1". My man got the 3 tacos that come with rice and beans 7/10 . We also got 2 horchata 8/10. Place was clean and plenty of parking. The waitress was really nice to us .

We eat here frequently. The food is always fresh. The service is amazingly fast. The servers are always friendly. Wonderful stop when going up or down to the hills.

Food is traditional and a lot of flavor, chips and salsa is the bomb. Service was very good at all times. It's the meeting place for a lot of us.

So I've been here a few times over the years when heading to shaver lake or to family's houses. And it's always been good.When we were there on February 17th, we had stopped in for lunch while hanging out with family for my middles birthday . It was actually a really nice welcoming visit, I think he was the manager, was so kind and when he heard it was her birthday they made her feel special. Our waitress was so sweet as well! This restaurant is located in Prather in the parking lot of Mar-Val's grocery store. It's not very big but it's kind of cool they have a drive thru . It's nothing fancy but decent quality. You get one basket of chips with salsa for free anything after that is at a charge. We all got pretty simple stuff , the birthday girl got a kids burrito with beans and rice on the side #19 $7.25.My littlest and I decided to split a meal and to my horror he wanted a hamburger, but I was pleasantly surprised (hamburger with cheese and fries $8.95). My oldest got a kids #17 $7.25 one taco beans and rice . It's definitely a little hole in the wall kind of place that needs maybe a few new chairs lol but the food has always been decent (3.5-3.8) and not too crazy priced. I was a little bummed when I went to pay with a debit and got charged $1.60 for using it and wasn't told either that there was a charge.

I'll give it two stars because the service was excellent but unfortunately the food was not. Starting with the watery bland salsa. My horchata was watery also. My mother and I ordered the garlic shrimp and the shrimp wasn't cleaned at al. Beans and rice were bland and my husbands food was also void of flavor. We used to be regulars years ago before they moved, this was our first time back in about ten years and we won't ever be coming back after receiving such lack luster food

Velasco's Mexican restaurant makes the best chili Verde their breakfast is our very well prepared also

The service was excellent. The waitress was very friendly, the food came out very quickly, and everything was super delicious. We will be coming back next time we are in Prather.
