Valley Oak Winery

We decided to do a date day to Sanger. Holy bananas we didn't even know they had wineries over here. This one has outdoor seating with a fan and indoor seating ; which reminds me of being in someone's living room chillin. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My husband decided to try a wine tasting flight for $20; if you do a tasting and buy a bottle of any wine ; the tasting fee comes off. Makes good sense to me. The bottle of wine for the tasting are color coded with the name of the wine on paper. Pretty cool concept ; a tasting flight built around your own timetable. I decided to go for a glass of their gold dust ; omg ! Is this really wine or am I drinking liquor ? lol. This wine was strong , bold ; powerful and fruity all at the time. It consisted of dried fruits, Carmel, honey, maple, tea, strawberry jam, chocolate and more. Hahaha basically a bit of everything. So sweet and delicious . A glass of this is $10; however so worth it. Decadent and divine.

Stopped in route to have some California wine. This place is incredible. Best wine I've had yet and owner was so kind to educate us on the beautiful process of wine making. Had to take some bottles home as gifts! Couldn't recommend this place enough, thank you!!

This was our 2nd stop on the Fresno Wine Journey. SO RELAXING! The wine is delicious and the people pouring were very nice. We sat in 4 extremely comfortable chairs and they brought wine tastings to us. We will definitely return.

A very welcoming experience is offered at Valley Oak Winery. The Ubicks make it point to engage in conversation while you are tasting. We tasted a viogner, followed by three zinfandels and a merlot. The zins were a bit light for my palette, the merlot had a lot more body to it. They have many other varietals on their menu including a Sangiovese and Barbera which I would have liked to try.

Valley Oak Winery is delightful. They have used old farm equipment in the décor the wine is delicious and everyone is super nice!

Had another great wine tasting experience at Valley Oak on Halloween afternoon. Such a friendly and inviting host! Definitely worth the drive to Sanger. Outdoor seating in a large patio right alongside vineyards and orchards. Enjoyed every pour.

Stopped by this weekend and all the red wine is impressive. I just became a member. Yeeees . It's that good. It's a great new winery with reds that are yummy.

This place was amazing! Had like 7 wine samples for $10. All the samples were excellent. Purchased a bottle and owner waved $10 on the two tastings. You can bring you own food! Host/owner was very friendly, answered all our questions. We arrived at opening time and they were unexpectedly busy, but they did an excellent job keeping our glasses filled! Will definitely return here.

IMO, this is one of the best Fresno County area wineries. The service is great, if on the minimal side. They serve your tasting in mini carafes with a "road map" that walks you through the offerings. I'm always more than pleasantly surprised by a wine or two on the list. Everyone is super friendly! We usually take a ginormous snack spread and they let us nosh away and take our time. If you haven't been here yet, definitely make time to check them out!

Valley Oak Winery is the real deal with a lovely tasting room and an array of wines, many produced from vineyards on site. Easy to get to from town, and very picturesque, Valley Oak is a family business created by long-time Clovis-Sanger residents who are both knowledgeable and friendly. And their glasses are genuine crystal!
