My husband and I have both ridden in the past and had motorcycle endorsements but let themLapse. Fast forward 25 yrs and we want to start riding again. I used to have a shadow 500 but now have a 400cc maxi scooter. I didn't want to use clutch so rearranged the class to allow use of their scooter. One of the 1st comments fromInstructor in front of everyone "why do you want a scooter then proceeds to show a picture of a ruckus. I felt humiliated into using their bigger bike with a clutch. I did not pass the skills test along with 2 or 3 others in our class of 8. I would like to know why I didn't pass when Cj said I could clearly ride a motorcycle. It would be helpful to know. Not sure I'd go back to try again since I'd still be on their bike with a clutch and brakes in different places then on my own bike A waste of my 258 dollars and over 20 hrs spent in clasS and driving to and from the Merced location.

I just went through their basic course in Lodi (right off Hwy 99) in lieu of the DMV motorcycle test and couldn't be more satisfied! Our class of 12 ranged in skill level from zero to very skilled, but our trainers Jim and Jordan, kept us all engaged and entertained. Although, I have been riding for the past year on a permit and many years off road I still learned quite a bit. We started slow but by going through many technical excercises over the course of two days, we were able to ride in traffic with confidence before leaving.Jim, is a master trainer and combined a love of teaching and riding into generating confidence in the most timid of riders. Ask for his class specifically if you have any reservations about riding. Jordan, who assisted, was great at critiquing technique but also at reducing tension by sharing stories of her own personal riding failures. She's such a beauty inside and out.The class was so fun, I wish we had more planned. I'm going to miss the camaraderie, hopefully we'll meet up on the highway soon.

Took the Fresno-Selma course, very satified with the knowledge the instructors teach, how I wish other instructors I met would be as professional and skillful as the ones in here, cared for all of students, respected them and gave great adivise which was put into practice and inproved the skill and confidence of all the riders. Even though I passed I will practice those skills till I master them before I jump on open road especially my weak points that i had trouble in the course. Overall its worth what youre paying for. 5 star rating

I am very disappointed with the instruction and attitude of the instructors. I was initially very excited to learn how to ride a motorcycle. My brother and I signed up and we were very happy with the service at Matthews Harley; however, when we attended our first day of instruction in Selma the instructors were very disrespectful. This was the basic learning course and out of the 6 students there only 2 had been on a motorcycle before. I was expecting some patience from the instructors but they had very little. At one point, about have way through they stopped us and told us they should fail us. They said that they realize it's a basic academy but we need to be better and 3/4 of the class should be sent home. They said they will fail us the next day if we keep making mistakes. Needless to say this was very disheartening, I actually thought we were doing ok and I felt I was learning, but the instructors comments made me feel like I was wasting my time. My brother was even more let down. So my brother and I left the class thinking that we were going to fail, based on the instructors comments. So we decided to skip Sunday class because we didn't want to waste our time if we were just going to fail. I'm still bummed because I really thought this was a beginner course, they claim it is, and was hoping to learn and have a good time doing it. Don't advertise for new riders if you are going to try fail them or threaten to fail them. Maybe take some time and work with them so they can get better. Horrible instructors I do not recommend this place.

Absolutely disappointed. Robin, the office manager for the last 9 years was so rude. I never received any email correspondence after paying for my class. I attempted to search my inbox and never found any reminder of my up coming class. So I missed my class, never receiving any phone call or anything. They are going to keep all my money i paid for the class and then charge me again to reschedule. I asked to speak to the owner, Jack Becker, and she just blew me off and acted like he may call me. She claims a reminder was emailed to me, but I have no verifiable proof. This joint sucks!

This business is a joke! I highly recommend taking your business else where. I paid $350 for a course and took two days off of work for it. I was sent to wrong location and by the time I made it to the right location 5 min late they turned me away with no chance of a refund or reschedule. They said they sent emails that I never received. Their customer service is horrible. they should not be an authorized training facility. Do not attend unless you like wasting time and money.

I had waited for months to finally find an opening in one of the Lodi classes, so when a new session opened up, I was ecstatic. After enrolling, I made a hard copy of my registration, which gave me a schedule. On the first day, I must have inadvertently read the class schedule wrong and immediately called the office. No answer. I therefore missed the class. I called the next morning to find out if I had any options so as to not lose all my money. To my dismay, the receptionist was so completely disrespectful and rude. I can honestly say, I had never experienced any customer service so down right unprofessional that I can recall. I understood that missing the session was going to cost me, however, I never imagined I would be treated like dirt. I will never take a class from this company solely based on her actions. I emailed I complaint to the office with no response. This was a very unfortunate incident. I found another company in Stockton that does the same training, and will now give my business to them.
